Tail swinging, scaly creature feasting upon a boar on the side of the road. It’s off-green with slightly blue hue. A gnawing jaw and it has four limbs, almost humanoid.
Rosa pulls out her sword, but I grabbed her shoulder.
It’s a lizardman, not a monster.
I took charge as we walk past him, but he took notice of us. Our eyes met and he fall on his tail, confirming the reality of my new form.
His greatsword unsheathed but he’s trembling even move.
‘Not worth the effort.’
We ignore him, and it’s also a smart decision that he also didn’t try to pursue.
Though I’m hoping for a smooth journey. There are a couple of feral wolves blocking the road and they took notice of us real quick.
“Want me to handle them?”
I may not be able to cast any spells, but that doesn’t mean I can’t do anything. With [Telekinesis], I hold them in place. Then, an idea came to mind. Instead of sending them into the air and let the gravity do its thing or smashing around, why don’t I try to… Twist them.
*Crrrack*
*Crack*
*Crack*
Head, neck, arms, upper and lower body, squished, mushed.
“Woah there, I think you’ve overdone it.”
* [3x] Magic Core / Common / Contains the soul of a low ranked creature
* [8x] Wolf Pelt / Common / Skin of a wolf
Small magic core at the size of pinky finger.
‘Hm, how do I consume this?’
Putting it in my mouth.
I felt a little sting, and now it’s gone.
{+50 Exp}
‘Experience Points just from eating that?’
‘Heheh, well now. Say less.’
With both palms, I let out all the magic core I’m seeing and put them all in my mouth. I didn’t feel much when it was one, but now I can see arcane particles puffing out of my mouth.

“Siola? You okay there?”
Putting my thumb up.
“Okay, don’t just start doing weird things without telling me, okay?”
Putting another thumb up.
She rests on a rock as she watches me gorge on every single magic core I have. Increasing my level several more times and there I finally get to the big one.
The legendary core. Absorbing it straight up. I feel rejuvenated.

Twenty whole levels from that alone. I can actually learn all the spells that I have in my possession but what’s the point in that when I can’t cast them.
‘I know of a way, but then I’ll have to deal with those lizardmen.’
One lizard is never a problem, but you take a group of them together, that’s when things can get a little tricky. Especially if one is a spell caster.
‘If not me, I at least want Rosa to be a bit stronger. Strong enough to handle things without me. Since she has also obtained Pantheon Drive, the chances of her being able to do so is high.’
‘Heh, what am I saying, I don’t think she ever actually needs me.’
There’s also one more magic core that I haven’t yet consumed.
* [1x] Black Magic Core / Legendary / Contains a dark soul
It’s not as big the other legendary core, it’s just as big as my palm and as long as my forearm. Upon consuming it, I didn’t receive any Experience Points, but…

