[A Sentinel Situation] - Trask's Downfall - The Final Act

Val was in the pilot's seat and he was flying the X-Jet toward the White House.

Behind him, were Hank and Havok who were sitting in their seats.

Havok gripped the seatbelts tightly and asked Val, "Hey! The airspace around the White House is restricted. Won't they shoot us down if we get too close?"

Val replied, "Nah! Don't worry about that! I would simply drop you off and fly away without giving them enough time to fire at me."

Havok gulped and said, "W-Whatever you say."

Val increased the speed of the X-Jet and they zoomed through the sky.

A few seconds later, they entered the airspace around White House and they were bombarded with orders on the radio to turn the aircraft around.

But, Val ignored it and flew forward.

Val stopped the aircraft above the White House and hovered in the air.

Val turned around and said, "Good luck!"

Hank and Havok nodded and they jumped from it.

Val watched them land on the ground and quickly sped away with the X-Jet.

. . .

Trask taunted the SS agents, "If you don't want the President to die, drop your weapons!!"

However, the SS agents still aimed their weapons at him.

Trask noticed that the SS agents weren't intimidated.

So, he sneered and asked, "Do you think I'm bluffing?"

He aimed at Nixon and under the widened eyes of everybody in the room, he fired two times.

"Aarrgh!", Nixon cried out in pain as he held onto his leg which began bleeding profusely.

They glanced at Trask who had a sinister smile on his face as he asked, "Would you lower your weapons now?"

. . .

Sarah and Victor - the news duo noticed that every police officer received some orders on the walkie since after listening to it, they had a panicked expression on their faces and they hurried toward the White House.

Sarah looked around and realized that the number of police officers had decreased around the safe perimeter they had formed and the ones that remained weren't focusing on her.

She nudged Victor and whispered in his ear, "You want to earn the biggest bonus of your life?"

Victor looked at her with a confused expression on his face but he, nonetheless, nodded.

Sarah smiled widely, peeked around and said, "Follow me."

Victor saw her run toward the White House with the mic in her hand and murmured, "You are one crazy lady but...", he smiled and said, "I like it anyway."

So, he ran behind her with the camera in his hand.

. . .

Trask noticed the SS agents were still reluctant to do so and he aimed the gun at Nixon again and asked, "You want me to make him paraplegic? I would happily do that if you want me to do so."

Before any of the SS agents could answer, Nixon shouted, "Stoooop!"

The SS agents looked at him and noticed that he was struggling to contain the blood that was leaking out of his shin.

Nixon ordered, "D-Do as he says!"

The SS agents shouted immediately, "But... Mr. President, yo-"

Nixon interrupted them as he ordered, "Listen to me! Do as he says! Lower your weapons!"

Trask grinned as the SS agents lowered their weapons and threw them on the floor.

He whispered in Nixon's ear, "Good choice, old man."

Then, he ordered the agents, "Now, raise your hands in the air and stand by the wall."

The SS agents reluctantly followed his orders and did so.

Trask pulled Nixon by his collar as he said, "Come on, old man. Let's go a peaceful walk."

He aimed at the agents who glared at him hatefully and said, "If you value your life then, no sudden movements, please."

He slowly got out of the meeting room while also dragging Nixon by the collar.

He walked into the hallway as every staff looked at Nixon with fear and shock.

Trask fired a few times at the ceiling and shouted, "Clear the way, people!"

Everybody hurriedly raised their hands in the air and lay on the floor.

Trask repeated the same thing until he reached the entrance and broke through it.

He walked outside with Nixon and after a deep breath, he murmured, "Outside, at last!"

. . .

A few seconds earlier,

Sarah and Victor arrived near the entrance of the White House.

Both of them were panting heavily.

Suddenly, they heard gunshots in the building and Victor took Sarah's hand and shouted, "Quick! In the bushes!"

They ran and hid among the bushes.

Sarah urged Victor, "Start recording, quickly!"

"I'm on it!", Victor replied and switched the camera on.

At that moment, the doors swung open and they saw a short man with a submachine gun in his hand walk out along with another man he was dragging by the collar.

They realized that the other man was none other than President Nixon himself.

Sarah had dollar signs in her eyes as she saw the scene in front of her and she quietly exclaimed, "OH..MY..GOD!!!"

. . .

In an undisclosed location,

Madame Hydra was standing on the stairway above while below her were scientists, who were working hard.

Suddenly, a HYDRA soldier arrived near her and respectfully bowed his head.

Madame Hydra asked, "What happened?"

The HYDRA soldier took out a photograph and gave it to her and replied, "This."

She took the photo and stared at it for a few seconds.

Then, she gave it back and ordered, "Begin Project Alpha immediately."

The soldier respectfully said, "As you say, Supreme Leader."

He chanted the usual slogan of HYDRA and walked away.

Madame Hydra stared at the scientists below her and murmured, "Just you wait...Reaper... one more week."
