“Welcome to the Major Leagues, peopleeeeeeeeee!”
“Here we are again! Ekolia Global Elites Championship 2077! I was so very excited! Very hyped to see you all gather in this stadium to witness the greatest moment in VRMMO!”
“BUT!”
A huge sigh from the news anchor, “Unfortunately, the god themselves have said NO to this summer! New Patch for Ekolia has just dropped! Sad to say, but we gotta lay back and wait. Gotta makes sure everyone is prepped and adjusted to the new changes with the game.”
“And so! With heavy heart, the competition is delayed to Fall!”
“I’m still looking forward to all of you to—”
My ears started ringing the moment I heard it. Eyes narrowed, my delicate fingers grazing on my forehead as I feel brain freeze from this ice cream.
“New Patch?”
And here I thought that I would get a break by coming to the city, especially after hearing all those nagging back home.
The noises from people walking on the roadside, the cars, the birds, and the robots serving me coffee. Unfortunately, not enough to distract me.
My sister got me new clothes. A little wild for my taste, punk-ish style has never been my thing. But when I see her busy arguing about nutrition or whatever she’s on about. Makes me grin.
Taking the ice cream with me, I blend in with the crowds and disappear from there.
“Ahhh,” hopping from the taste of the ice cream to the chilling breeze, “Freedom is so sweet!”
“…”
“But now what?”
As I navigate through the city, I thought to myself, ‘Being brought here is not all bad.’
Aside from the fact that Sky Sector itself is a much more peaceful place than that of Desolated Sector, there’s a lot of opportunities here. One that aligns with me.
“First, I need a place to stay and second, find a way to game.”
Rummaging through my past, I remember someone. One who watches my downfall from the backline, she’s just perfect.
And so, I set out straight to her house, or rather, her apartment. Just like me, she still lives with her family, but unlike me, she cared about her image.
Thirty sixth floor, Room number 288.
*Knock *Knock *Knock
“…”
*Knock *Knock
*Clack*
I expected to see her shocked expression, but…
“Siola? Is that you, sweetie?”
“Ah, Minty’s Mama?”
Picked me up like a doll and brought me to her huge tiddies.
*Squeeze*
“Awww, it’s really you. How have you been?! You’ve grown taller since I last saw you.”
‘Mwehehehehehe, boobies!’
‘No wait!’
“Minty’s Mama, can you help me with something?”
“Yes, yes, but let’s get inside first. It’s hot outside, no?”
If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
Instead of putting me down on the sofa, she continues to carry me on her lap.
“Mm, you’re still as light as a feather, have you eaten yet? Wanna have breakfast?”
Shaking head, “Nooo, Minty Mama, listen,” pulling away from her boobies, “I’m on very big journey right now. Buh, me need a place to stay.”
“Hm?” her brows raised, “Why, your family is going to be looking for you, won’t they?”
Whispering, “Best not to let Sadrin busy, she’s such a worrywart.”
Melting into her cleavage, “Nooo, please let me stay, Minty Mama. Pleaseee.”
“Hmm.”
“Pleaseeee.”
“Alright, alright. You can stay.”
“Yay!”
She chuckles, “You can sleep in Minty’s room or sleep with me, however you’d like.”
“Me want sleep with Minty’s Mama.”
“Aww, of course you are.”
Blowing raspberries on me as she gives some pecks to my cheek.
“Oh, right, breakfast. You sure you don’t want it? How about milk?” pulling her clothes and bra aside, “Here, you still love them, yes?”
“…” me went super happy, “Yesh!”
Big nip nip, me sucky sucky, milk squeeeeeze. Gulp Gulp!
“Oohh, so eager.”
She chuckles, brushing my hair slightly with a somewhat pained expression in her eyes, but she forces herself to smile.
“Back when you used to come here all the time, Minty has always look so bright.”
“?”
She carried me to a dark room, when the place is illuminated, there I can see a decent setup of gaming capsule. Dropping from her warm hug, I went to see it.
