“Young Lord! Young Lord! It is time to wake up” A voice called onto me.
I slowly opened my eyes and saw Maa bending over me.
“Good Morning Young Lord.”
“Good Morning Maa.”
“How are you feeling today?”
“Fine, but as usual I made the same nightmare.”
“Again?”
“Yes, and as always, I can’t remember any detail of it once I wake up but I know for sure that it was a horrible one, I’m not a big fan of your concoction, but if you have one that repels nightmare, I will gladly take it.”
“I fear that I don’t have such a thing.”
“I see that’s a shame.”
I left my bed and headed as usual, to the bathroom, on my way I suddenly stopped when I saw my reflection in the mirror.
A young boy who is more or less ten, four limbs: two hands, one pair of red eyes, long black hair,
Someone absolutely normal in any aspect.
After spending a few minutes contemplating my reflection, I finally went to take a bath.
Being done with it, I headed straight to the ground floor to take the breakfast, and they’re sitting on the long table in the dining room where were served the breakfast, was sitting a young boy and a young girl both around my age.
They simultaneously turned at me.
The boy had silver hair and blue eyes, while the girl had brown-red hair and crimson eyes
They were…
“Ronandt, what are you doing, standing there? Take a seat.” The girl said.
“Sorry, my bad.”
I immediately executed myself and went sitting on one of the table’s chairs.
“You see, Ramia and I was wondering what we would do today. Apparently, just because today is a sunny day, she wants us to spend all our time outside,”
“I know that you and Mael love holing yourself inside a library, but I simply can’t. How do you want me to survive 4 hours in a room closed without any form of aeration? That room is enclosed enough to make someone like “Me” Crostlophobic.”
“It’s claustrophobic.”
“As if I cared. It doesn’t change the fact that it’s suffocating in that library.”
“It isn’t.”
That’s right, how could I forgot, the boy was Mael Edouard, my cousin and the girl was Ramia, my half-sister.
“Ronandt, what do you think?”
“Hein, who me?”
“You’ve been silent since the beginning, it’s your library right, you should at least say something.“
“Even if you say that, I don’t know what exactly I can say, I’ve always been using that library since I was five, and I never really felt suffocating in there.”
“You know what Ronandt, your opînion doesn’t matter at all, Yours is just an overly subjective opinion blinded by both nostalgia and pride.”
“Eh!”
“It was you who asked his opinion in the first place.”
“He should have a better one then.”

I heard approaching the room we were in several familiar footsteps. Footsteps whose owners were quickly revealed.
A blonde man whose red eyes were very similar to Ramia’s and mine, and a Silver-haired man whose both blue eyes and silver were very similar to Mael’s, both headed to the table we were seated upon.
“Good morning Grandpa, Good morning my uncle.”
“Good morning Father, Good Morning Grandpa,”
“Good morning Grandfather, Good morning my Uncle.”
The silver-haired man was Emilien Edouard, both My, Mael’s, Ramia’s grandfather and the blonde man was Luke Aubrecht, our father to Ramia and me.
“Good morning.” They both responded as they took seats.
“What were you three discussing so vividly?”
“Well, you see Grandpa it’s about the library, they...”
Ramia went on with her explanation when I heard another footstep, one that I was very familiar with, more than Luke’s and Grandfather’s.
A man with brown and soon-to-be-white hair, wearing a butler outfit made his apparition.
“Good morning Young Lord … Young Lord? …Does something matters?”
“Good morning Syrus, No, why would you ask?”
“No, it’s just that…” With that said he offered me a tissue.”You’re tearing up.”
He was right tears were flowing profusely from my eyes.
I immediately took the tissues, proceeded to wipe the tears from my face.
“Ah~ I haven’t noticed, where does this come from? Am I going crazy for crying like this out of nowhere?”
“Are you okay?” Everyone sitting at the table asked upon seeing my reaction.
“Yes, it’s nothing. No need to worry about this. Sorry for that.”
We then proceeded to take our breakfast.
With the intervention of my Grandfather, it has been settled that just like usual we would spend half our day outside as Ramia wanted but in the afternoon we would hole ourselves (as Ramia calls it) in the library.
Being done with the breakfast, I stood up from my chair and was ready to follow Ramia and Mael to the schedule we agreed on earlier when Grandfather called on me.
“Ronandt, Please we have something we must discuss with you, in private.”
With a sign of the hand, I asked Mael and Ramia to go ahead.
“I think it would be best if we discuss it in the living room.”
I followed them to the living room, inside Maa and Vicar Serena was waiting for us.
“Take a seat.”
“Yes,”
“I’m sure you must talk about your coronation.”
“What about it?”
“The time has finally come, with your great-grandfather Armand Aubrecht finally arriving in Beaumont, we can finally proceed to it. ”
I felt the beating of my heart accelerating at an insane speed.
“Already? Wasn’t I supposed to meet him first? Then-”
“It is as Vicar Serana said, the earlier it is done the better it is. Right?” Grandfather said expecting some confirmation from Vicar, at which she responded with a nod.
For some reason that I ignore, I wasn’t really eager to meet that person.
“And, aren’t you impatient to see your magic, I know that don’t you are a little afraid of your own magic and especially to hurt people with, but with us around I’m sure everything will be fine.
“Just trust us ok?”
“Okay.”
“Then, I think it is time for you to meet your great-grandfather.”
“What so fast?”
“Yes.”
Syrus who was standing next to the door then opened it, allowing a man to enter the living room.
The man had blonde hair, he was old indeed but his physical appearance rejuvenated him for at least twenty years. His eyes were similar to ours, Ramia, Luke, and I, but none of neither Luke’s nor Ramia’s provoked such reaction to me.
“My name is Armand Au-”
Before he could even finish, his introduction, I had leaped at his throat, pinning him down.
At his sight, I immediately remember the content of my nightmare.
“YOU!!!!”
My heart was full of wrath like I never felt before.
“THEY ALL TRUSTED YOU!!!!”
“You must die.”
“You must die.”
“GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH”
The dream, the nightmare, everything ...
I remembered everything,
What forced Syrus to do.
Everything they did to me.
Him, her, them.
All of them.
Their face, I will never forget,
I moved my hand from his neck to his eyes,
“REMEMBER THIS, YOU, EACH OF YOUR THIRTEEN OTHER COMRADES, AND EVERYONE THEY HOLD DEAR, I WILL RIP THEM APART, I WILL CRUSH THEM INTO NOTHING BUT A POOL OF BLOOD! THIS IS A OATH I SWEAR ON EVERYTHING I HOLD DEAR TO HONOR:”
I plunged both of my thumbs inside both his eyes, squishing them in a juicy mess, I applied considerable pressure between both of my hands reducing his head into nothing but a gory mess of blood, bone, and flesh.
I rose up from the lifeless corpse, I was seating upon and looked at Maa, Syrus, Everyone, they all stood motionless.
All of them and everything around me began to crumble into nothingness,
There was no nightmare.
There was no Maa waking me in the morning.
There was no me in the Rosetta Manor with Mael and Ramia.
There is no longer any Syrus to offer me a tissue whenever I cry.
Only the bitter and sour-tasting reality remained, and by this futile dream, I was attempting to escape it.
