I’m fucking tired.
Sword training is hard.
They’re working me like a dingy that has to carry all the survivors of the Titanic.
I just wanna sleeeeeppppp~
…
It’s cold.
“Good, you’re up, start running now to warm up”
It feels like I just got into bed, and now I’m running laps again.
This is hell, I thought I was pretty strong, but they’re working me like I’m a Chinese sweat-shop child.
First thing in the morning is a long run from the house to a tree in the far distance then back.
Next is sword swings until my arms give out.
Afterwards they pelt me with rocks telling me to dodge.
Then back to sword swings until my arms jellify.
They give me a small break in the middle not to die.
But then it’s back to arm liquidating sword swings.
Finally after I can’t feel my arms they have me do something like chin-up on a tree, and tell me to stretch out my body.
And at the very end is a small lecture of different sword styles and mana control.
After all that I drag my beaten, pelted, sore-ass, on-the-verge-of-combusting body to a pile of blankets and go to sleep.
Only to find my-self outside somehow and told to start the new day running, where did my comfy dreams of marshmallow and cotton candy bed go.
Dude I’m fucking tired.
…
Hahaha I’m so fucking awesome look how fit and tone my 5 year old body is!
After a few months of training I have the body that all you fat gamers and weebs can only drool over!
Hahaha, yeah… anyway I got used to it after a while.
Gloomy bro and Tall bro are pretty happy at my improvement telling me I’m on better than Cain when he was my age.
Oh yeah, I found out who the other kids were, they are:
Leo 9 years old, he’s been training with the Impact style and is almost elementary with it, he’s a bit of a crybaby and gets really sad when he’s alone.
Nona, 10 years old, she’s elementary with Suppression style, she’s really cool like those really upbeat girls that hangs out with all the guys.
Cain, 13 years old, he just became intermediate in Impact style, and is a really serious kid he really needs to lighten up and smell the air~
Lotus, 14 years old, he’s an intermediate ranked chartless Fire mage, and has elementary proficiency in all other magic’s besides summoning and barriers.
Mark, Tall bro 19(?) years old, He’s big strong and dependable he’s Advanced at Impact style, intermediate in Suppression style, and intermediate in Revolution style.
Vlad, Gloomy bro 19(?) years old, He’s a warrior that doesn’t follow any style as uses a big shield and tanks everything, he’s use some stuff from Suppression style and Revolution style, so he’s at least advanced in both of them if he were to use a sword.
He’s pretty funny and nice; he makes sure we don’t get hurt while training, but he’s always so gloomy.
I’ve been with training with these guys now a days.
But it’s mostly just been me, Leo, Nona and Tall bro, since we’re the ones who need the most training.
Ever since I came over her Elf bro, Gloomy bro, Cain, and Lotus have been the ones making the money for this family.
Yay I finally know my whole family now, it only took 5 and a half years!
…
A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
Oh looks like something is happening today.
Tall bro told me to sit down this morning instead of running with the others, now he’s giving me a lecture.
“Ok you’ve done well, your foundation is pretty good now, and you’re much stronger than other kids your age, you might even be stronger then Leo right now.
I’ll be teaching you the basics of the Impact style today.”
Hehe That because I also do sit ups and squats, so my body’s a lot more balanced; yeah knowledge is power!
“You really have to stop making that face you’ll scare away your peers like that.
Where was I, Impact style, ok the basics.
The basis of Impact style is that you must overwhelm your opponent, with your imposing stance and power your destroy opponent instantly.
So from now on you’ll be participating in mock battles with Nona, and Leo to get feel for the battle field and getting your body used to fighting so you won’t get flustered when the real thing happens.
Next is mastering the Incantation for elementary Impact users.
Honest to be considered elementary in any of the style you just have to master one elementary incantation.
But learning how to apply them is far more important.”
Wait what incantations, for martial arts?
What’s up with that?
“Wait Tall bro, I thought incantations were only used for mages?”
He give me a smirk, like I knew you were going to ask that, and begins to tell me.
“In order to fight with the monsters of this land we can’t just rely solely on physical strength can we?
Everyone has mana in their body and everyone must make use of everything they have in order to live.
Mages are those who have a surplus of mana to others do not have, and can use them to bring about extreme effects.
Those that do not have as much mana can only find more efficient uses for our mana.
In the past people use to clad their whole body in mana and just smash each other and monsters into the ground.
But eventually people started to innovate and find that even with a limited amount of mana they could still compliment their own skill, and use technique and mana in unison to defeat others.
This was far more efficient than just brutally smashing your mana into everything.
Then after thousands of years or innovation these three styles have become the most widely known and thought.
It may seem like there isn’t much difference between sword users and mages, and in battle that might be so.
If anything you could just say that mage are just very extravagant Suppression practitioners, in battle.
But mages have far more worth in other ways, they can heal, change the terrain and have many other practical uses, practitioners are only good for battle.
Oh while I’m at it all styles have their own ways with dealing with a mage, since they have so much mana, if they hit you your dead, be sure to keep that in mind.
So in summary, practitioners also use the mana in their body to fight, but have a greater focus on efficiency since they don’t have as much mana to work with.
Any questions?”
Wow I feel so educated right now, maybe that because I’m not hearing this while being dead tired today.
“Nope, come on big bro, what is it, what is it, I wanna try it!“
“Yeah that’s that spirit; everyone should get pumped up to learn how to get powerful!”
…
And so my training continues, oddly enough while doing mock battles with Leo, and Nona I’ve been seeing these weird golden lines in my vision, kind of like the worm that floats in the corner of your eyes, I wonder what’s up with that?
