In the underworld, the strength of each force represented the respect they would receive. Each powerhouse possesses astounding abilities that couldn't be trifled with.
Therefore, each power constantly fights for resources and lands to expand its strengths in order not to be overtaking by its competitors.
Furthermore, in the underworld, there are the Five Great Empires, the Four Major Households, the Thirteen Great Institutes, and as many as Thirteen Grand Clans. Each representing a powerhouse of its own.
There are also The Eight Forbidden lands which were strictly isolated by all unless one had already abandoned his life venturing into with no care of survival. Only with enough strength can it be possible to explore these Forbidden regions but even that held little chances of survival.
As far as Elijah knows, he was currently in one of the Forbidden Lands, the Deadly Volcanic Region. As for the other Forbidden places.
The Desert Of The Dead, The Soul Compassing Waterfall, The Poisonous Icy Plains, The Restricted Forest, The Depths Of Leviathan, The Bloody Sea Region, The Everlasting Fiery Plains, and lastly, The Deadly Volcanic Region.
Among the Eight Forbidden lands, Elijah didn't know which was more dangerous or which was the least he could be less wary of was. But he couldn't get his answers, because according to the information he had gotten from the golden book, all of them possess different landscapes, which made them difficult to tread upon and seemly possessing their strange phenomenon.
It would be a lie if Elijah said he wasn't intrigued how such places could exist in the underworld, and currently thrive in it. But Elijah had seen stranger things, such as a house in limbo, a creature that was only supposed to exist in fantasy. As for the rest, his heart had already become numb from both the shock and surprises.
Elijah examined the other information that he got, although he was much more surprised by the other information he got from the book, which was about the existence of mana. SAmehow he felt excited, after all, who wouldn't be, when stranded in another world that you can't even manage to call your own home, and discovering something you once thought was impossible. Therefore, feeling the existence of magic caused him to be thrilled beyond doubt.
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
But the more he explored the information that he had gotten, the more amazed he was until he stopped just to assimilate and understand what he had just gotten.
According to information Elijah had gone through of what looked like memories, it was the existence of the World tree that left him baffled.
The World tree was like a massive treelike structure that supports this world and holds it together in place. But that wasn't all as Elijah was also aware of something called the realm seed which made things even more complicated.
The realm seed is what determines the birth of a realm, and when a realm is created, a new World tree is born. The World tree is what determines the structure, landscape and beings of how a world is formed, even going as far as determining how each structure is created whether organic or inorganic life. And since all life was formed by the World tree, they each possess a strong connection to it.
But a World tree doesn't necessarily need to possess only one world alone, every branch its forms creates another sub-world of its own, holding them together down to its roots.
Elijah kept on going through the information, and the more Elijah kept digging deeper the more he got tongue-tied. He was currently searching for the 'godly magicraft' that Deltrich spoke about, only now did he find out that the so-called 'godly magicraft' was what mortals used in place of magic.
What a minute! This can't be right, can it?
Summoning the golden book once more, the blinding light that came with its radiance was not Elijah's main source of attraction but something else.
He had wished for nothing else than Deltrich's knowledge, but something doesn't feel right, after searching through his memories, he could finally make a guess but still wasn't sure about his assumptions.
Glancing at the book once more, he began asking specific questions, which were relevant information he needed at the moment.
"Andra the gatekeeper"
""
"Deltrich, he who bears the principality of knowledge"
""
"The 9 overlords that guard the gates of hell"
""
""
""
"Hahahaahahaha" Elijah laughed as he had just realised his mistake.
When he asked for Deltrich's knowledge, he asked to receive whatever he deemed as knowledge. That means if Deltich deemed the ordure of a rodent to be a piece of information more valuable than why there was a building in limbo, then so be it.
As long as you make a memory more important than the rest, it would surely become more valuable since that would make it harder to forget.
Coming to the fact that he had been tricked by an imp, Elijah could only shake his head as he knew there was nothing he could do, even if he knew about it from the beginning.
Well! The only comfort he had was that he was dealing with a human-sized imp, and the fact that Deltrich wasn't stingy was what left him at peace.
He had every single information about the underworld, memories from who knows whom, even knowledge of what lay outside this realm were at the palm of his hands.
But the only ones he needed desperately weren't among them. After asking the golden book several other questions and watching as it gave no reply, Elijah could only sigh as the pieces of information about 'Deltrich', 'Andra', or even that of the earth didn't come up.
Not even the information about 'hell' or the freaking possessed doll, which he knew Deltrich would at least possess some knowledge about.
It seemed anything regarding any of these were blocked, think of it as a restricted file like no matter how you try to get around it, you would still reach the same blockade.
