Chapter 12: Face Illusion Skill

Chapter 12: Face Illusion Skill

"Are you fools hah!" a woman suddenly shouted from a distance.

Everyone there suddenly turned their attention. An adult woman holding a magic wand could be seen standing on the highest tower of the market building. But then she jumped and landed near the tall man who was ready to fight again. From a distance, dozens of soldiers were also approaching.

Finally, Raff could clearly see the number of his opponents. Two soldiers, an adult man with different uniforms on his own. Two girls in the same uniform and two young men in the same uniform. They seemed to be very respectful of the newly arrived woman.

The adult man seemed to have clenched his fist again. But now his attention was on the newly arrived adult woman, "What's wrong, Lola?"

"He is not the fugitive we are looking for. He's just a victim of the facial illusion skills he used," Lola replied, looking at Raff who was still pinching his nose.

"You still haven't answered my question, are you hunting a serial killer in this city?" asked Raff from a distance.

"Take a good look at his body. He looks like a child, although their faces are similar. Besides, the mana in his body is very small and very different from the fugitive you are chasing," Lola explained. "As a teacher, you should be more thorough. Bara," Lola added as she tapped the adult man's head with the wand in her hand.

"Tch. They're ignoring me," Raff grumbled.

"We should get back to the Academy. Miyura, Van, Zoa, Fia," Lola said as she turned around.

"But Ms. Lola, he managed to face all of us without getting hurt," the girl holding the spear refused, her name was Miyura.

Lola walked past four teenagers wearing the same uniform, none other than students of the Elexia Academy. The only academy in the capital of Ruttera. "That means you have to train even harder. He's definitely not the fugitive you're looking for. The mana in his body is very low," Lola said.

"If Ms. Lola says so, then there's no denying it. Her ability to see mana in other people's bodies is never wrong," Ugo said as he lowered his bow.

"Damn, that means we've been fooled by him," Zoa grumbled while sheathing his chainsword.

"It's only natural, he's an S-rank fugitive," the girl holding the wand chimed in, her name was Fia.

"Hey, this is how adventurers escape from battle?" Raff yelled in a nasal voice.

Bara immediately stopped his steps when he heard Raff's shout, he immediately turned around with an annoyed look on his face, "What did you say?"

"You attacked me without even knowing what I did wrong. Then you just left, huh?" Raff asked loudly.

"If it wasn't for the market, I would have crushed your body sooner!" said Bara, glaring at Raff.

Lola immediately took out five gold coins and threw them to Raff, "Take them and use them as you wish! Let's pretend this never happened."

"Gold coins?" muttered Raff while catching the gold coins with one hand. "Well, if you're going to apologize," Raff said, looking happy that he could buy food with the money.

"You'd better remove your hand, don't be a clown in front of me," Lola said before continuing her steps to leave the market.

You might be reading a stolen copy. Visit Royal Road for the authentic version.

"Oh yeah, I forgot," Raff said as he removed the fingers of his right hand from his nose.

Miyura glanced at Raff out of the corner of her eye, holding the spear tightly in her hand as she walked, "Who exactly is this boy? How can he make my magic attack disappear?" Miyura thought.

Bara and the others seemed to be following Lola from behind. Meanwhile, the two soldiers who had attacked Raff earlier were now scattered with dozens of newly arrived soldiers. Raff didn't care because he was too hungry. He immediately went looking for a food stall in the marketplace.

Everyone who saw Raff looked surprised and moved away slightly. But Raff didn't care. He looked at the food being served at the stall. "Order, sir," Raff said as he sat down on an empty chair. But the person next to him seemed to avoid him and moved to another chair.

Raff frowned as he looked at the nearby person, "What's wrong?"

"That's... your face, son," the shopkeeper replied, pointing at Raff's face.

"Handsome?" asked Raff with a smile.

"Uh, no. See for yourself," the shopkeeper said as he held a mirror up to Raff.

"What the hell?" said Raff, staring into the mirror. "Eh!" shouted Raff so loudly that it startled people passing by the shop. "What happened to my face?" Raff looked horrified as he saw his face turned ugly, his face also looked very disgusting as it was full of pus.

"Hurry up and eat out there!" the shop owner shouted after giving Raff the food he had ordered.

"Don't take all the beating," Raff said as he was about to be beaten by the shopkeeper.

Raff wanted to hand over his money, but the shopkeeper refused because he was disgusted. Raff happily left the market area to enjoy his meal. He took shelter under a tree while enjoying his meal.

"Ah. It feels like I've been reborn," Raff muttered as he patted his full stomach. "But what happened to my face, huh?" Raff immediately got up and walked over to the window of the house to check his face again.

But he was surprised when it turned out that there were grandmothers in the house changing clothes. Raff suddenly turned his face away. But apparently his actions had been seen, for not far from where he stood, a beautiful girl with bluish-black hair was staring at him.

The girl seemed to be staring at Raff, her hand immediately grabbed a nearby broom and ran toward Raff, "How dare you look at my grandmother!"

"Huh? Don't get me wrong! I'm just looking in the mirror," Raff replied as he gestured for the girl to stop approaching him.

"Don't lie to me! You pervert! You look at grandmothers too!" the girl shouted as she hit Raff with the broom in her hand.

Raff immediately shielded his head from the blow of the broom, "Mercy. I didn't mean it. Look at my face, I just wanted to look in the mirror."

"Don't make excuses!" the girl snapped as she smacked Raff in the stomach with the broom in her hand.

Raff seemed to bend over while holding his stomach where the broom had hit, "Oh dear, I'll get my food out again."

"There's nothing strange about your face! You're obviously just a pervert!" the girl grumbled as she hit Raff in the back with the broom.

"Really?" asked Raff in shock when he heard that there was nothing strange about his face. He quickly dodged the broom blow and quickly jumped back closer to the glass to check his face. But it turned out that the grandmothers who were changing inside had noticed Raff's sight.

"There's a Peeping Tom!" shouted the grandmother in the house.

"You peeping tom! You're peeping again!" shouted the girl as she swung her broom harder.

"Ouch! My future," Raff shrieked as the girl's broom struck his crotch from behind.

Raff suddenly clutched his crotch and grimaced in pain. The girl with the broom tried again to attack Raff with her broom, but this time Raff dodged again by jumping.

"Don't just hit! What do you think you just hit, huh?" Raff grumbled, grimacing.

"Perverts deserve a beating!" the girl replied as if she didn't feel guilty.

"What an angry girl," Raff grumbled as he jumped up to run away.

"I won't let you!" said the girl as she extended her right hand toward Raff. She intended to attack Raff with her magic power, "Fireball!"

"Useless," Raff sneered as he stuck out his tongue, then fled the scene.

"What happened?" muttered the beautiful girl with a shocked look on her face because she couldn't use her magic.

"Are you all right, Elena?" asked the old lady Raff had seen earlier.

"Yeah grandma," Elena replied, turning her face in the direction Raff had fled.

"Fireball," Elena said and tried to use her magic again. This time a fireball appeared above her right hand. She was even more confused because she hadn't been able to use her magic before.

Raff himself managed to escape far enough. He could sigh when he saw that the girl was not following him. "Strange girl. How could I be interested in grannies," Raff muttered as he kicked pebbles on the road.
