Hey, everyone, it's been a while.
I have a big and sad announcement to make. Basically, as most of you have probably guessed, I'm dropping this novel. Why? Well, it's simple. It's a novel that no longer brings me joy to write. While I enjoyed writing it, I only had around 10 consistent readers, including Bast Mora, Inkujiin, Guillherme Henrique, Lord Vitor, Carl Waltercnab (Special thanks for you sole patreon of mine) and a few others. The fact that you guys were reading this messy story kept me going, hoping that more people would like it. But it's time for me to face the reality that it's not going to happen.
I don't even know how I managed to keep writing for so long. Well, actually, I do. It was to reach this final arc that was originally meant for Mael, who was initially my protagonist instead of Ronandt. In my mind, Ronandt and Nia were the antagonists, god-like beings against whom Mael, the protagonist, and his cousins (Barbosse's sons) couldn't do anything. However, we ended up with this version of the story, which isn't bad, by the way.
Anyway, here we are. Moving forward, I'm not quite sure what I should say. However, I can provide some explanation about the direction the story might have taken if it hadn't been dropped, as well as an overview of the overall lore.
- Rena is a dragon. Dragons are stars that have developed sentience. Rena was initially a Siamese egg (planet) with a sister named Rene. Rena became a dragon thanks to a boost given by Aina, while her Siamese sister is still growing (she is the literal planet).
- Ronandt is An. An was the evil dragon Rana's third head (a two-headed dragon). The two-headed dragon represents chaos and harmony and takes up the role of guardian for this world. Rana is the original two-headed born of the goddess Aina (they are Gods before being dragons). It is only after the Goddess departure from this world that was born "An" the third head of the two-headed dragons. Ironically enough it was only at the birth of the third head that the two headed dragons received the ability to take human forms which is a form they would spent a lot of time in (as they were humoungous in size in their dragon). In human form their forms would greatly mimick their mother, their humans form were that of a three identical triplets (the "Ra" and "Na" looks the same but An, while looking like his older brothers is made of an otherwordly white color). Tree little boys who spent most of their time (sleeping) in the middle of the wood by themselves.
- An was loved to death (son-mother, older sister relashionship) by Mana, the wandering goddess.
- An was killed by a jealous Rena.
- The two-headed dragons kill Rena but are unable to bring their brother back to life.
- To bring An back to life, Mana decides to use all the surrounding energy to revive An. For that, she revives Rena but strips her of her identity and splits her body into eight equal halves (8 primordials), which she sends against the two-headed dragon.
- The eight battle against the two-headed dragon but aren't able to do much against them, as the two-headed dragons represent two absolute powers (chaos and harmony). In the end, all they can do is weaken the two-headed dragon. It is then that Mana shows up and executes what could be considered a tactical nuking. She defeats the two-headed dragon at a price: losing most of her power. She doesn't care about it because now that they are defeated, she believes she can use their souls to give birth to her beloved An (who was their brother).
- Since she doesn't have much energy left, she kills herself to impart her power to many living beings and plans to one day wake up and harvest back her power, which would be multiplied generation upon generation by those she imparted it to (my girl is a farmer).
- While her plan was to one day wake up and harvest all the souls and thus give birth to An herself, she failed to consider that she might encounter some problems. The two-headed dragon was too much for her to simply digest. 40,000 years after that battle, these Siamese dragons broke free and reincarnated into two soon-to-be-born humans: two twins born from a noble and a commoner.
- Yes, yes, yes. Those twins were Ronandt's brothers. Now, I believe most of you now understand how Ronandt came to be born and who he is.
----------------------------------------
Now let's head back 4000 years before the story begins, Solomons abandon the apostle to save his daughter, the duty to protect humanity falls upon the apostles's shoulder. It soon became a task apparent to be too heavy for them. They realize they need more people they tries to breed among themselves but it doesn't work very smoothly as it is a lengthy process.
