Chapter 3: Fighting the Rhymus City Adventurers' Alliance

Raff stayed where he was as the attacks came from all sides. Dozens of fire arrows rained down on Raff, suddenly Raff's right hand was surrounded by lightning. Raff swung his right hand at dozens of fire arrows, dozens of lightning bolts struck from Raff's right fist.

Dozens of fire arrows began to disintegrate, exploding in the air as they were struck by lightning. Seven fireballs shot out from behind Raff. At the same time, fifteen spears of various elements shot out from Raff's left. Without turning his head in the slightest, Raff struck back his left hand, which was already covered in elemental lightning.

Dozens of lightning bolts shot back, hitting the incoming attacks until they exploded in the air. The second wave of attacks came, this time hundreds of poisoned arrows from three different directions. Raff casually swayed his body to avoid all the incoming attacks. Raff only used his hands when an arrow was about to hit his body.

The seven soldiers who saw the scene did not blink. They were shocked to see someone who could dodge so many attacks without the slightest scratch. The soldier who used the knife even seemed to be trembling with fear.

"Impossible, his movements aren't like a D-rank adventurer," said the soldier carrying the shield.

"A-rank assassin. That's the only reasonable explanation," muttered the soldier with the knife.

Dozens of people began to land on the battlefield at the same time. Some had their feet on the roof of the fort, some on tree branches, some on the ground, and some were riding wolf-like monsters.

They all wore different armor and carried different weapons. There were also people who kept their distance and watched from a distance. There were also those who hid in the bushes while drawing their weapons. They were none other than the adventurers of Rhymus City, who had come after seeing the signal from the soldiers blocking Raff.

"I'm not good at counting, but there are a lot of them," Raff muttered when all the attacks on him were over.

"Is he really the serial killer?" one adventurer asked.

"Isn't he just a kid?" said another adventurer with a sharp look at Raff.

"Kid or not, the reward for catching him is huge. We just have to catch him," said the sword-bearing adventurer, drawing his sword.

"I just wanted to ask you, why is it like this?" muttered Raff, scratching his head.

"Be careful. His movements are very fast! He could be an A-rank assassin!" shouted the soldier who had carried the knife.

"A-rank assassin?" said several adventurers with shocked expressions on their faces.

"Don't joke, it's impossible for a snot-nosed kid of his age to be A-rank!" argued one adventurer, pointing at Raff.

"A-rank? What is that? Is that an insult word here?" said Raff with a confused look on his face. "No, it's definitely an insult when they call me a snot-nosed boy," Raff grumbled, turning his head to the left to see who was insulting him.

"Hey you! Who did you just call a snot-nosed kid?" shouted Raff, pointing at the adventurer who had insulted him.

"We'd better prove it!" said another adventurer who was impatient to beat Raff, he quickly darted while swinging his sword at Raff.

Water sparks seemed to be created around the sword, but it didn't last long because the water sparks were immediately destroyed when the adventurer approached Raff. The adventurer was surprised, but his sword had already shot at Raff's neck from the right side.

Raff gripped the tip of the sword pointed at him without turning his head, using only his index finger and thumb. Raff's attention was still focused on the adventurer who had insulted him earlier.

"Who are you calling a snot-nosed boy, huh? I am Raff Lostfield, a member of the Neutron Party who defeated Demon King Xavier!" Raff said proudly.

"Demon King Xavier?" said the adventurers, looking at each other with confused faces.

"Looks like he's just a snot-nosed kid with delusions of heroism," scoffed one adventurer.

"Didn't you notice that he blocked your ranged attacks?" asked the soldier with the sword.

"We must attack him simultaneously. Don't underestimate him," said the warrior with the staff. Now, directly above his head, five wind spears were created from the condensed air.

"Tch. You've really underestimated me," Raff grumbled as he removed his finger from the sword.

The adventurer who had tried to draw his sword immediately fell backwards, carried away by his own power. The gathered adventurers seemed to turn their eyes towards Raff, they began to be suspicious after hearing the words of the soldiers blocking Raff.

"I will serve you if you want to fight with me! But don't blame me if you get hurt!" Raff said as he clenched his hands.

At that moment, the lightning in Raff's hand formed a lightning knife. It surprised the adventurers present. Making a magic element resemble a weapon requires high concentration and mana control, which is difficult even for A-rank adventurers.

