Archversal Showdown, #11 - The Light From The Clouds

> The gloom flows over, but behind it, shines life.

----------------------------------------

With not a peep of sound, the entirety of the onlookers at this moment kept their eyes fixed.

Couch's cries of sadness went on.

Shwey still lay on the ground, in the same state as prior, with near-inexistent action, but seemingly still breathing with faint gasps.

A somber air passed amidst all involved in this event, forming various perceptions of the unfolding events. In their mind, some had deemed an individual like Couch unable to possess such emotions, and some amongst even made claim to crocodile tears from him, while others directed sympathy, for they lacked knowledge on the gist of his history, or of his present temperament. Others were indifferent, showing no sympathy nor digression. And some simply desired for the uncaring progression of the tournament.

《Minds and conclusions differ all across the board…》

Finally, the mutant let his hands down, and his face showed the visible signs of the tears that had flown out.

He quickly looked forward, taking notice of Shwey's breathing.

Suddenly, Dgiag transposed into the Field, leaving Couch slightly surprised.

"That's about the end of that. You two will be attended to by the Jmlehvu. Other than that–.” He said, before quickly getting interrupted by Couch, whose lowered tone showed not much remorse but a due amout of repentance. "Will I…be punished for this?"

Dgiag looked at him, carrying sorrow towards the young mutant, but he also knew a universal truth: the greater free will of all life. "Well, under normal circumstances, yes. You almost killed a man, and that is something that is condoned against in this..."

Couch sunk his head, as his remorse rose ever so slightly.

"However, that is for normal circumstances. Whatever stopped you…well, I'll just say it had its reasons." Dgiag finished just as he turned and walked away, as the Jmlehvu appeared.

They immediately teleported Couch away with them, preventing a response from the stunned Torrerian.

《The kind words of a transcendent existence, pierces even the coldest of hearts.》

"Haa, what an experience…" The Djikk sighed in exasperation.

But he quickly returned his attention to a gathering craving luminosity after that ending, and to perform his utmost desire of delivering exactly that. "BEINGS OF THE OMNIVERSE!!! I believe many of us had an unsavory taste left after that duel. But fret not. For I feel the next…"

Tōmii commaded the wheels, and yet again they spun. "Will be an uplifting one."

This action would once again take its time in long stride, leaving everyone in anticipation. Both the spectators, and the contenders, who all stuck their heads out as they contemplated, shaking in wait of the eventual scenario.

Then, the wheels slowed, and stopped.

Two contenders were teleported from their area, including the human individual who sat down beside Probacon.

Probacon looked on in surprise, while Drizzled looked with a lower lip stuck out in indifference.

So, he's next, huh? Wonder what I'll see of him. Those eyes of his seemed…special. Wonder how he'll use–, thought Probacon, before being swiftly brought back to reality by Drizzled.

"Helloooo?! Omniverse to Pro?" "Gah!"

"Oh, sorry. I was a bit lost in thought,” responded an embarrassed Probacon, scratching his head. "Dude, the hell you even thinkin' about?,” asked Drizzled.

"It's just…he managed to instantly tell when David started to get more power during your fight, and–.”

Suddenly, Drizzled's eyes widened, quickly holding Probacon on both shoulders. "He what?"

"Yeah...he could see what happened when David took off his amulet with those...I believe"

Drizzled then bowed his head, letting go of Probacon's shoulders, and turning towards the projection with his head facing down in pure silence. Silence so eerie, it had the potential to cause cessation.

"Drizzled?" Probacon asked in a deep concern.

"Of course that's the damn case,” mouthed Drizzled in a more serious tone than usual, looking forward with a half-frown. "It means…this is gonna be one interesting fight.”

The two turned to the projection, amidst Dgiag's loud chant. "WE HAVE OUR CHOSEN!!!"

"In the first corner, born of a great clan, noted for their mystical eyes. A combatant of pure ability. The Ocular Genius, Adashu Chime!!" "This battle…seems interesting…,” said Adashu, with his irides turned darker brown in seeming deactivation of his visual skill.

《Adashu Chime. Gifted Chime Clan Shinobi. Age 24.》

"And in the second. He himself born of a special species. Of the greatest and most knowledgeable. The Big Blue, Bo-Blu!!" "How strange. My anticipation is not as great as usual in this scenario…,” said Bo with a deep and calm tone, being a Stralean, a humanoid race capable of gaining strength from various stellar radiances. He had short black hair, roundish-almond brown-irised eyes, a defined face, and wore high-ranking wear from his culture, a red and gray jumpsuit with a red piece of cloth down the middle on his back and front, with a gold strip ended with two large golden buttons above his chest, a golden headband, and red boots.

