Archversal Showdown, #26 - The Otherworldly, And The Shadow Cast By Light

> Even in the face of peace, it lurks at the next corner.

----------------------------------------

The ferocious contest between Draxo and Nikhe, now with even more ferocity than before, continued on with Nikhe's heart set ablaze, burning with will and desire. In his mind, even in defeat, to fall with disregard would be a grave dishonor from him towards the being who had ignited said fire. With the two now beginning to diversify their All-Meridian attacks, and Draxo particularly utilizing the elements, shooting fire, lightning, earth and wind at his opponent, the intensity was noted by the masses en masse.

《The battle followed, a greater fire burning…》

Nikhe on the other hand opted for more varied abilities, vibrating his molecular structure to “phase” to avoid attacks, altering both space and time, although to not much effect on an unfazed Draxo, aided by a set of bangles on his arms.

All this was performed by the dyad as they simultaneously broke through parts of the polydimensioned hypersphere, using nothing but sheer speed to shatter the fabrics of its lower places as they burst through them.

Their assaults were unrelenting, driven by the desire to bring forth the best from their counterparts whilst also going for glory.

The crowds’ cheer grew even greater than beforetime, beholding what they perceived a spectacular show of pure power and ability. Born as a result of inspiring words and ignited hearts, an even greater reason to cheer.

"Spectacular…" David said, watching in spectacle of the feats his eyes looked upon.

"Tell me about it, Davie! Just how high can we go?!" Wok responded.

"I can't believe there's folk who hold such power in all existence…" Probacon stated, watching on in awe. "I mean…obviously. One is a Grandmaster Entity.” Wok replied.

"Not to mention, this extent of geometric measure, to the grand scheme of everything, is regarded as, well, simply fractal to the far greater stuff…knowledge I'm well privy of, at least,” said Noot, as he read from a book, whilst also watching the battle.

Almost everyone turned to him in unison, all perplexed beyond words, either of confusion at the statement or its nature.

"Well, he's not exactly wrong…" David added.

"Notions of varied higher axial ‘membranes’, and the activities of ‘collective supersymmetric strings’ are all very veritable, based strongly on the definition of dimensionality across existence. Notwithstanding the laws above those too…"

"Umm…what?,” questioned a highly perplexed Probacon.

David simply bowed his head, in measures of disillusionment and disappointment. "Something maybe a tad bit outside of your scope, Probacon." Noot responded.

"Yup! Just stick to the stuff you know for now,” added Wok gleefully, which slightly irritated Noot, and made Probacon feel a little sorry for himself.

"Never mind the brainiacs. That stuff doesn't matter now," interjected Kai, attempting to cheer the Djin up.

"Let us just focus on the contest at hand, yeah?"

Music to the ears of Probacon, as he smiled brightly upon hearing.

"Oh, yeah! Let's see where this comes to a head! I got a tingle telling me we ain't seen nothing yet!,” exclaimed Probacon, as he turned back to the projection, clapping his hands loudly, and hung his left leg on a platform. "Uhh, a bit too pumped, don't you think?,” said Kai, regretting his choice.

"No, no. He's right in a sense,” stated Noot, smiling softly as he tilted his head slightly downwards, while Probacon faced him with a snicker.

"And besides…that span you see there…is considered but the maximum extent…”

“Of any given singular manifold.” And with those words, Noot would leave a number of his fellow competitors at a loss for words yet again, but of shock rather than confusion this time.

But in the Field, that very contest dragged on still, as none had yet to truly gain the upper hand. Both still mostly made use of their All-Meridian, and after a while they had halted traversal through the higher infinitudes, but with their attacks nonetheless still causing great damage to them as before.

Both had now started to use entities called Nimbuses, beings of an intangible, invisible appearance, but of an audacious presence.

《Nimbuses. Non-physical embodiments of the fighting will of its possessor. A single individual usually has one Nimbus…》

Nikhe's was one with an ethereal cosmic coloration, wearing a blue loincloth, as well as gloves, and with flowing hair similar to his.

《Nikhe's Nimbus: Starman Evolved: Divinity.》

Draxo's was one with yellow and cream coloration, thematically designed like a human clock, with cogs and gears, and arrows on its fingertips, and a small crown-like outline on its forehead.

《Draxo's Nimbus: ROYALS EVOLVED: DIVINITY.》

Both sent these spirits at each other, and both Nimbuses unleashed a shared barrage of clashing fists.