The warrior carrying the magic staff immediately stamped his staff at Raff. "Wind spear!"

At that moment, five wind spears shot towards Raff. Raff easily changed the direction of the five wind spears with the lightning knife in his hand, and the five wind spears shot at the adventurers present.

The five adventurers with the Guardian class immediately stepped forward and used their protective magic to block the five wind spears. A loud explosion was heard as the five wind spears hit the guardian's protective magic.

The adventurer who was knocked down this time immediately jumped up with the other adventurers and swung his sword again at Raff from the left side. In front of Raff, a Lancer class adventurer thrust his spear, and on Raff's right, another Swordmaster class adventurer slashed his sword.

Meanwhile, behind Raff was a wizard-class adventurer attacking from afar with seven fire arrows. The lancer and swordmaster who attacked Raff looked surprised when the magic surrounding their weapons suddenly vanished as they approached Raff.

"Don't expect to hurt me with such brute attacks!" Raff said as he parried two swords coming from the side with the lightning knife in his hand.

Meanwhile, Raff successfully dodged the seven fire arrows that came from behind by twisting his body, and the spear that came from the front also pierced the side of his right armpit.

Raff grinned and then eliminated the lightning knife in his hand. Raff grabbed the hands of the two swordmasters beside him and smacked their heads until there was a loud crash. Raff also grabbed two swords that had slipped from their hands and threw them backwards at the wizard who had attacked earlier.

A Guardian immediately parried both of Raff's swords. The Lancer in front of Raff tried to jump back, but Raff grabbed his leg and threw him to the ground. Raff then grabbed a pebble from the ground and threw it at ten different locations among the adventurers.

This time, four adventurers rushed at Raff with their respective weapons, and there were also six adventurers who jumped into the air while brandishing their swords and knives. From another direction, an adventurer with an archer class seemed to be shooting his arrows at Raff.

But Raff just smiled and grabbed the lancer's spear that was lying on the ground. Raff parried four attacks coming from below, the weapons of the four adventurers even scattered because his hand was hit by the spear in Raff's hand.

Raff quickly kicked the four floating weapons into the air. The four adventurers who were already floating in the air could no longer dodge and were hit by the four weapons that Raff kicked.

A loud clanking sound was heard as the four weapons hit the armor of the four adventurers. Raff then played with the spear in his hand to block the attacks of the six adventurers attacking from above. Sparks flew from the friction between Raff's spear and the weapons of the six adventurers.

"What happened? My magic is gone," said the adventurer with the sword.

"The wind element that coats my knife suddenly disappeared?" thought the assassin-class adventurer.

Raff jumped into the air to dodge the wind arrow magic that the Archer class adventurer cast from afar. "Your attacks are too slow," Raff taunted.

"Ouch!" screamed the six adventurers who were hit by the wind arrow magic.

"Attack him while he's in the air!" shouted the soldier with the wand.

"Fireball!"

"Water spear!"

"Air Blast!"

"Burning rain!"

"Waterfall Rain!"

"Wind Arrow!”

The adventurers of the Wizard and Archer classes simultaneously used their magical powers to shower Raff with attacks. Dozens of fire arrows, water arrows, wind arrows, fireball magic, and water, wind, and fire spear magic simultaneously shot at Raff's floating body.

"This kind of raw magic attack is just a toy in my eyes," Raff said with a grin.

The sound of successive explosions rang out as all the adventurers' attacks collided in the air where Raff was. Thick fog was created in the air from the collision of the various attacks, and flames, water sparks, and wind waves began to scatter in different directions due to the impact of the collision.

"Die!" the Beast Tamer class adventurer shouted happily.

"Hahaha... don't dream! Raw magic like that won't even scratch my body!" said Raff with a laugh.

"Impossible," said several Assassin-class adventurers while turning their attention elsewhere.

It seemed that Raff was already standing among several adventurers, relaxed. The spear in his hand he even put on the ground as if he didn't need it anymore, Raff seemed to grin as he looked at the surprised faces of the adventurers.

"I don't see any movement," said the Archer class adventurer.

"That doesn't make sense, his movements are faster than S-class adventurers," several Assassin-class adventurers muttered with pale faces.

"Why is that? Do I have to show my perfect magic power?" challenged Raff with a grin.

"Don't attack yet!" suddenly came a loud shout from the top of the fort.
