[System Notification: Battle Mode is affected by curse]
Daniel ignored the system for the most part. He knew that as long as he did not reveal all his power, the curse would not trigger.
He entered the stage. His opponent was already glaring at him. He did a quick appraisal of Klein Heart.

'This should be relatively easy.'
I wielded the short staff like a sword and got into stance.
"Start."
With that, I held the staff and waited for him to strike first. The staff was a blunt weapon so the only moves I could perform that were effective were smashes. Although I had completely no idea how to use a staff, I was confident that my battle sense and reaction speed were many times better than his.
He took the bait and dashed forward attempting to pierce me in the shoulder. Waiting for the right timing, I smashed the staff onto his right shoulder.
*Crack*
He was pushed down onto the floor with that single hit.
"You bastard."
I gave him time to stand back up. After all, it's no fun when you win too easily.
His right arm was already smashed in thoroughly. A normal human would have long passed out from the pain and shock of having his bones shattered.
As if he hadn't learned from his previous experience, he held the sword in his left hand and lunged at me again. Instead of aiming at his weak spots, this time, I just threw the staff at him. I planned to kick him like a ball if he tried to dodge. He hurriedly ducked and avoided the staff successfully. What lied in wait for him was a kick to the face. Like that, he was easily knocked out cold.

[Received: 100 Merit Points]
Daniel went back to the bleachers satisfied by the merit points while Klein was brought to the infirmary by the man in the lab coat. There were a couple more battles but none of them were as flashy as the first two.
His next class was algebra. It wasn't too important since he had learned it in his previous life.
The class after, was the creature identification class. Daniel entered the classroom and he looked around. It was a bit different from the other classrooms as well. If he were to compare it to something, it would be that it gave off the vibe of a laboratory.
He went to his normal seat at the back corner of the room near the windows.
"Welcome to my class. Some people may know me as Professor Garl."
"In this class, I will teach you guys about different creatures and their anatomy. This includes behaviors and strengths, as well as their blind spots."
"We will also be doing in-class dissection of certain creatures so do be warned."
As Daniel had thought, this was a biology class.
—1 hour later—
Daniel was now in front of the Formation Magic classroom. Entering the room, he only spotted one familiar face. The only other freshman in the room was her. Rachel Azka. There was something different about her though. Instead of the short brown hair from before, it was now tied into a ponytail and she was wearing glasses. Everyone else in the room wore a blue uniform, signifying that they were sophomores. Freshmen wore white; every grade had their own color so it wasn't too hard to identify those of other grades.
His usual spot in the back was already taken so he decided to sit next to Rachel. Rachel did not seem to mind at all. Instead, she smiled and greeted him.
"Nice to meet you, Daniel. I was in awe of your performance in the battle class."
"Likewise. I was impressed by the way you dominated your battle."
They were shortly cut off by the professor.
"Welcome everyone to the Formation Magic class. I am sure everyone here is excited but please calm down. I am Professor Alice, you may know me as a teacher of the senior's Anti-Magic class. I see that other than sophomores, there are two other promising freshmen as well."
"Now, does anyone know what Formation Magic is? Rachel."
She called on Rachel who had her hand raised.
"Formation Magic is the art of drawing physical formations with mana. With these formations, you can do many amazing things such as physical and magic enhancements, recovery, barriers, and even spacial teleportation once at a certain."
"That is correct. As expected from the heir of the Azka household."
"For our first unit, we will be learning how to properly manifest the mana stored in our bodies and use it to draw."
She lifted her hand in the air and by channeling the mana into her pointer finger, she wrote a word in midair. The word floated for a couple seconds and then scattered.
"This is called Mana Channeling. The more control you have over your mana, the more you can control it when it leaves the body. As you see, after a couple seconds of staying in the air, I willed the mana to scatter and disperse. If you lack control over your mana, the moment it leaves your body, it will instantly dissipate back into magic particles. It is said that once you have reached a certain level of control over your mana, you are able to will it into existence and keep it permanent for as long as you will it. I do not expect any of you to reach that level since only a select few formation wizards have ever reached that level of control in history. What I will be expecting from you guys, is that you will proactively seek to not just improve your mana capacity, but also your own control over mana."
After class had ended, Daniel was deep in thought. He was thinking about how he should perfect his control over his mana.
