The transport arrived back in Scotland as it flew towards the Resistance base the transport flew into the hangar and landed the back door of the transport opened and I step off of the transport the back door of the transport then closed as I made my way towards the command room where I could see Nitro "Nitro..." I said but before I could say more Nitro interrupted me "Josh we have a problem." Nitro said "What is it?" I asked "It's Skitter, he's gone." Nitro said "What do you mean he's gone?" I asked "I mean he's gone as in he just left he deserted the Resistance, he jumped into one of the transports and just took off." Nitro explained "What." I said "I tried to contact him on his communicator but all he said was that he was done with the Resistance and that we shouldn't go looking for him" Nitro said, I stood there shocked at what I was hearing "Why would Skitter do that?" I thought before speaking again "Do we have any idea where he could be?" I asked "We don't know we tried tracking the transport he took but he must have disabled it's tracking system, he could be anywhere in the world." Nitro said "So what do we do?" I asked "We need to find any clues as to his whereabouts, we've already searched his room but found nothing useful." Nitro said, I then had an idea "Hold on I'll be back." I said as I turned around and began walking towards the hangar door "Where are you going?" Nitro asked "Just wait for me here." I said as I left the Resistance base and began running towards Skitter's hideout.

I ran towards Skitter's hideout as millions of thoughts ran through my head I arrived at Skitter's hideout and I opened the front door of the house before I began searching the house much of the house was in a state of disrepair I searched the inside of the house but I didn't find Skitter inside the house "Where are you Skitter?" I thought as I ran to the back door and opened it, I stepped out onto the patio and could see the hot tub where me and Skitter had sex I then looked at the wall and saw the postcard with the picture of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil on it, I then remember Skitter saying that he always wanted to go there "Skitter." I said as I looked at the postcard, I then ran back through the house I ran through the house when suddenly I saw Linda, Brian, Belial, Stahl, Manticore, Vex, Valeria and De'vorah as well as several Ghosts just then they rushed towards me and attacked me, I ran through the house to avoid them before leaving Skitter's hideout and heading back to the Resistance base.

Arriving back at the base I could see Nitro waiting for me "Where did you go?" Nitro asked "I know where Skitter is." I said "What, where is he?" Nitro asked "Rio de Janeiro in Brazil." I answered "How do ya know that." Nitro asked "Does it matter?" I asked "Yes it does!" Nitro barked "He told me that he always wanted to go to Rio de Janeiro when we were at that Federation warehouse in Switzerland alright!" I lied "Alright then you'll be the one going after him." Nitro said "And what will happen to him once I find him?" I asked "Skitter is a deserted he betrayed the Resistance, plus if he's out there on his own there's a good chance the Federation could capture him we can't risk the Resistance's secrets falling into the Federation's hands so you will find Skitter and you will kill him." Nitro said, I felt myself getting angry as I heard those words in that moment I wanted nothing more than to pull out my gun and blow Nitro's fucking head off right there "So you want me to hunt down and kill one of our own Resistance fighters, is that what we do now is that what we are?" I asked "I'm sorry Josh but that's just the way it..." Nitro said but before he could continue I raised my left hand and pointed my index finger close to Nitro's face silencing him, Nitro recoiled his head slightly as he looked at me with a stunned expression "I will find Skitter and I will decide what happens to him." I said before lowering my hand turning around and moving towards the transport, Nitro stayed silent as I walked away from him and approached the transport the back door of the transport opened and I stepped aboard the transport and sat down "Take me to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil." I said, the back door of the transport closed and the transport took off and flew out of the hanger before making it's way towards Brazil.

The transport arrived in Brazil as it flew towards Rio de Janeiro the transport flew towards the city before it landed in the street the back door of the transport opened and I quickly stepped off of the transport the back door of the transport then closed as I looked around "Where are you Skitter?" I said before I began running through the city searching for Skitter.