Hundreds of years goes by until one day, the apostle realize something, they're getting old. They understand that the end is near. Some accept death, others don't.
Kiady and Aurora went to seek Mon (we all know how it ended.)
Djeem would accept death, but would also create this custom of upon death becoming a battery powering the barrier.
Kine would follow her husband to death.
Sora would be the one to care the less about her death, as her worry was instead about giving birth to her latest child, which she highly expected to be a boy (she lost her first boy at birth (she started the birthing curse for nobles, and since she only ever had daugther, she would have seven of theml.) So for her last she was highly expecting a boy.
Huye would be the complete opposite to his wife, obsessed with his duty he would dedicate the years that he know were his last to exploring his magic: soul magic.
-It would be then that Huye would discover about what Mana had done, what she was planning to do in the future (all the living being to her were nothing but crops waiting to be harvested). Obsessed but closer than ever to death, he would seek for a way to remain longer on earth (he believe he was the one destined to save humanity). He would seek a solution everywhere but would fine nothing---well nothing expect one. One that grew inside his pregnant wife.
My man's plan was to graft his sould into his soon to-be-born son, so that he would be able to continue his quest to save humanity. Hearing this, Sora is disgusted, and naturally refuse to be part in any of this. Too bad for her, Huye was a man of focus, commitment and sheer fucking will. He would go on with his plan, thus grafting his soul into his son. Sora would die tied in bed giving birth to a son that wouldn't be completely her son. She would die in labor.
-Huye, now reborn into Huye second of his name, would be raised by his daugthers/sisters marrying into them. Very fucked up I know but that was for a reason: So that he could use this process for thousand of years. And for that process to work, what he needed the most was the purity of his blood. I'll explain this later.
-While Sora did die on labor, the story didn't simply end there for her. Per miracle, or simply per a set of very fortunate circumstance she didn't simply die (vanish into nothing). She was, thanks to most likely her yet unborn child magic, uploaded (her soul) into a sort of branch connecting thousand of living being (this branch was something Mana was taking advantage of to one day be born again.) Sora had acess (very limited access) to that thing, in she wasn't particularly cousious when she was uploaded there, she just knew that she was there sometime feeling like she was moved from place to place, without knowing that in the real world while she remained there, she connected to random pregnant women turning their baby into noble: there you go. This is the secret of what are child of light.
-Huye immediately understand when he first see a child of light what was happening (he felt the influence of his wife), he also understood one thing the child of light were imune to his magic. He had nothing against children of light, as so for they displayed no intent on going against him, but just to be sure. Huye created the church, to keep an eyes on them as they quickly become more frequently born than were natural occoring noble. Huye also married his daughter/sister because he understood that he wouldn't be able to grafted himself into something but pure-blood decendant of his. Thus were born the seven great family, which he put in charge of the church. it is also thus that were born the ranks of archbishop and holy paladins. One thing he also did that made him a certifiate asshole was to change something about the barrier. The barrier was intially built to hold off moster, now it is built to allow him to reincarnate into babies without having to care about the distance.

-Huye wuld continue reincarnating into his descendant unti one day he would reincarnate into strange babies. You've guesed it, those babies were the reincarnation of the two headed dragons. (First I believe you must first understand how this mf reincarnate basically, he tears baby's soul apart then impart part of his soul there (there part he impart is a partial memories of his and his soul magic.) The baby would then grow up, knowing what he is, as he grow he would naturally reach out to the church from which he would make contact with his former body and consume of what is left to consume of the old body's remaining soul).
He was unable to do anything to these babies soul (which he didn't realize were the dragon's reincarnee, he also failed to realize that the mother was actually a commoner). He was very confused about what the baby were but when he felt magical potential on the babies greed got the best of him. During two whole months he would try, failling without giving up. It would be in the final moment of the pregnancy that salty and believe that the baby could be a threat to him that he decide to instead turn his fangs to the soul of the mother.
