Elijah wasn't sure if he saw a ray of light coming from Deltrich. But he was sure of one thing, that this was no ordinary imp.
Deltrich who was already done with his introduction, saw Elijah looking at him in awe, puffed his chest up in pride.
"I am sure there's nothing you have that I want and nothing you can give that I desire". Deltrich said choosing to break the atmosphere.
"In other words, a deal which I'm sure would be satisfying to both parties"
Elijah who wasn't used to this type of situation scrunched his face up in frustration. He knew Deltrich,' the Imp' wasn't his usual fantasy personage, so he decided to keep his mouth shut and listen to what Deltrich had to say.
"In return, you shall ask me anything you want and I shall offer if it's beneath my power".
Elijah still didn't respond, instead, he waited for the creature to continue with its proposal after all it would be a miracle if it was easy but he knew there was no such thing as an easy way out, so he waited.
''Bring me the heads of all 9 overlords that guards the gates of hell and I shall grant you whatever you desire" Deltrich said.
"Besides you are trapped in limbo, forever unable to see the light of day, so it would do you good to accept my proposal" seeing Elijah still not responding, Deltrich continued as he finished his proposal.
Immediately this sentence was proposed by Deltrich, Elijah was once again stunned. The 9 overlords that guard the gates of hell, 'hell' he just ran away because he saw a freaking possessed doll, now he has to pick whether to bring a head of a being which he has never seen, or be forever trap here in Limbo.
But Elijah's thought did not linger for much as he abandoned the latter and picked the first, after all, they were a still a given chance he could survive, instead of being trap in limbo and he was sure that itself was a sure-fire way to die,

"I accept" Elijah accepted, making up a decision.
"hahahaa hahaha that's marvelous but don't worry I won't send you out yet, after all, I don't want you dying on your first day. As a bonus per the agreement, you can ask me anything ranging from 'Divine artefacts' to 'godly 'magi-crafts'. Anything just ask me what you need'' Deltrich cheerfully said as he released Elijah from his grasp, allowing him to think more freely.
Unfortunately, Elijah's mind had already trailed off from the beginning of Deltrich offers, 'Divine artefacts –godly magi-crafts', he didn't even know what they were and he surely didn't even know which was the weakest or the strongest. 'divine artefacts' he didn't even know if he could wield them, let alone a normal human being such as him couldn't even wield a pistol properly and he was sure all hell that Deltrich wouldn't just bring up a list containing them and read them to him one by one.
Well, he could at least try by asking, but looking at an imp twice his height showing its razor shape tooth as it grinned mischievously, only further cemented the idea that he shouldn't. As though guessing what Elijah was thinking about, Deltrich smile only grew wilder, creating an awkward atmosphere.
Elijah thought hard, and seeing that Deltrich allowed him to take his time, he decided to go with the only available option he could think of.
"I want your knowledge" Elijah said after careful consideration.
"M-M...y Knowle..edge" stumbling for a moment because he didn't think Elijah would give up raw power for the knowledge he possessed. But this was not Elijah being smart after all he had already thought about it weighing both the pros and cons.
He just thought that 'him' possessing the Imps knowledge would be best for his survival, as the Deltrich knew who the huge undead giant was, then also he knew what was going on and might have a way to survive it, and since Deltrich had already promised to get him out of wherever this is and return him home, then all he needed was his knowledge for a chance to escape as he was in no mood to go on an adventure in hell.
You could say he also judged by his instinct while being in a world that he didn't know was strange to him.
Deltrich quickly regained himself and looked at Elijah seriously. "Sure but even if I want to give you my knowledge I am sure there is no way you could handle it".
"Any knowledge that exists is in my grasps, any information is at my disposal"
"For my knowledge is worth the destruction of realms and extinction of worlds"
Wondering if the imp was extravagating or not, Elijah was sure he made the right move, after all, what was the need to bring a gun to a knife fight not fully well knowing your enemy is wearing a bulletproof vest, and let's say you didn't even know how to properly wield a gun.
That may seem like coming in prepared but you are already outmatched before the fight even began so you lost. That was what Elijah thought when he made his decision. After all, why possess a godly magic-craft when your enemy already has divine artefacts, but who is to say that your enemy doesn't already possess both. Knowledge can also be a weapon so Elijah was sure to use it as his life depends on it.
But Elijah was still surprised at how Deltrich quickly accepted and started chanting what looked like spells or so he thought.
"Listen to my words"
"Burn thy knowledge"
"Gifted to thou that seeketh my teachings"
"Thy words are thy truth and thy truth are my words"
"Forged thyself and be known as one"
"Boy I'm about to give you what is most precious to me, 'my knowledge' let them be your shield and weapon, treasure it well for as long as you live. Have this boy, for you possess the knowledge of 'I, Deltrich-the one who bears a Principality''.