! {Transcendental Purity has been increased}
* Transcendental Purity Next Rank: 1/3000
‘A purity increase, just like that?’
Transcendental Purity is a progression beyond master, beyond ancient, beyond ascended. Eventually, one will be locked out from leveling beyond Level 1500. Which is the checkpoint for an Ancient rank to evolve into Ascended being. Every checkpoint onward will continue to be locked until the required purity is fulfilled.
It’s also going to be required for one to use “Transcendental Law” spells.
! {New Quest Received}
* Undeath / Ancient / Embrace your new form and reach an even higher height / Requirement 1: Obtain [Death Lord] Title / Requirement 2: Obtain alternate way to Cast spells / Requirement 3: Consume a Dark Soul / Requirement 4: Become Wraith / Reward: Evolve into a Lich / Condition: Fail if you change into human form
‘Lich?’
‘Seems to be the continuation of the previous Quest which I had yet to complete. I guess it’s fine to do them since they can make me stronger anyway.’
‘Death Lord title is going to be a pain, but even I who was a Priest can get them.’
*Rumble *Rumble
‘Hm?’
Rumbling from the forest. I see trees falling one by one. Closer and closer, if I have my eyes, they would be peeled by now. A minotaur charging straight at me.
My fingers together, I stab with [Telekinesis], pushing the minotaur’s head down. It sends itself rolling upwards. Our eyes met before it crashes out.
Rosa rolled to the side before it hits.
*Brmmmmmmm*
She grabs her violin and starts playing.
! {Melodic Empowerment}
* Melodic Empowerment: Additional reserve to [Max Health], [Max Mana], [Max Stamina] has been added by 125 points. Additional 40% increase to Physical Defense and Magical Defense
It recovers and starts to violently bashing around with its horns.
Rosa also starts smacking it with the sound she’s making with her violin but despite the size of the monster, it is extremely agile. His ferocity is halted by my [Telekinesis]. I grasp and hold it in place as Rosa spam her violent soundwave. It struggles so hard that it might just escape from me.
‘Hnngh.’
I pulled the thing away and raise it high to the air before smashing it down.
*BOOM*
‘NOW!’
Of course, there’s no sound coming out of my mouth but Rosa understood perfectly what she’s supposed to do. She pulls out a weird sword and take a plunge.
Violent burst of volcanic eruption blows from the ground.
*BOOOM*
The explosion creates quite a powerful heat in the air. Despite how much protection I have against Fire, I can still… no, I actually don’t feel anything.
! {Level UP}
“Siola, look.”
A large magic core, but it is no legendary unfortunately.
“What, it’s not it?”
I shook my head.
“I see. And here I thought I should go all out.”
I’m still taking it.
The minotaur is a lot bigger up close. Though, with its head decapitated and its upper body glazed in lava. I can hardly say that.
Once we passed the forest, we climbs uphill following the mountain road. Night is about to set but just before the cliffside, there lies an encampment of players outside of the dungeon gate. However, there is no players in it.
“Empty? For a supposedly be the most popular VR game, there doesn’t seem to be that many people playing it.”
‘Ekolia is big. Just look at the spawn point, it’s possible that they went to another—’
Ah shit! I forgot I can’t speak. I could’ve refuted that point!
We descended nicely thanks to the few ladders set up by previous people. It truly is empty, but that works out good for me considering my form.
Umbral Dungeon. A place full of undead, and there’s only three floors. Even when I reached Transcendental Rank, I still went to this place to chill and hangout. There is an abundance of enemies, endless of them on every single floor.
Yet to be open, we seem to be the first one to enter post-patch.
“Hmm, the air feels… different here.”
The entrance is dark, you won’t see much if you don’t bring out a torch, but you never need one further in as glowing crystals are all over the place. Other than farming spot for Exp, this is a great place to mine for rare resources. But one has to deal with the dead first. Despite how spacious the area is, they’re packed full of those shaky bones.
{Dread Skeleton / Level 120}
“Seems a lot more powerful than the first floor of our previous dungeon.”
A shadow of myself left my body and the both of us jumped down. I brought Rosa with my [Telekinesis] and my shadow pushes the skeletons down before clearing our landing. When one notices us, all of them jumped in on the action.
Telekinetically, I pushes them before rounding them up, but as I don’t have an AOE spell. I will have to rely on my sister delivering the blow with music.
Violently creating soundwave that crushes and split the bones coming our way. Her, me, and my shadow work together in synchrony.
{Dread Skeleton / Level 150}
{Dread Draugr / Level 150}
{Dread Ghoul / Level 200}
Second floor is filled with toxin puffing creatures, Ghouls. They have skinny limbs and stature but large torso and sunken head.
I keep them at bay while Rosa continues on killing them effortlessly with her strings of music. But then, I sense her reaching over the limit and activated Pantheon Drive.
Hundreds of enemies keep approaching and there’s thousands of them, she continues playing her violin as it glows brightly in blue.
And so, I use [Telekinesis] to help her a bit and started rowdily crashing every undead creating a whole stack to twist them back and forth. I started doing it with both hands, and remove the upper body and the lower body of our enemies, separating them.

“Hnngh.”
Side effect of Pantheon Drive. Thankfully, not too severe. It’s not bad for me to rest either. I need to catch up on some things.

* Book of Mad Dead / Mythic / Contains the knowledge of Mad Dead Arts and Laws
‘Arts and Laws? Forgetting the latter, the art will surely have some restriction too.’
High requirements, as expected. One of them being the magic that is inside the Crypt Dead Lock that I sold to BunnyLoop.
* Art of the Mad Dead, Crucible Black / Tier 7 – Supreme / Cast Sign to summon Death Lord from beyond to wreck everything in its path, dealing 3500-6000 damage, and can conjure Death Knights to assist in its rampage / Cost: 3000 Mana / Requirement: 100 Faith, 350 Intelligence
Unless it is truly unique, spells that exist as an innate enchantment will always be the inferior version. However, it is impossible for me to cast even the lowest tier spells on this book. I will need to have a look at it again once I reach at least level 300.
“Urgh, I feel useless.”
Looking at her in the eye, and grabbed her shoulder. I nodded to that statement.
“Mrmmph, you’re not supposed to agree to that.”
