______ATLANTIS_______
Named after the legendary city of the seas, this was one of the first academies that specialized in training the heroes of the next generation.
It was founded in 1963 by Charles Morris in the Mediterranean island known as Bane Isle; it operated secretly out of the founder’s mansion. During this early period, the students were few, but they went on to become some of the greater heroes of their generation with most of them even coming back to teach the future students and assist the aging Morris.
In 1975, a seventy two year old Charles Morris, joined by some of the people that assisted him, revealed the academy’s existence to the world, dubbing it Atlantis and revealing that many international heroes found their beginnings there. This was not an isolated event, having taken place during a time many other Academies revealed themselves or were founded, bringing the Superhero Boom of the Twentieth Century at its peak, and starting a process where it was all normalized.
