"So a human did come through that portal?" Andra said as his expression got more serious.
"W--ell, I d---idn't say that did I?" Deltrich stammered as he had uttered out some words by mistake.
"Don't play games with me Deltrich, that human that appeared in your home is as important as every other human in Limbo right now, and I'm here to retrieve him back, so I would like it if you told me where he is now?"
"So that's why you opened so many portals in Limbo, I would never have imagined they were for mortals" Andra gulped as he blurted those worlds out by mistake.
"Now I'm interested Andra, I would like to hear what's going on up there before I tell you where that human is" At this point, Deltrich seriously wanted to know what the hell is going on.
Looking at Deltrich, Andra's lips parted as he released a sigh.
"First tell me where he is, then I would tell you what is going?" He said in a tone that he meant his words.
"Well if you are that persistent, he is currently in the underworld," Deltrich said as his eyes avoided Andra's gaze.
".…."
"….."
".….."
"What did you say?"
".…."
"That human that appeared here is currently in the underworld" Deltrich repeated his words one last time.
"..."
"DELTRICH, DON'T PLAY GAMES WITH ME, HOW DID A HUMAN THAT APPEARED HERE GET SENT TO THE UNDERWORLD?" At this point, Andra was filled with rage as he exploded on Deltrich.
"It wasn't my fault, a human suddenly appeared on my doorstep"
If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
"So you sent him to the underworld?" Andra hissed as he stared at Deltrich.
"My hands were tied okay, besides it was the closest realm nearby" Deltrech cleared his throat as he said in a calm voice.
"There is a war brewing Deltrich, one that we have never seen before, the gods are at each other's neck, with several pantheons breaking their peace treaty with conflict been the root of the problem"
"DO YOU UNDERSTAND NOW DELTRICH? Zeus is dead, Olympus is lit in chaos".
"The valkyries had suddenly carried onslaught on the territory of several other pantheons as it looks like Odin has lost his control over them".
"And now there is a rumour, do you want to know what it says?" Andra looked at Deltrich as he wanted to tear him up at this very moment.
Deltrich gulped as he replied.
"What does it say?"
"Lucifer has escaped from hell" It was suddenly Deltrich turn to swallow back his words as he stared in disbelief.
"But that's not all" Andra said as his voice turned cold.
If the rumours are true, then archangel Michael should be on his tail by now"
"I can't confirm how true these rumours are, but right now, heaven is in chaos, with several gods looking for a chance to launch an attack"
"I don't know what bringing several humans to Limbo might connect with all this, but right now that is my task Deltrich, and I would complete them without any failures".
"But isn't it quite funny" Andra said as he looked at Deltrich with a face full of mockery.
"The so-called principality of knowledge doesn't know what has transpired in the outside world"
"I wonder what the other principalities would think of this, but isn't it quite a disgrace for you not to keep up to your magnificent title" At this point, Deltrich stared at Andra as he gnashed his teeth in frustration.
Sigh!
"Anyway I should get going, my tasked isn't complete till I bring that human back to Limbo" Andra said as he had rubbed his forehead in frustration.
"I hope you would stop bringing me more problems Deltrich, see you later old friend" Creating a portal out of thin air, Deltrich stared in silence as Andra walked through the warped portal.
Staring at the barren land that stretched far and wide.
Deltrich slowly closed the gates, as a voice not loud but audible enough for the gentle breeze to carry them along with the words that escaped his lips.
"If only that human wasn't so overly cautious"
Sigh!
"Don't you fail me, boy"
The gates laid shut as the once tense atmosphere returned to its original state.
…....…..
Meanwhile, Elijah had no idea about the ongoing situation he had indirectly caused, but, he also didn't have the luxury of staying much longer as the wolves suddenly stopped what they were doing and looked in his direction, although they didn't see anybody, they were demonic beasts who trusted their noses more than their sight, so when they sniffed the strange scent that had permeated their surroundings, they knew they weren't alone.
Following the trail of the scent until they found where it came from, primitive demonic beasts with elemental affinity were much stronger than ordinary primitive beasts on the same rank, coupled with their innate traits and abilities they were far more dangerous than normal.
Meaning that when Elijah saw they had figured out his location at the time, there was only one thought currently in his head which he could think of.
Run!
Elijah ran fleeing for his life, disregarding the thought of staying any longer as he knew he was no match for these beasts.
Elijah dashed through beneath the trees as he ran for his life, making sure not to trip on any tree roots that were sticking out from the ground, yet he stopped himself from stepping over numerous branches as each step had alerted the wolves that had already picked up his scent. Even though he had already gained the upper hand in terms of distance, Elijah didn't dare diminish his steps until he was out of danger.
Yet even that wasn't enough as the wolves ran after him, they pursued him as their claws pulled up dirt from the ground sprinting ahead to dissect Elijah from head to toe for trespassing into their territory.
But Elijah wasn't going to just stand there and watch, Heightening his senses that had only been increased by several folds, Elijah fixated his sight on the direction of the flowing river as he sprinted over ahead with full force. The wolves seeing the river up ahead determined their prey was trying to take an escape route, which they couldn't let happen.
