Chapter 46 – Season 2 – Spawn Point

Chapter 46 – Season 2 – Spawn Point

“Yo, what the fuck is this place?!”

“Sonya! Sonya, I’m heeereeee!”

One of my eyes twitching as I covered it, waiting for them to adjust. I can see a whole pack of people just swarming the place. Outdoor, grasslands, so open and wide.

I managed to get out to a less dense area.

*Pant *Pant

When I opened a menu and glance at the balance’s patch highlight, I immediately went to see my profile status.

“Fuck!”

“What the hell is this?!”

‘My immortality, my telekinesis, my ignition, combustion! Where are they!’

‘Damn it. Damn it!’

I can’t even use the enchantment on the equipment I’ve got, not that I have a use for it now. Still, the change is too drastic! What do you mean spells require casting?

“Cringe!”

“Damn it, I can’t even cast the spell I rely on so much cause it’s gone!”

Stolen story; please report.

With my head pinning down, I tried to allocate points to the new change, and although it looks slightly different, it changes things massively.

Secondary Attributes are in line with Levels now, and there’s a massive drop in Primary Attributes, even all regen is affected. This is just too much!

‘What to do, what to do.’

This didn’t happen in my past life, it’s ridiculous!

There are too many changes that I need to consider. Every Attributes now matters but I think I can get away from leaving some for now. In order for me to have less problem in my future, “Vitality gotta go.”

“No wait, potion requires that shit now!”

Face palming, “What do you mean?!”

“Okay, just. Get what I need to get going for now. No weapons. Just spells. I’ll need to chug a lot of blue pots for me to use spells reliably, but…”

“I could fulfil both requirements on Heal Array and Wall of Stone but leaving only two points for others is just not a good idea.”

“Okay, Intelligence only for now, and how much do I need for Vitality?”

* Blue Jelly Potion / Uncommon / Recover up to 40 Mana / Requirement: 10 Vitality

“Phock!”

“Damn, that Mana Regeneration sucks.”

It seems that my blessings and all of that has been removed as well. Which means, I will be progressing at normal pace. The new normal pace.

“Siola?”

Brows raised, I turned to look and found a gorgeous elf girl with big bust and butts. She carries bow and arrows and seems to be very well equipped with light armor.

“You actually went default, huh.”

My jaw dropped, “Minty?”

“Ahh, I go by Silvita, here in Ekolia, at least.”

“Right, but my goodness, you look so different. Why elf though?”

“Hm? I thought they look pretty.”

Crossing my arms, “There’s other races that are prettier. Like, humans.”

“Hm, you got something against elves?”

“No?”

“If you say so.”

Looking at me up and down.

“I don’t recognize that outfit, are you a wizard or something?”

“Mage actually.”

“Really? I’m a Rogue, so that means, our party is going to be greatly imbalance!”

“You didn’t have a party yet?”

A smile, shaking her head.

“A solo player, huh. Oh well, don’t worry. You still got me. Though it’s more like I got you instead because I’m a mage. Considering the changes to the game, I’m gonna have a real hard time.”

“They did change a lot, huh.”

“Guess they decided to teleport us here to the middle of nowhere so that we can test our stuff before heading out. Still, it’s quite packed in here.”

“Yeah.”

“Make way! Make way, you retards!”

“Out of the way!”

Several men in a herd, pushing others away as an squinty-eyed man leading them.

“Heavenly God Sword?”

Glancing at Minty being awestruck by them. I still remember that name from that peddler I met a while back when I was in the dessert. One of the top five Guilds in Ekolia, ranked 4th.

“They’re a guild, right? Did you join them?”

“I wanted to, but…”

Gallantly heading towards the west portal.

“They don’t take just anyone.”

She sighs, “Anyway, you said you reaches Level 20? What can you do though?”

“Well, this.”

“Wall of Stone.”

It only goes up to a meter in 6:2 bricks, very different than what it was before.

“That’s it?”

“Well, before this I could use combustion, then that thing evolves, but now I lost it because of the patch. This stone used to be powerful too. So, yeah. This is all I’ve got.”

“Oof, that’s rough.”

“Mhm, and the regeneration is mad slow now so magic is pretty… useless at this point.”

“Hmm, what about a class change?”

“I like the sound of that.”

“No wait, err… this is your experience, so I don’t want to tell you, like, what to do and stuff. So instead, maybe we should just start on farming your levels? I’m level 114 actually.”

“Ohhh, that’s amazing.”

“Yeah, I mean, not really especially for how many years I’ve been playing.”

“Eh? Is leveling that hard?”

“Well, yes but…”

“There other reason for you not to level up?”

“…”

“You might not know this, Siola, but Ekolia is like… work. It’s a game, but you can also earn money from it. You know, and um… I’ve been living with my parents and I’m about to be 22. I don’t even have anything to show for myself. I couldn’t even pay the bills for playing too…”

Forcing a smile, she is.

“Well, guess we have a goal then! How about you help me level up fast and in return, we’ll work on that financial situation of yours. We’ll open up this new vendor thing and earn money that way, how’s that sound?”

“I… I don’t know. I’ve mostly been selling mats to Trade Guilds. It’s hard to sell items when you open up a shop on your own, you know.”

“Ahahah, so you tried it?”

Nodding, “Mm.”

“I see. Well don’t worry, you got me this time. If it doesn’t work, you can still go back to the Trading Guild or whatever, come on. Which one of these portals should we go through?”

“Umm, it’s gotta be the East one.”

“There’s a farming spot that I used to go to back in the day. There’s not a particularly hard monsters or anything, but they give a lot of exp.”

“Lead the way then, my lady.”

She smiles and awkwardly leading the charge as I follow.
