| Slip Away (Never Meant To Belong)「Bleach TYBW Episode 19 OST」Emotional Orchestral Cover
A figure limped through the gates of one of the many cities that littered the bay.
No matter where one looked there was a tense atmosphere as if everyone could sense that something which was building up in the background was about to erupt. Not that they understood what. None of them were sure of what was about to happen yet it was hard not to notice that something was clearly wrong.
Anywhere one looked would be met with the visage of a displeased dragon prowling around; clearly trying to find something yet evidently failing. Often appearing to be just looking into the dark with no rhyme or reason for their actions. They weren’t used to looking like this so were coming up with absolutely nothing.
Still there was one group who was having a better look; that group ended up looking directly towards the water with their tension revealing that they weren’t there for the view.
“I assume she was a water dragon then…?” ???>
The figure mumbled to herself, her cloak already ragged but managed to do its job in hiding her entire appearance, a massive wooden spear resting by her left side. Being a simple piece that was seemingly made from a stick. Meanwhile the right side of her cloak ended up being noticeably more “empty”.
She didn’t seem to care about the looks she was receiving, however.
Her blue eyes almost appeared to glow from behind her hood - a pair of lightning filled orbs that caused anyone who looked into them to instinctively back away.
Some gigantic humanoid hippo tried to use its superior size to shoulder check her (though it’d be more akin to a body check) yet just a look from her caused him to collapse on the ground. This being a fact that the patrolling dragons obviously doubt. Their suspicions lead to a group of five younglings to confront her with a frown upon their otherwise beautiful visages.
“You there, stop!”
Unfortunately for them… The girl in question was quite sick of accepting other people’s commands so didn’t take well to the group of three girls & two boys moving into her path. She didn’t so much as hesitate in whipping her spear out only to vanish from where she stood.
Only sparks of azure ash remained where she once stood.
“Wha-”
Suddenly darkness overcame the male who was leading the group as he began to stumble only for his head to slide off his neck in front of everyone. Instantly chaos erupted from the crowd as those without much connection to the lizards quickly abandoned any civility. Escaping as quickly as they could.
The dragons obviously reacted in wrath as the other younglings quickly roared out in order to call their elders; however a cold voice soon interrupted their thoughts.
“Face me as I refuse to look at the back of someone I kill.” ???>
Just the weight of those words compelled them to turn towards the figure who was now behind them with draconic blood already covering her weapon. In an instant she appeared again only for her to be standing in front of another. Her spear pierced right through the dragon's heart only for her to erupt into blue flames.
Appearing with her foot resting on one of their shoulders as she skewed right through the eye to kill them before they likely even realised what happened. An eerie thought that appeared to be the reality that these dragons lived in. She didn’t even care as blood spewed out his head to paint her.
Soon the sound of wind being displaced due to powerful wing beasts echoed from overhead the that blood soaked figure simply lept from the corpse. Flipping backwards while slashing the air with her spear. The blood flew from the weapon as she landed in front of the last two younglings.
“That’s right cowards; run now that our elders are he-”
She didn’t even get to finish their line as their head went flying through the air - letting them get a great view of their own body. That tattered figure stood to her side with her left arm outstretched. Perfectly having that bladed-lance rest where her head was - almost making it seem like the blade was just sitting on the blood spewing stump instead of what caused it.
Now the only one left couldn’t help backing away with fear but found themselves with their back soon resting against the wall of a building. Desperately looking around for an exit only for a massive crimson dragon to land on the roof above. Gusts of flame left their nostrils as their crimson eyes gazed around.
A disinterest was clear in their eyes until they saw the various races of dragon… Littering the ground as corpses . Each having naught but a single wound.

Growing angrily at the fact that someone would dare confront their powerful union - all flying dragons coming together in a move to help preserve the “order” of the world. Just so happened that the order they sought to keep was with them at the top. Those eyes soon falling on the figure stood amidst the carnage.
Soon several other dragons, each with their own colourful collection of scales with some even having their own plume of feathers or spikes, landed atop the roofs. All looking down at the “little” humanoid who was painted in the blood of their younglings. Standing there defiantly - as if there was nothing to fear.
“BE CAREFUL; SHE CAN TELEPORT!”
The last remaining youngling shouted out. Those cold blue eyes turning away from the elders to slowly turn towards the youngling who stood there shivering against the body. A cowardly sight that got those adult dragons to snort in disgust.
It was actually the (obvious) fire dragon who arrived first that took the lead, narrowing his eyes as he stared towards that weapon wielding murderer.
“Are you that little black cat?”
His words practically a growl as a surprise overcame the other dragons; though that was quickly replaced by an understanding.
Who else could it be?
A strange cautiousness overcame the dragons since they all had sought out the services of that crime lord before but even they weren’t allowed to see her. Anyone who pushed their luck promptly became bird feed for those “birds of prey” that were completely loyal to her. Making those dragons keep their attention in the air as well.
No one knew much about the cat yet the arrogant adult dragons obviously would never believe her to be as pathetic looking as mentioned in the rumours.
Otherwise it made no sense that she’d get the loyalty of those powerful birds.
Of course, the alliance of dragons were hardly scared, they merely sought to not be caught unaware since tricks were hardly out of the rule book for someone like the little black cat. Even if the mafia weren’t equal in power to the yakuza… They certainly were not a group that could be looked down on.
“I have no grudge with you, radiant lion, so there is no reason to push this further due to some stupid whelps picking a fight they shouldn’t have.”
The words of that fire dragon actually caused surprise & displeasure but he ignored his fellow dragons since he didn’t think a fight with that girl was worth it. Even if she wasn’t the cat. Something about her reactions spoke of someone who had nothing to lose but everything to gain by putting them down.
If his fellows lost he’d just receive some mocking while the alternative…
It was a shocking reaction from a usually fiery fire dragon however the others could hardly force him to stay since he was the largest dragon there. He never agreed with working alongside the primordials & the azure dragon in the first place. An outlier who preferred caution over brute force.
Flying away without so much as looking back at his displeased comrades; clearly not caring whether they actually bothered to follow him or not. Those other dragons, indeed, had no intentions of following his example while the cloaked figure found her blue eyes lingering on him. Tilting her head in confusion.
All her life she had been led to believe that dragons only cared about being the best thing in the mortal realm and putting down anyone that dared question their belief in that.
Seeing one decide to just… Go away…
It messed with everything she thought she knew about them.
“Don’t think we’re as weak willed!
Although such confusion didn’t last for long as the roars of the other dragons were followed by all manner of elemental breaths flying towards her. Letting out a sigh as she pressed her willpower into her weapon once more. Showing once again that, compared to her, their will was truly weak.
A simple swing of her weapon caused the world itself to turn against the dragons as their breaths simply were snuffed out by the weight of the universe. Shock overcame the dragons. She wasn’t generous enough to not take advantage of that so once more vanished from her place.
Yet she reappeared so quickly that it almost seemed like she never moved in the first place.
Seconds later dozens of thuds echoed throughout the city as those massive scaled heads fell to the ground then blood erupted. Truly raining down onto the streets with their powerful draconic bloodlines being naught more than paint. The one responsible just tilted her head up as she looked towards the sky.
Pointing her weapon up as she thought that one day…
Even the sky would be without her grasp.
