Chapter 229:

Chapter 229:

"Has anyone, for god’s sake, seen Reina?" Frustrated, Ana, asked.

"I did not," answered Ramia.

"Neither did I," Mael replied.

"I think nobody has seen her, Ana," Ferdinandt, lying on the sofa across the room, informed, "and that’s the case for everyone, right Adrianna."

"It's been a while since I've seen her, too, five days if I recall correctly."

"See, she's been missing for five days."

"What happened to you all of a sudden—weren't you two like cats and dogs, what with this sudden care?"

"Oh, trust me, I don't care about her, but aren't you guys a little concerned? I mean, she was kind of useless to us all, especially to this faction, but it's been five days since we've all seen her. We aren’t going to pretend like this is normal, right?"

"I suppose you have a point, but it’s Reina we’re talking about. She came out of nowhere and stuck around doing nothing but playing around as though we were some entertainment club. Perhaps she got bored of us; with her, nobody really knows," Ferdinandt remarked.

"She’s a hell of a breed, so I’m pretty sure she doesn't need you to worry about her, Ana."

"I’m not worrying about her Ramia, it’s just that… she’s… you’ve seen it right, the other day she was reekings of alcohol."

The five of them remembered that day clearly. That day, among them, only Ana had the guts to address the pungent smell the young girl was harboring.

"What was I saying, 'a hell of a breed.'" Anyway, I would suggest you stop caring so much; she’ll be greatly amused if she were to hear that you were worried about her."

"I am not worried about her, Ramia."

"Then stop behaving like you are."

Just as Ramia was done talking, a knock reverberated at their doors, and before Ramia could give permission, the door opened, revealing a familiar face.

"Big brother."

"Hi, Adrianna. Hello, everyone," the young man said as he entered the room. I hope I wasn’t interrupting anything."

"Good morning, Prince, and no, you were not. Right, Ana?"

"Of course," Ana confirmed, before withdrawing.

"So Big Brother, what can we do for you?"

"Well, to tell you the truth, sweet sister, I’m not really here for the Ascending Nobility; I am here because I’d like to discuss with Mael."