“There’s this sensational virtual game nowadays where people can earn money from it. And well, it’s what she’s been doing for the past few years.”
“It’s very pretty.”
“It is. She takes care of it each and every day from the first day we bought it for her.”
“You bought it? But you said she’s been doing it for a few years now.”
Still in disbelief herself, she smiles.
“These days, she never asks for anything, Siola. It was always enough for her to be happy. we don’t need her money to live. Good sakes, we even bought our own capsules to play with her.”
“Although, I love to see my baby works hard…”
“I don’t know what it is, but we’ve never seen her smile for a while now.”
“…”
“Siola, can you help Minty?”
The girl was never my friend. If she was, she would’ve extended her hand at every opportunity, every chance I gave to the world, but no.
‘I don’t have a choice right now, but her mother is a different case.’
“Of course, Minty Mama.”
“Of course.”
Think it’s around ten when the time that Minty got back home. Those unnatural blue eyes and hair implant in ponytail too, they’re definitely the same person I first met, but it’s a good change.
Shudder like her hair just went up after seeing me in the kitchen with a smile.
“Jeezus, S-Siola?! Wh-What are you doing here?!”
“Mom!”
“Don’t worry, Minty Mama is out. Quite a hardworking mom she is, yeah?”
“Stop. You, you shouldn’t be here.”
“Oh, I’ll be staying here actually. Got your mom permission for it.”
“What? No, no?!”
Walking straight to her room.
“In for Ekolia?”
Glancing at me with a piercing dagger, “What do you know? You rich people always looks down on us, on me! You never cared for something like a silly game!”
“Heh, that silly game is the most popular one on earth, of course even I know about it. Hell, I just started out myself.”
“Really. You?”
Shrugging with a smile.
She scoffed, “Heh.”
With my brows raised, I waited for a proper respond with my charming eyes. She took a moment to think about it.
“I heard Ekolia got a new patch. You know about that?”
“Saw it on TV.”
“Right.”
Behind that stern expression, I can already feel a smile. God, she’s so easy to please. Though it makes me wonder if she truly hasn’t changed at all. All flaring with makeup and styles, is it just who she is now? Or is it just a façade she put on.
“Listen, what happened in college and—.”
“Don’t worry about that for now. It’s you we’re talking about here. Wanna team up?”
Her eyes glistened.
“I dunno.”
“Oh, come on. For old time sakes. I got a level 20 character, but you’ll carry me, right?”
Her mouth puckers, “Heh, so you know what being carried means? I guess I could show you the rope a little. Get you going until level 50 or so and I know a couple of good spots for farming and all that.”
“Sounds neat.”
“Okay then, um, mom— I mean, my mother got a console in her room, so—.”
“Oh yeah, I saw it. Then, see you there? Heard we’ll be teleported to a new place.”
Nodding enthusiastically albeit a bit nervous, “Mhm.”
Awkwardly, she closes the door on me. And I think it’s about time for me to return to the game too, the new patch sounds concerning.
The console that Minty Mama has is more recent than Minty’s, it should work wonders.
As I enter, with the lid pumping air, chilling what’s inside the capsule that is me. I’m being pulled at Mach speed, loading into the game, to Ekolia.
“…sa.”
Familiar voice, it’s heavy, cracking sound of a skeleton.
“Luosa!”
A woman this time, no, that’s my own voice.
“Wake up, you fool!”
My eyes widened to see that I’m in the grand archive with Ludwig, Ludtleth, and Madam Goolag who is replicating me. They’re looking at me intensely as if something is happening with me. And indeed, it is, my hands are glowing brightly. Yet, there’s no notification of what exactly is happening to me right now, but I realized what’s about to happen.
“My lord, what do we do?!”
“This is the work of the Divine System. Luosa, tell us what happened?”
My hands started disappearing, ‘Fuck.’
But then my mind racing, searching every corner of my memory for information. Trying to tell the most important thing before I left, but there’s no time.
“Ludwig! I’ll be back! I’ll be—.”
My vision suddenly brightened as I’m covered in the warmth of a golden light.