----------------------------------------
Now about Barbara's part of the story, she was born a very normal girl. Normal except one thing, she was one of the woman to which Sora was connected, the only thing was just that she wasn't pregnant, but she was destined the moment she would to bear a child of light. But when she became pregnant, what she bore was not child of light but instead the dragon's soul.
Weirdly enough, Barbara was when about to be abused by the noble who fancied her, saved by the baby in her belly (who strangely could communicate with her). The dragons were condescending for they hated the fact that they had reincarnated into human but they come toosoon appreciate the woman that were soon to be their mother, for strangely the women strangely took their existance as some sort of miracles (basically she accepted them in spite of how weird it must be to have foetus speaking to you).
She would run away from her hometown, for she knew the danger she was now confronted, her mind made on giving birth to those two children who for her were a mircale.
----------------------------------------
Now back to what happens during labors, she would be attacked by Huye, her soul would torn apart, so prompted to action the brother did something they weren't really sure they should/could, they fused to give birth to Ronandt, as we currently know him. Ronandt was born with actually a set of instructions, but he was born with the potential: the one to wield his brother's powers (chaos and harmony) and the potential to become what he wished to be (soul magic/power). The main instruction he was born with was to save the woman that were their mother, he was born built for that, that's how he was able to save their mother from Huye's influence (Ronandt would even go as far to violently attack Huye's poor soul). She would nonetheless definitely lose the part she lost (memories), but splinter of those memories would be sprinkled onto the newborn Suraxai who would devellop a strangely advanced consciousness for a newborn baby (If you reread the first chapter, you'll notice Alexei's obsession for fancy looking thing. That's a trait he inherited from Barbara not his former self or even less his brother). Tada! Mystery solved.
----------------------------------------
Now after that event, Huye (the current Pontiff) would issue a Faty Adidy upon the someone he felt had attacked his soul (you see, he doesn't know that Ronandt was actually a newly formed soul, to him, the attack was the doing of someone's magic. To him, in his mind, the faceless one was an enemy that had killed his victims not the being born of his victims.
----------------------------------------
Now how this all connect with the holy war that is supposed to happen in the two last books, well it's simple: The Holy war is between the church led by what is left of the holy paladin and the archbishop and the aristocracy led by the mother, Nia and Alexei (the three of them doesn't take part in the war, as it is a war to be battled by humans which they no longer are.)
Since I talked about the mother it's about time I reveal her identity. You most likely guessed it, since she claims to be the mother of all child of light, she is naturally none other than the Apostle Sora, daughter of the moutain. But since we've seen Nia burning Sora's corspe how does that come to be, you wonder, well it's simple: her body is dead but her soul still live taking over someone's body (similar yet very different from Huye's method.) I let you guess who is the one she took over the body....3...2.... Ding, ding, ding, yes! Exactly, it was Barbara, why? I don't know... But most lilkely because the two of them got screwed by the same asshole, got their baby killed by the same asshole, and quite possibly because in a certain way, Barbara was meant to bore one of Sora's child of light. I was planning to leave that to the audience to guess but whatever.
----------------------------------------
The final battle was supposed to show these battle: Ramia vs H.P Medvedik, Mael vs Archbishop Medvedik, The Scavenger's crow (I forgot his name lol, it's the dude who is always at the mother's side) vs Ivan Whiteley, Empire (empress faction) vs Empire (Ezekiel faction) and the church, Empire (Ezekiel faction) and the church vs Aristocracy's aerial fortress.
The final final battle is supposed to take in the holy city where Ronandt and Nia will finally have some action.
Mael and Ramia vs Barbosse's sons, Ronandt vs Uriel (who reveal himself to be the reincarnation of Huye), Nia vs Arte (wanting to avenge his father).
Both Barbosse's brother shows formidal fighting skill but none of them can really defeat either Nia or a Ronandt.
