CHAPTER 13 – 1,000 GOLD INVESTMENT

After Bunny had completed the quest and gain a hidden class, she looked around to find both her companions glowing. For Gene, he would had mostly took the accompanying hidden class called Animal Druid or something. Bunny didn't mind Gene's lucky gain, because without him, she wasn't sure of getting the hidden classes. The inclusion of Gene allows their classes to mimic the trio in the video.
What Bunny didn't understand was Angel, so she asked: “Hey Angel, why are you glowing too?”
Angel was quiet, reading something invisible, when her glow subside, beside the Lu and Freya symbols on her gown, a new symbol was added. A circle over a design akin to a rabbit with a pot. The same symbol was also etched on the archery bracer she worn around her left wrist.
Looking at her confused companions, she easily explained:
“I just made contact and got accepted by of the Goddess Tokki.”
“Tokki? Who is that? I have never heard of a god that name” Bunny questioned.
“Goddess Tokki is a minor god who governs over animals.” Gene supplied quietly.
“You are so luck...” the friend's chatter was cut short.
*Cough*
Having the trio's attention with his cough, Shiva continued.
“I do not know and will not interfere with how you do things, but I am glad as long as you can revive the rabbit race. It is not easy, rabbits needed to be evolved to tier-4 to obtain self-awareness. Will you really do it?”
Revival of the Sentient Rabbit Race
There were once a sentient rabbit race, Shiva was the first as well as the last of them. The race had died out and rabbits were reverted into simple critters. Shiva will teach you all you need to know about breeding and evolving. You were to evolved the rabbits into sentient beings, and also help them create their own habitat.

‘A’ rank difficulty! Quest at this level of difficulty was extremely rare, and the result usually affects the whole Versailles continent. It wasn't unexpected, since Shiva who had lived for millenniums revealed his identity. But knowing and experiencing it was still different.
Bunny didn't think much and said: “Since there was no time limit, I will give it a try.”
“Will put in all my effort.” Gene raised his fist in self encouragement.
“There's nothing to lose” Angel nonchalantly agreed.
You have accepted the quest.
“I thank you for attempting to help me with my dream. Wait here, I have something that may be of use to you. ”
Shiva went into his room, he returned with 3 items.
He gave Angel a book: “This is the Bible of Tokkin, it contains all information we have regarding the goddess. As well as basic cleric skills of the order.”
Gene got a staff: “This is the Staff of Tokkin, you should know that she is the Goddess of animals and non-sentient being. This is a druid staff which will boost you Animist abilities”
Facing Bunny, Shiva gave her a hairband... no, it was a pair of earmuffs, with rabbit ears attached.
“This is an artifact of our race, it should help you. As no breeder can prospers without a farm or ranch., I also suggest you visit the land administrator to get a plot of land. Owning a house would cost over 10,000 gold, but owning a farm only cost a tenth. I will look after these animals until you have your own place.”
'Rabbit ears, got!' Bunny thought to herself.
“Thanks, we will be doing some discussion about this, I will return to learn more about breeding”
With that, the trio left the house. Outside, they checked their individual gains.

Donning her new earmuffs, the world suddenly became very noisy. Bunny could now hear much better, she could grasps the locations of some insects hiding. She also sense Meow hiding in a bush nearby. Instinctively using her 'Scan' ability, she can detect almost everything within 50m radius.
“HOW IS THE NEW HEADWEAR” Angel boomed
You have been stunned for 3 seconds by a loud noise
“Arrggg... Don't shout,” Bunny grumbled while her ears were ringing
“I DIDN'T SHOUT” Angel boomed again
“UMMM... IT MUST BE NEW EARS” Gene followed up loudly
You have been stunned for 5 seconds by multiple loud noises
“Arrggg... Alright, alright, give me 10 seconds to recover, even Gene's 'ummm...' sounds too loud” Bunny plead.
After recovering, Bunny shifted her earmuffs forward slightly so it didn't cover her ears fully. This caused a drop in the bonuses, but at least she wouldn't be stunned. Testing it by talking with her companions and using 'Scan', Bunny decided on the optimum state where her 'Scan' radius drops to 20m.

“I got acceptance for 3 deities, and favored by Freya, I deserved that much. Also Charism isn't Charisma, it is more like Faith, which doesn't mean as much compared to base stats.” Angel defended.
“Gene!, how in the world did you get such inflated Int and Wis. Are you lying about your level?”
“Umm... I read a lot of books...” Gene mumbled
“Gene got her capsule one month ago, but that is still...” Angel tried helping
“Wait!, Gene started 1 month ago, that's 4 months game time, and he's not even lv30?” Bunny spoke astonished. “Normally, anyone including merchants would reach at least lv50 with that time”
“Umm... I stayed at the library... reading all these while...”
“...” Both Bunny and Angel became speechless, neither wanted to ask how many books he read.
“One last question. Gene, regarding the Life-Link, is it normal to gain 100 more?”
“Umm.. Life-Link is just opening communications with animals, with that I can talk with them. Umm.. with my Life-Link at Beginner Level 6, I can link up to 60 animals, they last about a day.”
“What about the skills which revives the dead?”
“The skill that saved R2 was 'Prevent Death', it requires the animal to agree to temporary familiar contract, so I use Life-Link to ask him. Then... Ummm... that's all...”
Bunny thought to herself:
'I guess I still couldn't be too careless, the animals will die if I am not careful.'

