“I want a burger though! You have twenty five burgers! What are you going to do with all of those?!” Chase asked.

“I’ll give them to Thomas instead!” Jane said.

“What?! You think a tiny lion like me could eat 25 burgers?!” Thomas asked, staring wide-eyed at Jane.

“You would be surprised what a Werelion is capable of,” Chase said, stealing a burger.

“CHASE!” Jane yelled.

“Too late!” Chase said through a mouthful of burger.

Thomas and Jane ate the rest of the burgers. The young woman only ate one burger. Chase stared on, hungrily, as the burgers were consumed. Casually, he reached over Thomas’ shoulder (Thomas had transformed back into a human before eating) and stole a long French fry.

“Mmm, yummy yummy,” Chase said.

“Shoo, Chase!” Jane yelled.

“Wait, hang on…I have a question,” Thomas said and then belched loudly.

“Yes,” Chase answered.

“That wasn’t the question!” Thomas yelled. “I wanted to make sure the human you ate WASN’T Daisy.”

“I don’t know what Daisy looks like,” Madeline said with a shrug.

“YOU BETTER NOT HAVE KILLED HER!” Thomas yelled.

Madeline smirked. Luckily for Thomas, Daisy was safely tucked away in her house. Thomas threw an absolute fit as Madeline wouldn’t tell him what he wanted to hear. At the same time, though, the combination of being stuffed full of burgers and the intense heat made Thomas feel a little nauseous.

“Alright, I’m ready to NOT go anywhere,” Chase said with a yawn.

Chase transformed back into a lion. He stretched and laid down on the ground in his usual resting position. Thomas stared at him a moment, but also wasn’t feeling like doing anything so he transformed into a very round lion cub and laid down as well.

“How do you get comfy when this full? I don’t understand!” Thomas wailed, trying several positions.

“Wait! But what about the pool?!” Madeline asked. “We were supposed to head to the house with the swimming pool!”

“Later! We can nap and still make it in time!” Chase said.

“But it’s sooooo hot out here!” Jane whined.
