Chapter 14 : Brewing storms

Suddenly Elijah stopped in his tracks and quickly hid underneath the bushes because in front of him were two wolves that were as big as a grown bear but their characteristics were still that of wolves.

Although the sizes of the wolves were scary, that was not what made Eli scared, because the two huge wolves he was looking at were strong.

Very! Very!! Strong!!!

How did Elijah know they were strong?!

Well because he could feel the magical aura that emitted from these two wolves suffocating him, and that served as the only possible explanation. Elijah immediately hide below behind the trees fast enough that the wolves could not notice him?

He looked at the wolves and noticed that not only were they as big as a bear, but they also reminded him of a film in which wolves were bigger than a car and strange humans that glittered when exposed to sunlight.

But strangely these wolves had manes that were as big as a young lion cub, which was covered in flames with sharp claws that extending freely through their paws, and teeth's that looked like they could pierce through any metal with a bite.

But of course, Elijah currently had enough information to know what kind of beasts it was.

They were beasts with an elemental affinity!

Meaning, that, they were strong on a whole other level!

Elemental affinities were something which a person is born with, indicating they can naturally control the elements they were given with training freely, but that doesn't mean that they are the only ones who could wield an element because if one practices a certain elemental based magicraft that manipulates water, they can of cause naturally summon a surge of water but it would have a very greater effect if it's practised by someone with an affinity for water.

But unfortunately, Elijah currently had no means to check his elemental affinity.

If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

Adding to the fact that they had an elemental affinity, and they were just primitive beasts, though these primitive beats could take his life easily, Elijah then remembered how the beasts were several times stronger than a devil on the same ascendant tier.

Elijah felt his blood racing through his face with a force that was generated from his heartbeat in every breath he took.

He was afraid, not frozen in fear but he was just scared. Picking up his resolve as he steeled his heart with determination, Elijah carefully made his way through the bushes behind the tree, as he was currently shaded underneath the canopy provided by the tree, he watched as the two wolves basked themselves in sunlight, they were beautiful the more Elijah looked at them as he was mesmerized by the way they shone beneath the moonlight.

…..........

…....…

Limbo

A black greyish portal door like structure appeared out of thin air as a giant draped in a black cloak made of unknown materials. His bony feet without flesh or tendons laid bare without sandals on the sandy floors. Looking at the broken abandoned building before him, Andra had sensed a connection with one of his portals above the abandoned building in Limbo. Added to the fact that he never created one in this certain location.

Or did he make a mistake?

It certainly looked like he unintentional opened one here.

"It certainly is a mistake, after all, I made sure to avoid this place specifically" Andra rubbed his forehead with his bony fingers, as today was a long day, and it looked like he would be very busy in the next coming days too.

"Well it was the fault of that damned human that took my time, I should have just done my work correctly instead of starting an insignificant time-consuming chat" Andra scoffed as he thought about the human that almost wasted half his time.

Pushing the gate open, Andra stopped as he heard a very annoying voice.

"Hohohohoho"

"What brings our majestic gatekeeper to my lowly abode" Andra hissed in frustration, as the other half of his bony face scrunched up in annoyance.

"It looks like I'll come back later" he said.

"Ahemmm" Clearing his throat, Deltrich had a smirk on his lips as his tone no longer contained its mischievous traces.

"The grand gatekeeper, able to travel in and out of anywhere he pleases, suddenly appeared on my front door and you expect me not to welcome him"

"Won't I been the one at fault if this news suddenly spreads?" Deltrich said with a chuckle.

"No need for you to worry. I just came here because it looked like I mistakenly opened a portal above your home, and just wanted to be sure if no mishaps had happened when it opened" Andra sighed as he stared at Deltrich dead in the eye.

"Always so serious mr gatekeeper, but I think there had been no mishaps so far as you can see, although I would love to know why I suddenly felt the appearance of so many portals nearby"

"Would you like to explain why is that Mr gatekeeper?" Deltrich said as his face turned serious with every word he spoke.

"I don't have time to explain this to you Deltrich, a lot had happened since you came down here," Andra said as his voice carried a tint of tiredness.

"Don't worry I would make time if you are kin on explaining everything over a Limbo soul grass tea Mr gatekeeper," Deltrich said as he wanted to know what the hell was going on up there.

"If you are so kin on listening to what I have to say Deltrich, then I could assume a human must have come through a portal that suddenly appeared here"

"So I won't ask you this question again Deltrich, where is he?" Andra said as he stopped beating around the bush when dealing with such a mischievous fellow like Deltrich.

"Oohhh"

"How did you know he was a he, for all I know, it could have been a she, don't you think so?" Deltrich said as he suddenly went back to his cheerful behaviour.
