Imperial Eunuch
Chapter 58

Chapter 58

After some more talking, the two elder brothers finally asked for more details, to which Ji Li replied truthfully and more precise than he did in the Mission Hall, where he only reported the general outline and nothing more than that.

There, he didn’t need to say anything more, as that would reveal some of his temperament and behaviour, but he didn’t mind sharing with his elder brothers, who were quiet and only asked questions to things they didn’t really understand.

They didn’t once ask for Ji Li’s Talent, obviously not wanting him to tell them. Although the Eunuch Palace was very well guarded, it was always good to have some secret trump cards, especially younger eunuchs that didn’t go out into the world.

If they had stronger and rare talents, of course that would need to be reported to the council, to make them targets of protection. But for anyone besides the super rare things, there was no need to go any further in reporting.

They eunuchs could keep their Talents to themselves and reveal them in missions they picked on their own, the Eunuch Palace would eventually find out, while the enemies the eunuchs encounter would be in for a surprise when a young eunuch as an ability to instantly shock them, while the other eunuch could attack their blind spot in seconds.

During such times, Ji Li missed his mentor, who was still away. He had wondered several times why he was so busy, but explained to himself that his mentor was seriously busy with his own mission. Still, he was sure that his mentor would be back soon.

Ji Li didn’t spend too much more time with his elder brothers, as in the end, they had just left for less than a month and didn’t really miss anything special from each other’s life. Soon, Ji Li left the Eunuch Ceremonial Hall and went on his way to his Yard.

They arrived shortly after, and many workers were already moving about, taking furniture from the outer yard in. Seemingly, they had already finished the inner re-work and only needed to put the things in place, which made Ji Li happy.

He went into the yard, every worker bowing him on his way, till he arrived at the guest hall and saw that it was exactly like he had imagined it to be, truly satisfying him. He went in and saw the front yard, a small surprise that came to Shixuan and Qianyu, as there were also some works that weren’t announced to them prior.

The yard was completely rebuilt, the green ground was slightly pushed back and most of it was potted into small bonsai trees, while other greenery was added, giving the whole yard a very vitalizing feeling. The most important was the table and the three chairs around it. Along with the sunlight, it looked like a dining and chatting space.

Ji Li had intended to initially change the training room into two separate spaces, but he had another idea that he would also tell his two brothers when they entered. For now, he let them enjoy the scenery of the front yard.

At this point, any entrance to it way blocked, so everything past the guest hall was fully their own property, so they didn’t want to make any of it wasted to the point where they would just pass by and not really do anything, as such was the purpose of the previous front yard.

Now, they could be eating together during day light and spend time with each other even when they were busy otherwise. Ji Li only hoped that living together now in separate buildings wouldn’t disturb their brotherhood, which was highly unlikely and just mindless worry.

Then, Ji Li brought them firstly to Shixuan’s bedroom, which satisfied him greatly. The energy he received from the room was vitalizing, meaning that there was some earth element Essence Allure in his room, which satisfied him greatly.

The story has been taken without consent; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

The room truly felt like his home now, and he knew that the cultivation room probably had much denser earth energy, and the one here was only to make him feel better and didn’t have much more of a purpose, obviously a bit of a luxury.

Then, they went to Qianyu’s bedroom, and he felt the same. The room was full of rich wind energy flowing through the window and every corner of the room, it was built very free and humble while also keeping a certain elegance to it.

They were truly happy with their rooms, but before they went to Ji Li’s room, the visited the Training Hall, which was truly a shock to stone and monkey, as the hall was simply too big! Prior, the building had two floors, but the second one was simply broken, which enlarged the whole training room to another level!

The large room had a hard wooden surface which looked very clean and soft to onlookers, while there were several openings in the ground, on which rocks and tree pot were arranged. In the centre at he back of the room, there was a wooden platform slightly heightened. On it, a single mat with a small table was positioned.

The Training Hall was naturally not for martial arts practice but for literary and talent usage. Ji Li could perform on the potted flowers, Shixuan at the rocks and Qianyu could use the large space for precise wind performances. The training hall was especially built for them.

The wooden platform was a place where they could do several things. First off, the density of the essence was the highest there, so it was optimal to be used when writing formations and talismans or creating miraculous artwork, while together with the large room, it would also be perfect for musical practice, again optimized for the three.

The whole Hall was basically a display of their Talent and abilities, as well as hobbies and personal hobbies. In total, the rework could be counted as a full success and everyone was happy for having a real home now, not just a place where they would sleep.

Lastly, they checked Ji Li’s room, to which there wasn’t too much of a surprise. Ji Li knew how his room would look like, and he also enjoyed the wood energy that flowed through the room. The only thing that surprised him was that everything was finished, but he guessed that the last furniture was actually for the back yard and pavilion they didn’t check at all.

They planned to do so later but wanted to relax and spend some time in their rooms first, although it felt like home, they still had to put their mindset to accept such and ease any worries that came up during the whole time they were wandering around.

Truthfully, the past two days weren’t easy either, as although they had made everything properly without any errors, they still felt uneasy to some extent. The whole thing happened to quickly, Ji Li’s exam would be in just a few days too, but he had barely learned at all since he left the trainee yard, so he would have to touch up on that too.

They trio planned to go into closed door cultivation and learning after dinner of the same day, so they spend the last relaxed time they had sleeping. There was truly too much to worry about in the world, no matter which one. Ji Li only hoped that after the exam, he would get some time off to enjoy his stay, but he guessed that that wouldn’t be the case for him at all.

Soon, evening arrived, and Ji Li left his room, sniffing some meat and rice, to which his belly started to grumble. He truly had too big of an appetite, but the food was just fooding too much! So, he rushed out and saw many plates on the table in the front yard, and even more in the back yard. He looked there and saw Qianyu and Shixuan already making the table.

Ji Li rushed to the table and began eating without saying anything, till he finally calmed down and slowed as he asked with a full mouth “W-Where di you ge- all dis?” his voice was very unclear, but they were among each other, so he didn’t care.

Shixuan and Qianyu looked at each other, chuckling to themselves, knowing full well the reaction they expected had happened, so Qianyu began explaining “After we went to bed, we only spend some time closing our eyes and feeling our surroundings before we went out. In the front yard, we saw each other and decided to go together.

We went to the Trade Pavilions restaurant area, where we bought a lot of food. We wanted you to eat your fill after waking up, as we know you had worked had and you will be working in the next days, and we also wanted to thank you for making our rooms so well and giving us a proper home. You could have taken the whole Yard to yourself and enjoyed being alone, hiring some… servants and stay to yourself.

We wanted to thank you for your teachings, and we know that we will burden you in the coming future, so please forgive us if we aren’t too smart or talented!”

The scene was very sentimental, even Ji Li felt some dust in his eyes, but he just used his talent, grew the trees in the front yard till the fully enclosed the front yard in a frozen igloo. He waited and let the two suffer a bit before saying “You both are so stupid, look at you, barely behind me in cultivation and doing so well in many things, how can you call yourself untalented?”
