> The victory of good must repeat. Lest the victory of evil be everlasting.
----------------------------------------
The battle raged on, with its contenders still pumped of full intent at a victorious conclusion.
The cheers had no end as of now, signs of enjoyment of its progress. The enthusiasm of many was self-restricted however, especially due to the involvement of a certain being.
Probacon and company watched on, silently and hopeful. Kuroko was the one to break the long-term silence past. "You guys think Adam loses or…?”
In a swift action, Purogu struck his temple using the hilt of her sword. “Ow!” "You shouldn’t speak like that, Kuroko.” She reprimanded him. "We believe in his path to victory." "The lady's right,” added Wok.
"Though I don’t know who he is, it’d be darn stupid for him to flunk. It'd be bull. Bull, I tell y’all!" He carried on, in a freer “western” accent, and the surprise and bemusement of his nearest neighbors was not withheld.
But he would eventually “return” to his normal self. And noticing those stares, he was rather perplexed. "What?"
David placed a weary input of his own. "Regardless…we do not just believe. We hope, we aspire, and we know. That Adam will come out of the contest glorious."
"That is what I think. And what I know."
His words would garner nods of agreement.
But Probacon observed the joust warily, as his heart felt a turmoil about current events.
Adam rushed at his opponent in the act of enveloping his blade in electric essence, and targeting his other with precise, unshifted focus.
With a chuckle, Nite anticipated for the coming assault.
Adam swung his sword with vigor, extending it as well for the distance was not completely covered, only for Nite to grasp the blade with a great effortlessness.
But Adam proceeded to grunt, one of confirmation and determination. And in doing so began to emit from his figure a great amount of energy, primarily in the form of heat.
Nite glared at this tactic, unmoved and unimpressed.
But that heat would only grow greater, and the energy itself rose much in its vibrance, much to Nite's shock.
Uugh…What…is this?, thought Nite amidst preventing himself from being overwhelmed by the heat.
This intensity can't even be procured by even the most powerful of stars…meaning…possibly…
He came to a thrilling yet fearful realization, just smirking at the very thought of it. Hmph. I may not be the greatest of intellects around…but even I can tell this much…
"That level of heat…it's gotta be…” Wok began to divulge, before being interjected by Noot, who himself was teeming with intrigue and focus. "Thermal energy stemming from Cosmic Background Radiation…or more simply…"
"The remnants of heat produced by a Big Bang; a genesis event."
Nite continued to hold onto the blade of the sword, doing his absolute best to withstand the astronomic heat.
This man has lost it! Exuding the heat equivalent of a universe-starter? That's just mad! He mentated to himself, keeping eyes on his adversary, who returned with a cold glare.
Nevertheless, I will use this new knowledge to my advantage.
And much to the surprise of many did the Criofiend begin to slowly withstand and overcome the heat.
And to those same watchers, it was as though Adam may have played into a critical situation.
But, to the shock of many as well, Adam increased the temperature of the vigor he exuded, up to degrees of near-infinite measures.
On Nite’s face was nothing but bewilderment at this development. W-what?
Amazing!, thought the dynamic duo of the Djin and the prince with eyes peered onto the ongoing contest.
Adam seemingly commenced to concentrate the energy, slowly but surely escalating the heat, raising it to levels uncountable and improbable.
The crowds were amazed by this turn of events, shocked at Adam's ingenuity and prowess.
《The thermal flow burns through all…》
But many were just as impressed by Nite's persistence and resilience, as even with this great amount of heat emitting from the frame of his opposition, he did not relent, and though not completely without strain, achieved a strong and sturdy stance against the offensive act.
"He is longevous. I'll give him that,” said David to his allies.
"Yeah. And…" Probacon began to speak, drawing the attention of some. "Feels like he constantly gets used to Adam's attacks. (Weird…)"
Suddenly, David and Wok were struck with a strong wave of realization, widening their eyes.
Of course! That's it!, thought the Ghouliung, his left hand covering his opened mouth and his left index on his nose.
The first intrinsic ability of my people…for one like him to have it in his arsenal…, cogitated the Nafiman prince, now looking on with greater interest than before.
…and a more potent variant to boot.

Nite suddenly began to shift in his position, moving against the intense heat.
This stunned Adam. He can still move!?
Nevertheless…
From Adam then sprouted a mastodonic humanoid avatar of cosmic energies, combined with spiritual essences, elemental material, and magic.
This he used to unleash a flurry of fists at Nite, with attacks affecting the space-time, reality, matter, and energies of the platform’s current state.
But Nite pushed back against the effects, whether or not he was the intended target.
Then, Nite began inching closer and closer at Adam, whose frustration with his enemy’s survivability only grew clearer and greater with every passing instant.
Gritting his teeth, he mulled over this major factor. This is getting ridiculous!!
But that moment abruptly ended, when Nite had finally managed to reenter a good range of his opponent, delivering a mighty headbutt to him in the process.
Adam bled from his nose, beginning to fall from the attack.
But with great willpower, he managed to stand, firmly grasping his weapon's hilt.
