The room was silent, as no one was saying anything. As three men were looking at a fourth one, who was facing the ground.
While Levis’s head was looking to the soil at his feet, as though in punishment, even as he was really admonished by the infuriated gazes of the others.
But the bewildering thing that was passing through the head of the men that were looking at him was not anger, but astonishment and shock, as it was not even yesterday that he had killed, for the first time, and now he was going around their backs, torturing and possibly killing their prisoner.
Going back in time, as they had gone out of the tent, and were preparing for Adrian to part, for the scouting of the bandit's hold, they were taken aback as the guard that was overseeing to the prisoners had come back, with a blood-stained Levis and a knife he had taken from the boy, explaining the horrid situation of their prisoner Zuger, as they had immediately gone and a certain for themselves, before old Wan had treated him again on his almost disfigured face.
“So what am I going to do with you? I was supposed to ask you how have you become a cultivator, not how you are working to become an assassin.”
As Rowen broke the silence, while looking at the kid that he had taken a liking, as to nurture a future strong cultivator to his side, he was quite bewildered at what to say and do, as he looked at the blood-drenched right hand and blood-stained clothes and face of the boy, as well as the knife, on the table before him.
“Well, we can be reassured, that nothing serious had happened, as I am almost sure that our little friend Levis, has his reasons for what he had done, so let's hear his side of the story first.
But as old Wan, tried to deflate the tense and awkward situation, had no other choice but to speak at the boy’s behest as he was still looking down not saying anything. Even though he was the one most suspicious of the kid, as he had not sens anything hiding in his surroundings, making himself wonder on how he did enter the tent and committed such action, while not alerting anyone, and more importantly the level of cruelty and murderousness, that was surrounding him, was more than just unusual, as it was almost unnatural.
“He was there—”
But as words finely came out of his mouth, the three men listen carefully, but the volume of the words emitted was too low to clearly hear anything substantial, even with their higher than normal human senses.
“What? What did you say?”
But as Rowen was asking on behalf of all of them, a frown could be finely seen on the face that was rising to look directly into his eyes, as anger mixed with murder intent, were far too obvious and readable.
“He was there when grandpa was killed.”
At Levis’s audible reply, the faces of the three men, become somewhat darker, as they were genuinely becoming in favor of the bandit slaves duo, and to their lives, but the new discovery had reawakened them, to the fact that they could have many innocent bones buried under their feet.
“So I see. I can not really blame you if you want to take revenge on your relative's murderers. However, I can not let you do that while I am watching you, as I need to take them to be processed by the Kingdom's law.”
But as Rowen was speaking, Levis’s head was facing the ground once more, as his hands were clenched.
"---."
“If you have nothing to ad, you can go, as I have other things to do at the moment.”
But as the silence of the young child continue, Rowen could do nothing, but to dismiss him, as he was preparing to send Adrian away.
“---Wait! You want to ask me how I started to be stronger and faster, cultivation, right!? I can tell you, if you do one thing for me?”
“Ooh, so you have demands now. Let me hear you, I will entertain you this once.”
But at Levis’s strange and sudden request, Rowen half-heartedly acquiesce to his demand, as he was still somewhat stressed, from all the happenings and the overseeing of the camp.
“Good, this is your word and you can not go back on it.”
“What? You brat, what are you going to as—.?”
“It all happened about half a year ago—”
“You are not even letting me finish, and you already started your story.”
“--- When I found a different kind of sweet red fruit, some distance from the village, I took it and ate, and was far better than the normal ones, but it had given me stomach pain, and after I returned to the village and told Grandpa he hit me on the head, making my head hurt allot and after some moment my chest felt fuzzy, the next day I was surprised to see, that I could run faster and carry the large water carrier. That's how it happened.”
But to the story of the boy, two of the men had normal expressions, while the third had a shocked expression, as it was the first time hearing of the situation of the boy.
Though as it was an extremely normal thing, like any other awakening of personal energy as there was. As for his stomach pain, which was most likely caused by his inability to digest, as plants and their fruits that had a rich amount of energy of their own to be classified into ranks, were hard or near impossible to be consumed by normal humans, as for his headache, it was his mental power colliding with the energy from the fruit, and the fuzzy feeling, the creation of his dantian, although the possibility of all of these things occurring was extremely rare, especially, as the three of them knew, that the region they were currently in, was of a dead spot, with a low density of energy in the air.
But as his story ended, Rowen looked at old Wan, but all he could see was the old man shaking his head, as he had no idea how all of this was possible, especially in the place they were in.

“Now, I want to go back to my village!”
“What?”
But at the end of his story, the demand of the boy made Rowen’s eyelids to twitch, as he had the small impulse to punch the little bastard in the head and see if he had something there.
“When we first met, you said that you buried grandpa and the rest, but did you put a name to their graves?”
However, Levis turned himself toward the surprised Adrian, that had been staying behind him, and listen silently to their conversation, as he was surprised at the fact that the young boy before him was a cultivator, but as he was looking back at what he had been able to do, everything was starting to make more sense, but as he was being addressed by Levis, he had to face him and respond in honesty.
“No! All I could do in the short moment was to burry each and every one separately, and since I did not know any of their names, I left the grave unnamed.”
