Chapter 11 Prison Escape

Chapter 11 Prison Escape

After the firefly-like light floating in the room subsided, Jake opened his mouth "What was that just now?"

"don't know" Arlain answered while looking at the remaining lights in the air in surprise.

"Huh?" Jake tilted his head at Arlain's answer "Isn't that your magic just now?"

"not really, I can't waste my remaining Mana" Arlain shook his slime head. "I might have a little idea, but..." Arlain said as he glanced at the glass wall before quickly speaking "Well, let's put that aside"

"what? shall we ignore it?" Jake gave Arlain a strange look, however, before Jake could ask further, at that moment a rough vibration echoed around the room.

"what was that again?" Jake looked around in a mix of doubt and panic.

"This ship must have landed somewhere, we don't have much time let's get out from here" Arlain said as he approached the glass wall and looked around the hallway to check his surroundings.

"Wait! Seriously?!"

"There should be a circuit location around here that contains power cables"

"What do you want to do?" Jake asked from behind trying to see his dark surroundings but all he could see were two green eyes glowing from across.

No matter how many times I see it's pretty scary...

While Jake tried to ignore the two green eyes in front of him, Arlain turned to him "We have to find that circuit box, inside there are electrical cables and cables containing Mana, if I can absorb just a little bit of it"

"you can use magic"

"much stronger magic" Arlain answered confidently, but Jake still had doubts about his plan "I understand, but can we escape from this ship, this is quite a big ship, right?"

Jake remembered when he first saw this ship in the sky that seemed to cover the space above him, Jake couldn't imagine it would be easy to get out of here especially since he didn't know how many enemies were inside.

But Arlain denied it "We will get out of here but we will not escape from this ship"

"Why?" Jake asked in confusion.

"even if we escape from here we will be easily caught again, moreover wherever they land now is definitely not in a place that is advantageous for us, we can't run out and stealing small ships that might be inside this ship is also quite risky"

That's right, Jake just remembered he was inside a spaceship, even if they managed to get out they were trapped wherever the ship was and it wasn't like the outside was safe "So are we going to take over this ship?"

"I like your way of thinking" Arlain said, Jake could feel him grinned from behind his slime body "but going home with this trash would be embarrassing for me, so we'll call my own ships"

"That's it.... do you want to call for help?" Jake nodded.

"That's right, I'll call my fleet"

"Will they come?" Jake asked doubtly, he couldn't imagine them coming with a single call especially with Arlain's condition, but Arlain answered with unwavering faith "They don't need to know I'm here, this ship has attacked my Flagship yet before my ship fell, we managed to send an SOS signal to the rest of the fleet along with the data of the attackers, this damned thing is now being hunted across the galaxy, I know my subordinates, they must be close, we just need to announce the location of this ship grandly and my Fleet will come from all directions"

"sounds good to me" Jake smiled with a teasing smile "but if they take too long then we'll be going home on this ship"

"Hmph! Then they'll be punished for embarrassing me!"

The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.

Both laughed before Arlain spoke nonchalantly "Then let me ride on your head"

"Uh what?" Jake's laughter froze.

"Hurry up"

Seeing Arlain who stretch out his two slime hands from below, Jake hesitantly took his cold slime body and put it on his head, with a cold and strange sensation on his head when Arlain hugged his head up to his ears made Jake shivered, blinking a few times, Jake snapped "why on my head?!"

Jake shouted in confusion questioning Arlain who hugged his head but instead Arlain actually seemed to enjoy it "Oh! I haven't been this tall for some time!" Arlain shook his body which made Jake even more ticklish.

"Arlain!" Jake shouted holding back the tickle on his neck.

"Tah? What is it?" Arlain answered innocently.

"Why are you on my head?! I'll carry you in my arms! So get down for a minute!" Jake tried to release Arlain from his head but Arlain tightened his slime body around his head "No way! I have to climb onto your head to channel my mana power!"

"Mana?" Jake asked Arlain who was writhing on his head.

"Correct! I will enhance your body with strengthening magic so we can escape from here first" Arlain replied.

"that... can't it be somewhere else?"

"No other way, this is the most efficient way" Arlain said firmly and Jake could only sigh with the shining slime on his head, it felt uncomfortable but it couldn't be helped, Jake thought resignedly.