《Bo-Blu. Stralean Noble. Age 32.》

"Now, your respects…,” said Dgiag, signaling to both.

And simultaneously, the two shared greetings originiated from each their worlds, much to Dgiag's pleasure.

Dgiag suddenly transposed back to the Coliseum, ready to begin the match.

He breathed in, held it for a while and signaled the match's start.

"BEGIN!!!"

Rather than charge at each other at the very beginning as was the case before, the two maintained their distance, racing steadily in arcing parallels to each other, through different means individually.

Stralean. Able-bodied. Has been exposed to star radiation. This battle surely will have its strains…, thought Adashu, looking at his opponent with a highly focused glare.

A Chime…one must take special note for his eyes then, thought Bo, as he looked at his opponent from the side whilst mid-flight. In that case…

Bo then flew at Adashu at a relatively slow pace, firing red heat-beams of energy from his eyes at the Uchiha.

The rays were swiftly dodged by Adashu, backing away as he prepared for a good strategy.

He then strangely weaved his hands to form different signings with them, doing such with great pace.

~Water Art: Voracious Flux!~ He placed his palms outward, and from them flowed out a fast-moving voluminous measure of water towards Bo, comparable to the contents of a lake.

Bo would see the water coming, and would quickly evaporate it using the same optic blasts. So, he uses their Water Art…

He flew skyward to gain an aerial advantage, and gain a better view of the vast platform, utilizing his greater senses to the fullest.

Adashu stopped in his running and looked up at him, aiming to read Bo's next move.

Bo charged downwards and straight towards the shinobi, gaining more and more velocity as he went on.

The Chime noticed this and began weaving signs yet again.

~Water Art: Torrential Blockade!~ Spurting water from his mouth, he produced a great tidal wave to serve as a wall between the two of them.

But it was of no confidence, as an unfazed Bo simply flew through it with force.

He eventually caught Adashu, striking his abdomen with both fists and taking him with himself as he continued his line of flight.

"You're a sharp one.” He spoke with an intrigued smile. "You noticed the potential gap in physical prowess, so you keep distance.”

“You, however, make too many errors, and now, I'm caught up to you."

"Not quite true,” grunted Adashu. "I just needed you to get closer of your own volition."

Bo looked in confusion.

He was swiftly flung aside by Adashu.

The latter followed up by gathering energy in the midst of a vaguely oval tunnel formed with his hands, with almost all fingers on each hand kept together excluding the pinkies and overlapped thumbs.

~THIRD EYE LIGHT!~ He focused the shape on Bo while releasing the large yellow beam, a blast of a more differential ki that focused more on the spiritual ideas and aura, in that exact oval shape from his hands.

Bo saw the energy coming towards him, but could do no more than brace for impact, placing his overcrossed arms before him.

The beam hit him, sweeping through the area it traveled with a penchant for decimation.

Adashu looked on as all settled, speculating his opponent's current state as his robe flagged about due to the aftermath.

I don't think it's possible that that much could take him out. He thought, preparing his next technique by placing his right hand in front of him, with all fingers folded with the exception of his skyward middle and index ones.

Suddenly, Bo rushed out from the smoky fog towards the shinobi, and with eyes of unreleased heat-beams and a furious but grinning granl, his rising ferocity could not be more clear.

As forethought!, thought Adashu, preparing for the clash.

He blocked off Bo's attack by pushing his arm away, and attempted to catch him with a blow of his own.

The first exchange of true close quarters combat would ensue from there, a shared repeat of aim arm strikes, paired with the evasive and defensive motions, actions brought forth by the search for advantage. And while Adashu's pace was greater, and his precision sleeker, Bo's skill was more refined, and his power mightier.

Suddenly, Bo seemingly got a vantage, punching Adashu in the abdomen with powerful force.

"Well, it seems I got you there…,” said Bo.

Adashu coughed, with miniscule droplets of blood coming forth alongside it.

But with a slow but sudden motion, he looked up at his opponent with vehement indifference. "Not…quite…true."

Bo was left slightly adrift by his opponent's words, or even his motives.

But suddenly, the shinobi activated his Reflection Eye with a sharp widening of his oculus…

《What are these blood red eyes? What is their purpose?》