I walked all throughout the city searching everywhere for Skitter I eventually stumbled upon a Resistance transport that had landed in the street I approached the transport and looked inside of it but there was nothing inside "Skitter!" I shouted but there was no response "Skitter where are you!" I shouted but again there was no response "Skitter please." I said when suddenly I heard a voice "I told them I didn't want them to come after me." the voice said, I immediately recognized the voice it was Skitter he was here and he was close I glanced around at my surroundings trying to find Skitter but I couldn't see him "Skitter must be using his Disguise Device to hide." I thought "Skitter where are you?" I asked "I'm where I've always wanted to be, funny I always imagined this place to be so beautiful but now that I'm here it's all destroyed just like the rest of your planet." Skitter said "Skitter please, I just want to talk." I said "What is there to talk about Josh, I know why you're here I knew the Resistance would never just let me go." Skitter said "They sent you here to kill me didn't they?" Skitter asked, I knew there was no point in lying to him Skitter knew exactly what was about to happen and so did I "Yes." I said dreading what was to come "You're honest Josh I appreciate that." Skitter said just then I heard the sound of Skitter's Disguise Device coming from behind me I turned around and could see Skitter sitting on a pile of rubble looking down at the ground I opened up my helmet before I spoke "Skitter." I said before pausing for a moment before I continued to speak "Why did you do it Skitter, why did you leave the Resistance?" I asked as Skitter looked at me "I joined the Resistance because I wanted Humanity to pay for what they did to my species I wanted to kill Humanity just like they killed the Hycelians I was going to wipe out the Resistance once they destroyed the Federation then I would have killed the rest of Humanity, I was so angry at Humanity for what they did to my species I wanted to kill Humanity just like they killed the Hycelians but then I met you Josh you were the only Human that was nice to me you were the only Human that loved me after I revealed myself to you you showed me love after that I knew I couldn't kill Humanity I couldn't kill you Josh." Skitter said as he stood up "I have done nothing but suffer because of Humanity." Skitter said as he removed his helmet and dropped it on the ground "I've spent my entire life fighting I don't want to fight anymore, I want to be free Josh I want to be free of this pain." Skitter said as he approached me, he then reached down towards my assault rifle before he held my arm up with my assault rifle in my hands he held my assault rifle against his head so that Skitter was now forcing me to point my assault rifle at his head "I knew you would come Josh, I knew you would be the one to set me free." Skitter said, my body began to shake as Skitter held my arm in place forcing me to point my assault rifle at him "Skitter no." I said as tears began to form in my eyes "You have to Josh, if you don't they'll just send someone else to do it and they might even send someone to come after you for disobeying your orders." Skitter said "I can't, I won't!" I cried "It's okay Josh I want you to be the one to set me free." Skitter said as tears began flowing down his face "Skitter." I said as my voice began to crack, Skitter smiled before he spoke one final time "Thank you Josh, thank you for everything I love you." Skitter said, I closed my eyes and let out a powerful scream as I slowly squeezed the trigger and my assault rifle fired I then felt Skitter's grip on my arm weaken before I heard the sound of his body collapsing to the ground Skitter is dead.