Both individuals stood still while their Nimbuses punched away, and punched away hard enough to overwrite and distort reality, making up down, left right, and forward backward. A clash that also propagated features all across the sphere, ranging from energy flows, atoms, and even stars.

《The wills of these two giants clash.》 《Greatly enough to bend the worlds around them.》

Eventually, the clash would be halted, where both Nimbuses would return to their respective users.

And with this, the obvious became even more undeniable. The marching of the duel to its end, only truly dependent on one single factor.

Everyone looked on, anxious, cautious, impatient, desiring to see the happenings the final stretch of the match would produce.

Suddenly, the brace released a great burst of aura, aura of energy, of its purest as the Meridian, which distorted much of the geometric platform.

They both dashed at each other, and began employing techniques physical and energical, causing the masses to cheer yet again.

Nikhe looked to make use of some sharp jabs and quick rolls to gain an early advantage.

The strat had no longevity though, as Draxo found space and immediately struck back with a well-placed side kick to Nikhe's gut, forcing him backways, and causing a huge rippling shockwave that eviscerated more portions of the dimensional space.

Nikhe quickly recovered, throwing more punches that were swiftly avoided, while also avoiding some back fists, straight punches, and roundhouses as the two traveled along.

Eventually, Draxo would connect a strike to Nikhe's temple, which left the Dartonitan stunned for a moment.

"Now…,” said Draxo as he ascended with widened arms, floating within the dimensional space.

"LET US FINISH THIS!!!" He yelled. Chris

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.

Suddenly, a ginormous symbol appeared behind him. It was a giant thick circle with an arc atop it and two swastikas intersected on either side, in its middle a strange curvy “w” shaped crown-like object above a stylized infinity sign with a small loop at its intersection, a Latin cross with a flat base that had its upper end inside the loop, a six-pointed star made which was intersected with the cross, two rings passing through the upper arcs on each side, four crosses floating just outside its corners, and an ethereal golden color with a white hazy glow.

"I-Is that–??!!" Dgiag shouted out in recognizant terror.

So, thou hast chosen to call upon it, Draxo? Upon the Prime Maker's Mark…the Symbol o’ the Grandmaster Deity?, meditated Tōmii.

Those who recognized it entered a collective frantic state of panic and questioning, while those who knew nothing of it were left in a collective confusion.

"The Mark of the Prime Maker is not such to be brought forth in a situation like this! Tōmii, stop him now!!” Dgiag shouted.

Tōmii simply kept quiet, observing what unfolded.

Dgiag looked on helplessly, unable to act in any way even in this situation.

Then, the circle and its features began dissipating, and being absorbed into Draxo.

It was a slow but sure process. And the eventual complete osmosis would complete in time.

The many watched to see what happened next, with time itself seemingly taking a momentary breath.

Then, Draxo suddenly opened his eyes, revealing a novel glow of pure white of energy.

And forth from his whole being burst forth a quick and emphatic blast of energy in Nikhe's positional line.

Nikhe responded by creating a forcefield huge enough to block, ensuing a great power struggle.

But eventually, the sheer indefatigability of Draxo's blast would overpower Nikhe, destroying the forcefield and nearly eviscerating his opponent.

All the while also decimating a great extent of what the platform was at that time, and causing what remained to tremble in the wake.

The platform reverted to its normal state as a floating landmass.

Draxo would float down towards a downed and parlously wounded Nikhe, who coughed and groaned in pain.

"Cosmic Chad…,” said Draxo as he looked at his opponent.

Nikhe looked back, exhaling heavily as he did so.

"I…concede…” He said with a chuckling reply, finalizing the winner of the battle.

"BEINGS OF THE OMNIVERSE!! THE VICTOR OF THIS BATTLE IS…DRAXO!!!" Dgiag shouted, in a mixture of his vigor, and a sense of relief.

The masses cheered, for it was another great match, and had something many never thought possible.

"So, Lord Draxo to the next round?" David jested among his peers. "A complete shocker there,” added Noot with a shake of the head. "I definitely don't wanna face him,” chuckled Probacon with a nervous exterior.

Meanwhile, Dgiag and Tōmii discussed. "Hahaha. You Grandmaster Entities surely know how to tug at the strings of the lower folk.” Dgiag said to Tōmii while laughing.

