The memories poured into Lem’s mind.
[Choose one of three rewards:
Option 1: peak cultivation from lifetime (Day 4 cultivation)
Option 2: comprehension from lifetime
Option 3: (one spiritual mushroom), or (one carcass of juvenile tyrant sloth)]
Lem was not surprised that he had the ability to choose between multiple objects for the third option. This was part of the rules that had implicitly been transmitted to him when he received the system.
He was more concerned with other aspects of the simulation.
Because he had left one hour later than the previous simulation, it had caused some small differences at the beginning.
What was most important was that the initial hour he had spent waiting, and the path to the mushrooms were both still safe.
Lem agreed with the assessment he had made while observing the simulation.
He would have to wait for a longer time before leaving, so that for a series of simulations he could leave at the same time and make the experiences more regular and predictable.

Lem also was beginning to notice that there were certain places in the forest where he encountered many beasts, and other places where he could survive for days without seeing anything dangerous.
Were the differences related to the prevalence of spirituality?
He had yet to choose between the three options.
He briefly considered the third option, but he decided against it quickly. Both objects likely contained a large amount of spiritual energy, which made them too dangerous to risk taking out.
Option 2 was more attractive than it had been in the past, as the simulation marked the first time he had used the [Nine Bull Fist] in combat, but he still declined it when he thought about how brief the fighting had been.
In the future, it would be a real consideration if he experienced many fights, or if he made a significant breakthrough in combat.
In the end, Lem came back to the first option. The greatest priority was to increase his energy and extend the time it would take for the evil to kill him.
At the same time, when he selected cultivation, his physique would slightly improve, allowing for an increase in his combat ability even without selecting the comprehension option.
Option 1, Lem thought with intent.
He braced himself, but he was still incapable of controlling his emotions when the familiar domineering power flooded through his body.
He ignored the euphoria to the best of his ability, knowing that acting on it could jeopardize his safety.
After a few moments, he regained control of himself.
Immediately, he could feel another qualitative improvement in his physique.
If he had the strength of an adult man before, he felt as though he now had the strength of two men.
His muscles felt more developed and prominent, and his mind was much sharper.
This time, he was not surprised, as he understood why the changes had occurred after observing the process during the simulation.