"Let's get started, I don't know if they're watching this cell directly but seeing me on your head would probably raise alarm bells for anyone who sees it" Arlain said.

Jake never thought he was being watched in here because there were no surveillance cameras or anything visible but it wouldn't be strange if they used magic for it, as he thought that, Jake could feel Arlain's light getting brighter and something flowing from his head, something like warm water flowing through his veins, looking at his own body, Jake could feel the power flowing into his body getting stronger and hotter until he felt like he was soaking in boiling water.

"Kahh!" Jake winced a little, it didn't hurt but his body felt like it was filled with something until he was afraid his body would explode and his muscles tensed up in a strange way.

Is this Mana? I can feel it inside my body, but I don't seem to have any control over it.

"Are you alright?" Arlain asked worriedly.

"I think it's okay, it just feels like my body is going to explode" Jake answered with a smile but sweat was streaming down his forehead.

"I think the burden is quite large because this is your first time in direct contact with mana, let's do it quickly" Arlain said before telling Jake to walk to the Glass wall.

When Jake had standing in front of the thick glass wall, Arlain spoke excitedly "Now hit it with all your might!"

"What?" Jake frowned, looking at the thick glass wall in front of him, Jake became doubtful "Can I?"

"What's what?! Are you doubting my magic?!, I graduated from the Faleria Magic Academy you know! Hit it now and this glass will shatter into pieces!" Arlain said with pride and certainty.

"Right" Jake took a deep breath and prepared his stance, he didn't know the power of magic but if Arlain said so then he could only believe it, with adrenaline rising, Jake pulled his hand back and started swinging it with all his might.

"Ah... I'm still sleepy" Krenel said lazily as he walked with his shoulders hunched.

"Shut up and push the trolley" Torain said as he held a rifle in his arms.

Walking along the dim hallway, Krenel never stopped complaining because he was woken up from his sleep while Torain was in a bad mood for the same reason, both of them were suddenly ordered to go down to the cells area to feed the creatures in the cargo cells, and there was one more additional task.

"So it's true that the pink creature is going to be sold huh?" Krenel spoke to clear his mind.

"I guess so, it might as well be a gift" Torain replied half-interested.

"A gift? Isn't that an insult to give such a strange creature" Krenel said with a sarcastic laugh. "Isn't the Terra Humanis could be a better gift?"

"For what?"

"Ehehe, you're right, also Isn't that Terra Humanis just throwing away food? I'm tired of taking care of it, even if we throw it to Airlock the captain probably won't care"

"I don't know, maybe that Terra Humanis can be sold for a few hundred Arbak, or maybe he'll be cut into pieces as food like those high class losers" Torain smiled sadistically remembering the filth that betrayed their own master just to be used as monsters feed.

Seeing Torain who accidentally showed his dark side, Krenel decided not to talk further and just pushing the trolley still half asleep.

After a few minutes they finally arrived in front of the large door that separated the cells area from the rest of the ship, entering the code into the console, Torain suddenly noticed something like a subtle vibration in the air

"Did you feel it?" Torain looked around him warily.

"Not really?" Krenel said while entering the code into the console while yawning.

"Krenel!! Stop what you-"

Before Torain could warn his junior, the large iron door opened with a hiss of air and at the same time an explosion and the deafening sound of glass breaking echoed from inside.

"WARNING! A BREAK IN CELL A4 HAS OCCURRED! DANGER! WARNING! A BREAK IN CELL A4 HAS OCCURRED! DANGER! WARNING! A BREAK IN CELL A4 HAS OCCURRED! DANGER!"

With a repeated pitch sound the alarm sounded loudly as all the lights turned red warning signs.

Inside the room, from one of the cells, a humanoid figure with shabby clothes stepped out of the cell with heavy steps, Krenel and Torain realized it was the Terra Humanis who was being held in one of the cells, but both of them almost screamed seeing his appearance, with hand that were pouring blood, there was something writhing and shining above his head, bathed in a terrifying red light, he stared at the two of them with a murderous gaze.

"I think I broke my fist" (Jake)

"Mm~... I think we underestimated that glass" (Arlain)