Impressed by Arte's stubborness to avenge his father she shares his brother secret with him (that his brother is somewhat of a reincarnation of huye) and that that their plan today was to put an end to all of this (she hints that his brother is going to die against Ronandt). Arte immediately abandons the fight to help his brother, Nia allows him to leave.
Uriel is about to be effortlessly defeated by Ronandt, but is ultimately joined by his brother who claims to know what he is, but still want to stay by his side to the end. The two brothers battle ronandt, not much changes about the battle but Ronandt find their brotherly love wholesome reminding him of his brother. Ronandt get serious (by respect) and quickly defeat them, and reveal to them that Uriel is not actually a full-blown reincarnation of Huye, Uriel was just a failed attempt of Huye at reincarnation. Uriel was just a normal kid with vague memories of the real one, the true Huye is still somewhere out there.
Then there in a god of war fashion the final boss show up, using all the energy used to conjure the barrier, Huye appears in a snake-like form and battle Alexei. I'm too lazy to describe this battle so I'll summarize it:
- Ronandt can't defeat the serpent in his forme
- The serpent realize he can't simply defeat ronandt so decide to use his trap card, use the barrier to absorb mana off all the nobles of the continent, he gets stronger.
- Ronandt get serious and take his true form: a four eyed-four winged black and red dragon, wrestle with the big snake and fly him into space (shattering the barrrier along the way) before beaming him with a breath attack that send him hurtling back to earth like a damn meteorite.
- The big snake is defeated, but Huye isn't dead, he show up somewhere in the serpent's body. He show with an old body, the first body he ever stolen (that of his son), the body is old, so naturally it's weakened, it comes out begging for help, it's at this moment that the mother arrive and greet his former husband.
- They talks, I let you imagine what they talks about. Huye begs to be saved saying stuff about their dream to see humanity prosper, there Sora say that she doesn't a FUCK about what heppens to humanity, she is no hero, she is just a human, a mother, and today she was here to free her son's body of the who stole it from him.
- She watches Huye dies, and take the body in her arms, before approaching Ronandt who still was in his dragon form.
- There she thanks Ronandt from everything, her son will finally have peace, she says that her job is done, it is time for her to go. She bid her farewell to Ronandt and of course to Barbara, the owner of the body she is using.
- She disappear along with the body of her son, leaving Barbara alone in front of Ronandt.
We get a flashforward after the war, a new order take place, a new order led by the Aristocracy, the remnants of the previous ruling power, and a new generation of leader of noble-descent led by Ramia, Mael, and the Barbosse Brothers.
The final chapter was meant to feature Ronandt bidding farewell to everyone, including his two mothers: Maa and Barbara (who is pregnant, how? I don't know), on the flying fortress from which he is about to embark on another journey. Naturally, Nia accompanies him. As they jump from the flying fortress, Ronandt and Nia assume their dragon forms and take to the skies towards the stars. Their goal is to find their Creator, Aina. They also know that humanity is destined to perish, and there is no salvation without confronting their respective siblings: Rana, who is a god and an embodiment of two concept: Chaos and Harmony, and Rene, who is the literal planet. Additionally, their friends, Mana, are part of this equation. Ronandt and Nia have come to terms with the impending demise of humanity. It's not that they don't care; rather, they believe it is not their responsibility to save humanity. If humanity is meant to survive despite the presence of the gods, it will. If it cannot, then so be it.
The chapter ends with their venture through the stars in search of Aina, whom both of them are well aware is likely the loneliest among the gods.
Now, I think that's it, isn't it? I might have gone over several things too rapidly, but that's pretty much all. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them in the comments (I know you most likely won't, but it still makes me feel like some YouTuber and stuff).
Anyway, thank you all for reading this novel up to this point. When I began writing, I mostly relied on Google Translator, but now I don't even use it anymore. I have grown up, and I believe I have learned from my mistakes. That's why, if you feel like I deserve a second chance at writing, I invite you to check out my new novel, "They Who Slither Through the Stars."Alternatively, if you're interested, you can purchase my book on Amazon and leave a review.