After much discussion, the party split up, promising to meet back at Silva's farm later for another night sewer hunt. Each had their own itinerary for the day. Angel and Gene were both healers, learning the scan ability would greatly benefit them. Gene already got his 'identify' skill by being an alchemist, so Angel needed to get hers.
After separating, Bunny first went to register herself as a breeder, then obtained a license to own a ranch within the city. With instructions and recommendation from Silva, it wasn't difficult, just expensive. Registration cost 1 gold, a small cost compared to a hectare of land, which lowered Bunny money by 1,000 gold. (A hectare of land is 100m by 100m)
Bunny picked a plot near Silva's, for easy transfer of animals. She deliberately chose her site to include an abandon house, which gave access to the sewers. That cost her an additional 100 gold, but it gave double bonus; she could now own a living area, as well as gain the ability to move her troops into their hunting grounds without attracting attention.
When she reached her newly-owned land, Shiva was already waiting, with a pile of wood, near the roped-off area. He was back in his jolly old man appearance.
“As a breeder, you must make your first ranch yourself.”
Initially, Bunny wanted to hire an architect, since Shiva insisted, she decided to do it herself. After learning the basics of lining up the fence, Bunny set off on the task to surround her land. Bunny knew she wasn't up to a monumental tasks, so she divided her land into 8 sections, doing each one individually. She intended to started with the segment containing the house, which was a plot 30m by 40m. What Bunny needed to encircle was a house with a basket-ball-court sized garden.
The house although abandoned, was in rather good conditions. It had a very straight forward layout; From the entrance, was the common room which was linked to 6 private rooms 3 at each side. Directly in front, was the kitchen. Each private room was equipped with a bed, a dresser and a chest. Within the kitchen, there was a locked door, leading to the sewers. It somewhat felt like the house's personal dungeon.
After viewing, Bunny started placing the fences following the instructions of Silva; Digging holes at intervals, erecting poles and hammering wood planks into the poles. After fencing up about 20 meters, Bunny went to Shiva's farm and got the Rabbits and Squirrels to help. Since this would be their new home, the rabbits started digging warrens. The squirrels picked out two trees nearby and helped Bunny root them up, then transfer the trees into her land. Silva was kind enough to help replant seedlings into the holes.
With the animals working, Bunny then went back to fencing.
At mid-day, Bunny took a break, went to the orphanage to cook lunch as well as eat there. When she returned, she fed the animals grass and nuts. By now, the animals had completed their new homes and were sleeping or snoozing. Knowing about the night hunt, rabbits ate sparingly, while squirrels... well they just squirrel all the nuts away.
All this while, Shiva was simply looking at the progress, not giving any help. Bunny mutter to herself
'Did he think he is the training instructor? Just looking and nothing else.'
With that thought, Bunny suddenly realized, there must be some reason why Shiva made her do all the construction alone. With renew vigor, she continued fencing. About four hours before night, she finished the task. Informing Shiva she was done for the day, Bunny logout to prepare for the night raid.

From his analog clock, Alan had marked 4 and 10 as mornings. As he was previously using a Knight, whenever he was in town, he would logout during the game nights because he couldn't gain any Honor; How could he show his honorable side when there was no audience to watch.
RR ran 4 times faster, so the hours were marked to remind him when he should return. He had added 12:30 and 6:30 as dinner time in-game, since he was now doing night raids instead. An extra 30mins which translate to 2 hours game time was added because he needed to help at the orphanage.
Alan exit his capsule at around noon. He went to the fridge, took out a chunk on ham and some cheese, he started slicing them. Grabbing the bread, mustard and ketchup from the various shelves, he made enough sandwiches to include dinner and supper. All this while, Alan was meticulous about cleanliness.
The worst thing that had happened to him was a diarrhea attack while leading a group dungeon crawling. With that experience, Alan understood the term 'More Haste, Less Speed'. After eating and washing up, he made sure all the extra sandwiches were well packed and stored before he returned into RR. The time read, 12:35.

Bunny reappeared at her newly-owned property, from there, she made her way to the orphanage. In addition to increasing her cooking proficiency while paying her debt, this time, she wanted to hire some cheap unskilled labor for her new ranch.
By the time dinner was served, Bunny had got some names; Orphans who are interested in farming or herding. She didn't approach them immediately as she would be around for another 2 days. The worst scenario would be hiring ill mannered brats who tried to mistreat the animals, but end up getting killed. The animals on Bunny's ranch were more then meets the eye.
