Chapter 9: The Night Fox

Chapter 9: The Night Fox

"Even an assassin like you can't dodge such a wide-ranging attack!" the masked wizard shouted.

Raff grinned, "Hehehe... I had no intention of avoiding it at all."

At that moment, a burning flame began to appear in front of Raff, the flames seemed to come out of his palm, the longer the flames grew, forming a giant bird figure exactly the same as the magic used by the masked wizard, it suddenly made the masked wizard very surprised.

"What is this? How can he use the same Phoenix Blast magic as me?" the masked wizard muttered. "No, he didn't use it, I didn't feel any changes in his mana."

"Cough!" Raff coughed, spitting blood from his mouth, his breath coming in short gasps.

Sweat began to drip from his forehead, and his body seemed to shake. Meanwhile, the giant firebird magic that had been created in front of Raff immediately shot at the giant firebird magic used by the masked wizard. The rumbling wind began to blow so hard that the ashes of the grass and trees began to fly into the air.

The sound of a violent explosion could be clearly heard. The ground in the forest shook violently, the trees around Raff's battlefield immediately caught fire, and the ground there was also scattered by the impact of such a powerful explosion, with sparks of flame flying to various parts of the forest. The wind caused by the collision of the same two magics began to blow very strongly like a storm.

All the adventurers and people in the carriage group felt the impact. Some of the items on the carriage began to scatter as they were blown away by the wind waves, all of the residents who were there began to scream in fear, and the horses they were using began to fidget and make noise without stopping. The ground on which they stood began to shake like an earthquake, and some of the horses even swayed and fell to the ground in fear.

Meanwhile, thick dust covered the area where Raff and the masked wizard were fighting, and tree trunks were scattered as they fell in the wind. Meanwhile, a large land basin had been created by the impact of the two Phoenix Blast magic collisions. Smoldering flames still seemed to be burning at several points of the lava pool.

Raff was still standing smiling at the edge of the pool, and the silver-masked wizard was still floating in the air with a confused expression on her face. She hadn't expected Raff to be able to do such a thing.

"Unbelievable, it's not an imitation, it's completely real. Somehow I can even feel my mana from the Phoenix Blast magic he used," the masked wizard muttered.

"Is that your best attack, Wizard?" taunted Raff, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth.

"Looks like you hurt yourself, Assassin. Are you sure you don't want to give up with a wound like that?" said the masked wizard as she extended her wand towards Raff.

At that moment, nine small red-hot magic circles were created in the air, and points of blazing fire appeared in the center of the magic circles, aimed at Raff. But Raff was still standing nonchalantly, holding ten pieces of branches in his hands.

"Wounded? Hehehe ... don't joke, I can't be injured by such a raw magic attack. The blood coming out of my mouth is just part of the art of fighting," Raff replied with a laugh. "It seems that you are the one who is running out of mana, do you intend to attack me with small magic? Don't you know that large-scale attacks have no effect on me?" Raff taunted.

"Don't get cocky yet, Assassin. Do you think I would still be standing here if I thought I was going to lose?" the masked wizard asked.

"Hehehe... You were destined to lose from the beginning. Although you still have skills that you can hide, right now you have no chance of defeating me," Raff said as he clenched his right hand.

At that moment, a bolt of lightning began to envelop Raff's right hand, a bright flash in his hand until it could illuminate their battle area. "This is your last chance, wizard. Tell me your name!" Raff shouted with a grave expression on his face.

"I, the Night Fox of the Silver Mask, will never reveal my name to a weakling like you!" said the masked wizard as she stomped her wand forward.

At that moment, the fire points of the nine magic circles began to form spears of fire, then they simultaneously shot out at Raff at high speed, after one came out, another spear of fire would appear, which never ran out like rain.

"Too bad, if your name will be recorded as the person who was killed directly by Raff Lostfield, the Clown of Neutron!" said Raff as he thrust his right hand forward.

The lightning strikes in Raff's hand began to spread like roots, the branching lightning bolts shooting out to meet the oncoming rain of fire spears. Meanwhile, Raff's left hand threw nine pieces of twig to nine different locations in the distance, and the remaining piece of twig seemed to begin to be enveloped by the lightning element in his left hand.

The sound of explosions was heard in succession as the branching lightning hit the fire spear magic used by the masked wizard, the difference being that each time a branch of lightning was destroyed and exploded, a new branch would grow and hit the other fire spear magic as the branch of lightning got closer to the masked wizard.

"What kind of magic is that? It's smaller but endless, as if it would grow endlessly, even the mana it mobilizes isn't much," the masked wizard thought as she hovered higher to stay away from the lightning branch that was creeping closer to her.

"With so little mana I am not free to attack her, since the beginning she has not dared to approach me, even though our mana difference is far away," Raff muttered, stopping his magic.

"He stopped?" thought the masked wizard as she continued to shower Raff with her fire spear magic.

Raff began to duck, as if he was about to run, "I must close the distance immediately.

Dozens of fire spears shot down from the sky at him, but in an instant Raff's body was gone. The sound of loud explosions was heard in succession as dozens of fire spears hit the ground where Raff was standing, the masked wizard looking even more surprised when Raff was able to dodge her attacks.

"He dodged?" the masked wizard muttered. "No, he vanished. My attack can beat the speed of an A-rank assassin, there's no way he can dodge it."

Suddenly, a bolt of lightning rushed down from below, and the masked wizard immediately aimed her dozen fire spears to block the attack. There was an explosion in the air as the lightning hit the fire spears blocking it.

But it didn't stop there, now there were nine lightning bolts coming from nine different places in the forest, suddenly the masked wizard was even more shocked because now it seemed like there were nine people attacking her from nine different places at the same time.

This time, the masked wizard aimed her fire spear magic at the nine lightning bolts one by one, and a powerful explosion sound was heard along with the wind blowing from the nine points of impact. Unbeknownst to her, a tree branch that Raff was still holding now floated near the masked wizard.

"Tree branch?" the masked wizard muttered.

Raff suddenly grabbed the branch near the masked wizard, "You're too focused on the mana attack, you can't even feel the movement of this branch I threw at you," he said with a grin.

"You? What the hell is going on?" the masked wizard wondered.

A punch landed right on the masked wizard's stomach, and suddenly the masked wizard screamed in pain. Her body shot downward as it was bounced by the powerful punch from Raff's right hand, a loud crash was heard as the masked wizard's body hit the ground. The silver mask she was wearing was also knocked off by the impact, blood gushing from her nose and mouth.

Raff landed right next to the masked wizard, who lay faint, her mouth seeming to move as if she were about to say something. Raff clenched his right fist, a bolt of lightning seemed to envelop his hand, which he was about to use to strike the masked wizard on the head.

"I can finally see your face," Raff said with a grin.

"Stop Raff! Don't kill her!" Hayato's voice suddenly came from the distance, shouting loudly.
