It is the day after my 3rd birthday and here I am at the far outskirts of the village on the far side of a hill. Nobody should be able to see or hear me while I practice from here and hopefully the Mobile Suit Golems I summon will be smaller than the canon size, otherwise the village may panic at seeing a metal giant appear from… somewhere. I have no idea where they will appear from. Will they rise out of the ground, just kind of pop into existence or will they come from a hole in space-time?
Well, time to roll the dice.
{Generate Mobile Suit Golem: MS-05B Zaku I}
A magic formation appears on the ground just a few feet away from me. It is constantly shifting and changing while at the same time a 1.75 meter tall MS-05B Zaku I rises from seemingly nowhere until it is standing at attention on the ground. Once fully emerged the magic formation disappears as if it were never there to begin with.
I carefully inspect the MSG from all angles. It is a perfect likeness of Zeon’s first true Mass Production Mobile Suit after the MS-04 Bugu. I am curious as to why I could generate a Zaku I instead of a Bugu as my first summon, but I will just assume my ability realized how superior the Zaku I was compared to the Bugu and blessed me.
Boy do I sound full of myself…
Now time to equip this bad boy. I quickly summon a Heat Hawk Type 3 and a 10.5 mm Machine Gun. The good news is that the equipment summoning works. The bad news is that ammo comes separately. I don’t even get a free 100 round magazine with my new machine gun; so begrudgingly I summon 3 of them. One goes in the waiting gun and two go on the waist for future use. I also summon 2 Cracker Grenades and one disposable Anti-Ship/ Anti-Mobile Suit weapon, the Sturm Faust. Yes, it is technically an upsized Panzerfaust, but that didn’t stop Zeon from renaming it and it won’t stop me from calling it that.
Although the summoned version is just a slightly different Panzerfaust…
Well Panzerfausts don’t exist in this world, so I can call it what I want to!
I didn’t summon a 28 mm Zaku Bazooka or the twin variant because I figure that I won’t be needing such heavy ordinance for the foreseeable future. I figure that a Sturm Faust is just as effective and takes less space, allowing for the MSG to equip a faster firing weapon.
The Zaku I is just waiting there like a statue. I will try mentally commanding it to pick up its equipment.
As if a switched was flipped, once I order it to pick up it’s equipment it immediately does so. It attaches the Heat Hawk T3 to the back of its waist and loads the first magazine into it gun like it had practiced a thousand times. It then attaches the two extra magazines and Cracker Grenades to its waist and the Sturm Faust to its left hip and stands at attention once again.
Time to lather, rinse and repeat.

Over 3 hours later and my Mana Pool feels nearly empty and there is a massive army of metal men standing in front of me.
Now that I look at this fully equipped army from the perspective of a 3-year-old looking at an army of 1.75 meter tall metal men, I think I might understand how the Federation forces must have felt in the opening months of the One Year War…
However, now is not the time to dilly-dally, and I mentally command them to enter the Mobile Suit Golem Hangar. In an amazing display that would make Houdini green with envy, the army of 1.75 meter tall death machines fade out of existence and I can somehow feel that they are in the Mobile Suit Golem Hangar. I guess it functions as some sort of pocket dimension, like the mythical Hammerspace. With the conspicuously large military force out of the way and my Mana Pool nearly empty I decide to try and get some kind of increase to Mana Regeneration.

I focus hard.
The world is filled with Mana, and I am empty. It is like being in the Marianas Trench and trying to slowly fill a canteen with the ocean. Of course those with average Mana Pools would die horribly in such a situation! Even I can feel the pressure of the surrounding Mana trying to rush into me as I slowly and carefully open my self up to the mass of Mana around me.
Baby steps, slow and steady.
By the time I realized it, I could feel that an equilibrium had been achieved. My body was now porous and Mana from the outside could come and go freely in and out of me.
Also, the sun was halfway below the horizon.
Huh, that was easier than expected. Sure, I unconsciously lost most of the day in the process, but I feel pretty good!
As I walk home I decide to check my Status

My MP is still pretty low, but the Status Spell doesn’t seem to have drained anything, or if it did it was immediately counteracted by Instantaneous Complete Mana Recovery. And then there is this Magical Hazard Immunity. Does that mean I am immune to offensive spells? What even is a Magical Hazard other than Fireballs and the like? Am I immune to debuffs and Curses as well? Is it just me, or am I growing more OP by the day?
Wait a minute, wasn’t I able to use the Ember spell before? And this ‘Nullified’ passive skill…
I try to use the Ember spell, but no matter how hard I try to make the flame appear, nothing happens. No matter how much Mana I put into the spell, it’s as if I wasn’t using the spell to begin with.
Well, at least now I know why so no one in recorded history have done what I have. I have made a terrible mistake.
Oh, well. No use crying over spilled milk.
I decided to run as fast as my little legs cold carry me back to the wood-log wall that surrounds the village. I remember my father’s lecture about how once night falls the gates are shut tight.
Thankfully I arrive just before they shut the gates and into the arms of my Father who looked both overjoyed and angry.
Yes, dad. I know it is late and I shouldn’t have stayed out this late and that it is dangerous out there.
While I can’t tell him that I now have an army at my back, I let him know that I will stick closer to the village and won’t be out past sundown ever again.

Meanwhile, on the same hill I was behind earlier that day.
“That town looks good. When do we strike?”
“We’ll give it a couple of years more time to grow more valuable. I estimate that about 3 more years from now it will be nice and ripe and ready for the harvest.”
“It doesn’t bother you that you’ll be razing one of your own villages to the ground?”
“Why would it? They are just peasants, after all. Their lives are utterly inconsequential to someone like me. They live and die by my whim.”
“Heh, just remember to let us have our fun.”
Of course. And you best remember to bring me the head of the Fire Magic Genius. I want it for my trophy room.”
“I hear his wife is pretty hot. You want to try before we do?”
“That may be an interesting diversion. I will have to remember to indulge my desires when that time comes.”
“Why do you want to have that place razed anyway?”
“No real reason. If I had to choose one, I would be that my knights need the practice of doing something like this for when the next war comes.”
"Sure thing, Crown Prince Edwin."
I had no idea that my happy life was nearly on the chopping block.
