Chapter 14 I have to kill, I want to kill

"Ultimate barrier!" quickly activates his magic, a transparent bright blue dome envelops Jake and Arlain.

"wow, it's like in a video game!" Jake said as he ran at high speed towards the new guards entering the hallway, visibly surprised, the fully armored guards quickly opened fire on the two, but their laser shots and bullets bounced off Arlain's barrier.

"Hmph! Pathetic!!" Arlain shouted while watching the sparks and lasers raining down on the two like fireworks.

Jake was currently running at an inhuman speed, not as fast as when he attacked the two guards earlier but fast enough to blur his surroundings and close the long hallway in a few seconds.

In an instant Jake arrived in front of the panicked guards as an image crossed his mind, if he crashed into these people at this speed with Arlain's barrier, the consequences would be fatal, he had subconsciously restrained himself when he threw out the black-haired man earlier, but right now Jake could imagine them being crushed to death, but he had no choice, he has to do it, he has to do it, yes, he must kill them before they killed him and Arlain, bracing himself, Jake closed his eyes and increased his speed, but before he reached the guards, Arlain chanted another magic "Explosion!!!"

That's when Jake remembered the two people behind him, looking back fortunately Arlain's explosion didn't reach them at the other end of the hallway.

"I'm sorry but I'll do it right from here" Jake tightened his grip on the rifle in his hand and started walking forward past the tragic remains of the guards, sensing Jake's determination, Arlain replied loudly "Hmph! That's how it should be! There's no way a noble like me do all the work!"

Hearing Arlain's usual bearing, Jake chuckled for a bit before whispering softly "Thank you for doing it for me, but it's fine now"

However Arlain did not answer Jake and Jake didn't seem to expect an answer either, walking into the heat and smoke, Jake walked through the darkness lit by fire as he once again strengthened his heart.

Looking at the food one by one starting from meat, vegetables to deserts there is not much difference from food on earth in fact the food here looks expensive and delicious, makes Jake can't help but drool "I didn't think their food was quiet luxurious"

"Really? Looks like trash in my eyes" Arlain said without hesitation

Taking one fried meat that was still warm, Jake sank his teeth into the meat and was surprised by the taste as the meat juice filled his mouth, maybe because this was his first proper food in a month but the food was so delicious that he wanted to cry, finishing the meat in two bites, Jake immediately took more in his hand.

"Do you want some?" Jake raised the meat in front of Arlain, but Arlain's reaction was only angry yells and disgust "I don't want trash food like that!"

"Whwy?!" Jake said while chewing something like a chicken thigh the size of his hand in his mouth "Aren't you hungry? I've never seen you eat?"

Jake had never seen Arlain eat but he ignored it because he thought Arlain was some kind of alien, but after knowing that he was a human too it's strange if he didn't eat, but Arlain only answered in disgust "I can't possibly eat the shit they give me! Besides I'm surprised you can eat that"

Remembering his bad experience that not even an hour had passed, Jake tried to erase the disgusting thing from his mind "Isn't this different? Can you not eat?"

"Hmph! I can endure hunger and thirst for a year!" Arlain replied proudly.

"Even when you were still human?" Jake asked doubtfully.

"That's Faleria graduate for you! And don't try to give me that dirty food! I'll only eat later when I get to the palace" Arlain replied arrogantly making Jake whisper under his breath "Are you really human..."

"What?"

"Nothing! If that's the case let me eat for a second!!" Jake excitedly swapped his rifle with a plate and started filling it with food.

"why are you like this..." Arlain wanted to protest to Jake because they were still in the middle of a battle, but seeing Jake who was very happy, Arlain could only sigh from his nonexistent mouth as he watched Jake eat greedily, Hmm, he would have to teach this guy some table manners later.

Silence lingered for a few seconds as the three froze, Slowly backing away from the door, the man immediately dashed out of there with full power.

"Seize him!!" With Arlain's shout as his cue, Jake quickly grabbed his rifle and chased after him.

"Fwukinwing Hwellw!!"

"Just spit out your food! Are you stupid!"

"NWO!!"

With that the chaos continued.