“You heard him! Since that is the case, I need to return and name the graves.”
But as the stubborn Levis turned to face Rowen again, he could see that the young captain was truly irritated as he was truly considering giving him a beating, before taking a glance at the old man and giving a sigh of resignation.
“You really need to go?”
“Yes, and if you don’t let me, I will just go alone.”
“You—, “sigh” alright---, Adrian is there any rank 3 available?”
“Yes, among the rank 3 that is in good condition— Hubert is the only choice.”
“Alright, call— no, you can explain to him that all he needs to do, is to guard Levis for a day or two. As for you, go and tell your village about your departure, if they are going to be against it, it will be your problem, you’ll leave in two hours.”
“Yes, yes, I will tell them. I will wait for you at the gates, so move fast.”
But as he was saying that, the boy had already left the tent, leaving the three of them alone, to look at one another.
“Captain, are you really going to let him go? And, is he really a cultivator?”
“Sigh, with a bit of hope, his village won’t allow him, and yes, otherwise how would he have killed that bandit and beat up Zuger in that state, as for his talent—.”
“It is very likely to be at the same level as the big families. However, what preoccupies this old man, is his out-of-the-ordinary killing intent.”
“That can be corrected, as for his talent, it is better to stay with me, rather than anyone else if he wants to go to higher stages.”
But as the three men were conversing in the tent, Levis was sprinting to his make-shift shelter, to the north of the camp, with a serious expression.
[Good disciple, you manage to fumble your way around, without any help.]
[We can consider this to be some progress in the right direction. This will allow us some private time, to finely make some experiments on your awakening and growth, and to familiarize yourself more, about your own energy.]
“Provisions.”
[Eh?]
[His not listening.]
[This little—, he sure is an ungrateful one, we still have to discuss how is he going to pay me back for giving him two personal servants.]
[It is better to speak with him when he’ll be bored, that way he won’t escape your words.]
[Hmph!]
However, as Levis was passing thru the many villagers, while still being stained by the blood, he unknowingly arrived at his tent only to look blankly for several moments.
“---I have nothing, and for provisions, the guards will take the food so—.”
[You need to clean yourself.]
“Yes, I need to clean myself and tell the village Chief about this.”
As he exited from his tent, and went to the nearest bucket of water to clean his hands and face, while also trying to clean some blood stains from his trousers and tunic, but still some fading stains remained as the blood had dried up, making it harder, in washing it clean.
But as he had determined, that was enough, he immediately moved towards the tent where the village Chief was staying, making his way thru even more villagers and guards busying themselves with various works.
As the tent became visible, after walking for a short time, he did not stop as he barged inside, seeing the village Chief and his wife treating him, while also rebuking him.
“I told you not to move and you go try walk—!”
“I told you—.”
“Village Chief! Aunty!?”
“A Levis, what is it?”
“---Village Chief, I will go back to the village, with the guards to see to the graves of Grandpa and Grandma. No need to stop me, I will go alone if I have to, as that is what I have to do as a man and as the grandson of Ato. No need for provisions, the guards will take care, I will come back in a few days.---”
“What, Levis wait!”
“You brat, want to do what!?”
But just as he had entered inside, at the sight of the village Chief’s wife, his determination had waiver, but in a fast and reckless manner, he was successful in saying everything, but before the Aunty or the Chief had any chances of saying anything back to him, he turned around and exited the tent.
“LEVIS, COME BACK HERE RIGHT NOW!”
As he made his way outside, he began to sprint at full force towards the gates of the camp, not looking behind him, at the infuriated woman that had stormed out of the tent, shouting at him to return.
However, he disappeared in mere moments before the woman had come out, as he made his way in between the tents before storming out of the camp, making many villagers and guards to look at him.
“That was scary, speaking like that, I bet, I infuriated many of them.”
[Well, rather than infuriated you should say enrage and annoyed, it seems that you have come to your sanity, of the scared cat again.]
“What—?”
[Mind!]
[What had happened to me? I can remember having ended the training, after which my memories are in shamble, till the point where I started to speak with the captain.]
[From there? Well you have gone to see the bandit that they had captured and—]
[And what?]
[---well, you beat him half to death, before I convince you to make him and the other one, your slaves.]
[I, what— you,--- that— how did that happen? I can hardly remember anything.]
[My working hypothesis, is that after I elevated you as a human, something else got elevated as well, something that you have repressed your entire life, what I am referring to, is your subconscious as there seems to be a lot of rage and murderous intent suppressed, But don’t worry, we will work on this, as it seems that this time you have not gone all out, like the first time.]
[ [Or it is a side effect from your experiment?!] ]
[ [Shut your mouth, you were supposed to stop him, not letting him free to do what he wanted in that state, if you are going to do nothing, don’t accuse me on baseless ground.] ]
[ [I am helping him by letting him work through that rage, suppressing him more is just going to make his situation worse.] ]
[So, what are we going to do now?]
[Now, we wait and go back to your village, we need to see how strong are you at the moment, and how fast can you absorb energy, as we need to understand you better, if we are going to formulate a plan, from here on.]
[Alright.]
[---.]
[How long did they say we need to wait?]
[AHHAHaa, already forgotten?]
[God damn it, kid.]