I fell to my knees and opened my eyes as I saw Skitter's dead body on the ground I began to cry as tears clouded my vision I knelt next to Skitter's dead body before speaking "Skitter." I said softly pausing for a moment before I continued to speak "I'm sorry." I said as I stayed there mourning the loss of my friend, after awhile I stood up I then put my assault rifle away before I picked Skitter's helmet up off of the ground before activating my communicator "Nitro it's Josh..." I said pausing for a moment "...It's done." I said, there was a moment of silence before I heard Nitro's voice "I understand, come back to the Resistance base Josh." Nitro said, I deactivated my communicator before picking Skitter's dead body up off of the ground and began moving through the city I carried Skitter's dead body through the city until I reached a beach I walked across the beach before I stopped moving about halfway across the beach I then put Skitter's dead body down I dropped Skitter's helmet next to Skitter's dead body before I began to dig a hole in the sand with my hands, after awhile I managed to dig a hole large enough for Skitter's dead body to lay in I then looked at Skitter's dead body I looked at Skitter's Disguise Device that was on his armour "I guess you don't need this anymore." I said as I removed Skitter's Disguise Device from his armour and put it on my suit, Skitter's Disguise Device then attached itself to my suit and then a message appeared on my helmet's visor "Disguise Device installed." the message read, I then picked up Skitter's dead body and lowered Skitter's dead body into the hole before filling the hole with sand and once the hole was filled I looked around and could see a large piece of broken concrete nearby I walked up to it and picked it up before returning to the spot where Skitter's dead body was buried I placed the large piece of broken concrete at the head of the now covered hole I then extended my blade and carved Skitter's name into the large piece of broken concrete and with that Skitter was buried, I retracted my blade before staring at Skitter's grave eventually I activated my communicator to contact the pilot "Pilot this is Josh, I'm done here." I said "Understood Josh, I'm coming to ya." the pilot said, I deactivated my communicator as I continued to stare at Skitter's grave tears steadily rolling down my face eventually the transport landed nearby I walked up to the large piece of broken concrete and knelt down in front of it before speaking "Rest in peace, my friend." I said as I kissed the large piece of broken concrete, I kissed my friend farewell before I closed my helmet and picked Skitter's helmet up off the ground I then walked towards the transport the back door of the transport opened and I stepped aboard the transport and sat down "Take me back to the Resistance base." I said, the back door of the transport closed and the transport took off and made it's way back towards Scotland.

The transport arrived back in Scotland as it flew towards the Resistance base the transport flew into the hangar and landed the back door of the transport opened and I stepped off of the transport with Skitter's helmet in my hands the back door of the transport then closed as I looked and could see Nitro and Mayhem as well as several Resistance fighters standing around the hangar everyone was looking at me, I approached Nitro but I said nothing I just stared forward and stopped once I reached him he looked at me before glancing at Skitter's helmet before he returned his gaze back to me "Josh I..." Nitro said but before he could say anymore I extended my blade the sound of scraping metal that emitted from my blade as I extended it echoed through the hangar everyone jumped back at the sight of this some of the Resistance fighters gripped their weapons tightly but nobody dared to make a move I just stared forward tears still in my eyes but nobody couldn't see my face through my helmet's visor nobody could see everything that I was feeling, the sorrow, the anger, the hate Nitro just stood there silent I retracted my blade and walked past Nitro and Mayhem I walked through the crowd of Resistance fighters as everyone stared at me eventually I reached the door that led to the rooms and began making my way down to my room, I walked through the Resistance base until I arrived at my room I opened the door and stepped inside my room before closing the door behind me I placed Skitter's helmet on my dresser before opening my suit and stepping out of it my suit then closed automatically before I collapsed onto my bed and cried, I cried for the loss of my friend I cried for the pain it brought me I cried in my room on my bed alone I just killed my friend I cried alone in my room until suddenly I heard knocking at my door followed by a voice "Josh it's Cydaea, can I come in?" the voice asked, I said nothing I simply stood up walked up to my door and opened it I then saw Cydaea standing in the corridor she entered my room and looked at me with a sad expression "Josh..." Cydaea said but before she could say anymore I wrapped my arms around her and hugged her, Cydaea returned the hug as she began to cry I stood there with Cydaea in my arms and I cried I let it all out I knew Cydaea wanted to help me I knew she wanted to support me and I accepted her help I cried as Cydaea held me in her warm loving embrace eventually I released my grip on Cydaea and we stood in my room looking at each other before Cydaea spoke "I'm so sorry Josh." Cydaea said, I stood there looking at Cydaea with tears rushing down my face "If there's anything you need, anything at all just ask." Cydaea said, "Thank you." I said before Cydaea walked out of my room I closed the door before turning around and approaching Skitter's helmet I picked Skitter's helmet up off of the dresser and looked at it for a moment I then kissed Skitter's helmet before placing it back down on my dresser I then collapsed onto my bed and laid there in my sorrow.