"Hmm, haply that may be. Belike the progress hereafter, shall prove thine words true." Tōmii sarcastically replied.

And both beings would share a hearty laugh together, a gesture of fellowship.

Cutting to the “natural” of The Dome Chasmic, within its Bounded Coliseum's halls, along walked Probacon, David and Drizzled, discussing prior matches, amidst another minor break, which followed after some more battles were undergone.

《Probacon, David and Drizzled traverse the Coliseum in hectic debate.》

"I'm telling ya. No way he should've won!,” said Drizzled with ardent gestures. "Still, it was a genuinely practical tactic he utilized.” David replied with a calmer demeanor than the latter.

“That was a literal asspull. Can't tell me otherwise.” “Are you undermining your own intellect?” “Argh! Damn you!”

“Hey, Probacon! Tell him, that stuff was an asspull, wasn't it?” Drizzled yelled, turning to Probacon, and gaining the attention of the latter who had just been casually following along. "Hm? Not really–.”

Suddenly, he sensed and was triggered by something. Something sinister.

“Hey! Don't chicken out ‘cause you're afraid to–.” Drizzled began yelling at the Djin. “Wait…,” interjected David, placing his arm before Drizzled.

What…is this? I'd sensed this before but…not at this level! Probacon thought, shaking as the feeling of multiple negative airs, all at an extremely great volume and concentrated somewhere, fell upon him.

He hurriedly dashed far ahead of David and Drizzled in urgency, in the direction he seemed to sense it from, in the opposite direction he had taken with the others.

"Pro…? What's up?,” asked Drizzled, chasing after the Djin with an equally perplexed David.

All three made a series of multiple turns, jumps and swivels, running towards whatever Probacon sensed.

Probacon then suddenly stopped just before an empty space near a wall.

David and Drizzled stopped as well, finally catching up to the former.

"Something…is definitely not right here,” stated the Djin, with a more serious tone than usual and with an intensive look at that wall.

David and Drizzled stared at each other with confusion.

David himself would employ Void energy to scout the area, closing his eyes for apical concentration, and confirm the Djin's words.

Suddenly, he opened his eyes in shock, upon his own mind visualizing nothing but pure chaos.

"Probacon is right. There is something afoot in that area." He said, pointing to said space.

Drizzled's concern grew, and he made sure they knew that.

"What though? It's only just a wall there.” He said in questioning of the information he had received.

"I'll attempt to use Void Rein to warp the area.” David said, preparing his body for said action.

With various gesticulations, he tried to use Void energy to warp space in an attempt to discover anything in that area.

It was visibly strenuous and took much from him.

But eventually he succeeded, forcing a dark, seemingly boundless space to suddenly open in front of the three.

《A gap in space opened, dark and with mystery…》

"Um…,” said Drizzled, with even greater concern than before.

David and Probacon walked through the entry of the space, followed immediately by Drizzled.

David suddenly stopped, with his eyes completely widening in great alarm.

"It's too friggin’ dark, dammit! Even for me! I can't see a thing!" Drizzled groaned in frustration. "I can…and you most certainly do not…" David replied ominously, perceiving with sight heightened and adapted to the surroundings courtesy of his genealogy.

"Why? What do you see…?,” inquired a concerned, anxious, and somewhat scared Probacon.

David used a flame of Void energy from his palm to light up the greater surroundings, flames which also hopped out to different locations before the three.

And as Probacon and Drizzled eyes adjusted, their expressions turned to that of pure horror.

All around them, were the bodies and body parts of beings of different species and races, all who had been killed, many of which were decapitated and mutilated, and some with signs of brutal torture.

A sickening sight, of gory displacements, where some beings had deep-slitted necks, and some decapitated heads or limbs, or great and visceral wounds on various parts of their bodies, where the entrails of some were partly or completely exposed, and some of gruesome imagery, unpresentable to the human mind.

Almost all seemed to be spectators of all ages.

But amongst the carnage looked to be the remains of a few contenders, two who had faced elimination prior, and the last who had progressed. The trio beheld the area in shock, horror, and with questions, an indefinite list of questions.

The air was silent, with not a sound uttered amongst the trifecta. And it was like that for a greatly long moment.

"What…the hell…happened here?,” questioned Drizzled, breaking the silence, and raising the curtain on the darkness underneath all the celebration…

《The world now turned upside down, this revelation serving as the catalyst…》