"Ah, a tough cookie, I see.” Nite said mockingly, but nothing would be answered in any shape or form.
This enraged Nite, and it drove him to the most extreme of possible actions.
He would firmly grab the blade, hoping to quickly bypass its powers and strip its holder of its use.
His vibe then flared up astronomically.
"...What's he doing?,” asked Wok to his fellow allies.
Adam looked at his opponent, at first with nonchalance as he acted in deciphering the current intent of his motions.
But upon reaching his conclusion, his eyes widened in shock and confusion. "You…you wouldn't…"
"There are a multitude of things I'd do to attain victory, even this.” Nite responded calmly with a bold smirk, leaving Adam even more shocked.
"Is he–?!" Probacon yelled in a hard-hitting realization.
"TOTAL END!!!"
Upon Nite’s cry, a great expanse of energy burst out from him, creating an explosion that engulfed both him and his opponent
And possibly, for the first time, seemingly destroying the entirety of the platform.
All watchers looked on, dumbfounded and bewildered, especially the case for the many that never had expected such a conclusion to such a battle.
However, still there were skeptics, placing emphasis on Nite's survivability.
Eventually, the air cleared, and questions were just about to be answered.
Both beings were still alive and standing, though in perilous states, and the Field still had a floating platform for them both to stand upon.
Nite was essentially a half-skeleton, with many places on his figure missing skin and tissue, and Adam seemed to be a hair's breadth from death's door, stuttering with grunts.
All watched on with great interest, engulfed by anticipation.
Suddenly, Adam fell to the floor, still with the breath of life within him, but unable to continue any further.
Nite laughed, assured completely of his prevailing.
"BEINGS OF THE OMNIVERSE!!! THE WINNER OF THIS BATTLE IS…NITE!!!,” announced Dgiag, which drew the ire of the majority, garnering jeering from their lot.
《Victor: Nite.》
But Nite was little bothered by it, basking only in the glory of this achievement.
"Well, that's disheartening.” Noot said unenthusiastically in a forward slouch. "Yup! It sucks big time!” Wok added, frowning as he folded his hands.
David just stared on, deep in thought.
"Hmm. A somewhat intelligent win, that I'll say.” Fighter stated in commendation.
But for this, he received mixed reception. “...What?”
Dgiag and the Jmlehvu had teleported into the Field, as Dgiag told Nite something.
Something which disgruntled the Criofiend.
Eventually, he digressed.
And the first-aid treatment of both combatants would be completed, and out of the Field would they be taken for the proceeding of the next battle.
The wheels were brought to a spin, and were unnaturally quick to select the next contestants in this instance.
"Me!?" Both Probacon and Purogu exclaimed, immediately being transposed onto the platform thereafter.
As Dgiag announced their arrival, the others watched on.
"Those two? This oughta be interesting.” Kuroko stated. "Who do you think emerges victorious here?” David asked confidently.
His question gained a hearty and friendly laugh from the Spirit Shinigami.
"Probacon is definitely strong, a capable combatant, and he's gained new abilities to boot…" He replied with his fingers beneath his chin. "I see.”
"However…"
"Purogu ain't no damsel in distress."
Both Purogu and Probacon performed their greetings of respect, as Dgiag teleported out of the Field.
"BEGIN!!!"
In an instant, both prepared their swords and charged with each other at great speeds, clashing weapons in eventuality.
《Now, with two allies in a clash…》
They exchanged glances, as well as bright smiles and pleasantries.
《Between the ever-rapid, ever-growing, all-out phantasm…》
《And this reaper, a pre-proclaimed maiden of flora and fauna…》
Then the contest began, proceeding first with a battle of steel.
Showcasing skill of immaculate precision, and celerity of exquisite design. It was a meet of compatible styles, both of speed and accuracy. There were notable differences, in force and in style, but irregardless it was a dance, to the alluring sound of clashing metal.
Soon enough, Probacon covered the length of his weapon's blade with ki.
And with it, he enacted a projected slash that sliced through ranges of mountainous elevations.
Purogu avoided the attack through the use of the travel technique that Kuroko had utilized prior*, quickly sidestepping her opponent's offensive maneuver.
Then Probacon dematerialized his sword, ready to employ what he could above all else: his body and his wits.
"A rather questionable picking, young Djin." Purogu remarked from the distance, placing her sword upward in an angular position.
"Grow…”
“Ikichi no Hashi!" Purogu proclaimed, as with a spin of her wrist and subsequently the blade, it was transformed into its basic release behind a gleaming green mist.
The mist then completely cleared away, displaying the sword's new form, becoming somewhat similar to Venom Strip now, but in a completely “organic” color with a slightly thicker blade with an “incisor” at its tip and a tiny hole near it. A singular ribbon “spiraled” around the weapon and even extended from the hilt, and the guard was akin to an eight-petaled flower.
"Ah, it's that!,” exclaimed Probacon, as his opponent prepared an attack with it.
She raised it forward, and biotic energies began being concentrated near its tip, and dispelled all around in erratic mannerism.
Probacon prepared to combat the coming actions, placing his arm outward with a gleeful smirk on his face…
《Who shall take the round…?》
