Going to sleep Noah had such "Luck" and slept next to Jay.
'Hopefully, he doesn't get too touchy,' Noah thought to himself. He fell asleep and in his dream he saw images of his mother, a bullet sound, himself falling and a voice screaming his name.
...
Everything was so blurred when Felix tried to clear his sight, he looked at a face. That face was one of a boy with platinum blond hair, icy blue eyes, and a mole on the right corner of his eye. He was crying, saying his name over and over again while hugging him very tight as if he would never let go. After a few moments, he was angry and faced in the direction of where his mother stood.
"Are you finally satisfied? Shooting your own son, does it bring pleasure? Would it bring pleasure if you knew, that he tried his best to never do anything to actually hurt people? Does it feel good that you deemed the evidence against his father, as invalid? Are you even a mother?" he vengefully screamed at her.
Felix was confused, who was that guy and why did he feel so familiar?
He heard his mother answering the guy before him.
"Why should I feel anything about it? Felix was just like his father fabricating evidence, and bribing all of the people he apparently freed and let go of. I said he deserved it, maybe in his next life, he will be not as unfortunate to be born into a family that is full of crime. I didn't shoot him as a mother, I shot him as the Lieutenant in charge," she said indifferently.
Felix was distraught and at the same time, he was happy. Since he now knew that his mother only wished the best for him in his next life.
But the guy above him didn't think so, he seemed amused in a really bad way.
"I pity him, your son I mean. He always tried to be the perfect little boy, risking his head, if not his life to prove it to you. How he always told me, that he didn't want to do these things, but being forced into it every day. Collecting evidence to prove it, collecting evidence to live a crime-free life, and don't forget the little snitching as to where some of the hideouts were. What did you do? The evidence he spent his years collecting? Invalid. The snitching to the police and the FBI? He is lying. The computer he gave you where the evidence was stored, that he really was the informant? Destroyed by your team. And now his life? Almost taken by his own mother, whom he tried to impress so hard. Everyone turned against him, first, it was you, then it was his father, then Terrance, and finally his mother again. How does it feel to be trusted by him twice and then you shoot him in the back quite literally?" he said menacingly.
The guy above him now looked right at him, Felix's tears ran down his face without him knowing.
The guy smiled sadly "I told you. It's only me now and it will be me by your side forever. If in death or the afterlife. So don't think about dying, I left you alone for too long."
He looked in the direction of Mrs. Sterling, "Don't even think about following us. I will get him to the hospital and you raven mother will stay here." He picked Felix up and walked toward a car. Felix felt a kiss on his forehead and heard, "Don't worry I will not leave you anymore. When you wake up we'll go to an Island just for us alone." Felix lost consciousness and woke up next to Jay, who had been looking at him for who knows how long.
...
Noah was startled and sprung up.
Jay chuckled winked at him, "You are pretty cute when you sleep."
Now sitting Noah looked at Jay, "Oh, good morning Jay."
While internally thinking 'What a creep.' Jay seemed a little disappointed after only getting a startle out of him, getting up from the makeshift mattress.
Jay told Noah, "Wake up slowly, I'm going to the toilet." Noah watched as he walked out the door. Now properly sitting, he looked around to see who else was awake. With Jay out of the room normally Ben, Zenix, and Ray should still be inside. But Noah only saw Ben and Zenix who seemed to still talk about the dairy of Ben's sister. Uninterested, Noah stood up and walked outside, the janitor's closet was shut and the room the girls and teacher Zeana resided in, was not fully shut.
He heard voices coming through the door, "I will not be your girlfriend! No matter how much you ask, I know that I will probably never see Béa again. Heck, she is probably dead for I know, but we've only broken up for four Months. What if she is still alive? Maybe we could get back together again." Cindy's voice came through the door. Noah was curious because gossip is gossip and such information could always be useful. Especially if he were to help them get together.
"You two wouldn't have broken up, if you were just going to be back together a few months after. And to be honest, everyone knew she was playing you. They said that it was funny that the little princess was dating the goddess Béatrice. The goddess with red curly hair and brown eyes."
Lea rolled her eyes hard as she said the next sentence in disgust, "She was playing the whole school left and right. But that doesn't matter anymore, after all, she is probably dead. Why are you still crying after her? Cindy, we've been friends since we were like what? Eleven? I know you more than she will ever. I will love you more too and you know that."
Lea said through the door in a tearful cry, it sounded as if she were to break down then and there. There was silence on the other side of the room. Just as Noah wanted to get closer an arm swung on his shoulders.
"Spying on relationship drama, are we? I know it's tempting, but we shouldn't do that. With Lea's strength ability, we'd be in the ground faster than we could say the word "zombie", Ben said and slowly led him away from the classroom the girls were sleeping in.
Being in the classroom where they were spending most of their time, Ben let Noah's shoulders go and walked to Jay. He was standing near the window and looked more at Noah, than Ben who was walking towards him.
Noah just felt uncomfortable near Jay, but of course, he just smiled at Jay and walked toward the locker in the back, where Roy stood yesterday. It was on the left side of the classroom. Speaking of which Roy wasn't in their sleeping room, but he isn't in here either. The only people here right now are Ben, Jay, himself, Zeana, and Loraine. Zenix is still in their sleeping room and Cindy and Lea are having a relationship discussion. So either Ted and Roy are hanging out with one another in the janitor's closet or they're somewhere else. The classroom they were in right now, was at least more intact than others. There were no broken windows, the tables stood against the windows and a few chairs stood circle-like, in the middle of the room. But there were a few boarded-up windows. And now that he looked around, Noah saw that there was something written on the blackboard, it was a bucket list. Things like food, water, disinfectant, and more were on it. And the masks, First-Aid-Kid, and makeshift weapons were ticked off.
Jay seemed to have finished talking with Ben and came to see Noah. Noah focused his attention on Jay and smiled at him.
Jay smiled back, "So since your story is, for the most part consistent, with what you told us. Shall I catch you up on all that has been happening?" Noah nodded his head while smiling at Jay. He smiled back at him and patted Noah's head, "Well, where do I start? Two months ago this whole thing started, as you stated a virus broke out and everyone was in a panic. A whole lot of students and teachers ran outside. The others are on the other side of the school, but the pathway there collapsed in the middle of it. Whether the people over there are alive or dead we don't know. About a week later. I, Ben, Zenix, and Lea had this classroom to ourselves. A few students who were out of breath Ted, Roy, and Cindy came through the door. They showed us that they weren't bitten anywhere and we let them stay. They were the ones who brought food, so we weren't going to send them away. What after that? I think Ben had a fever and gained powers, but I forgot how that happened."

Ben walked towards Jay and Noah, "It's always the important things you forget. Well, we had a very weird day outside it was raining, or it looked more like little pieces of glass were falling everywhere. And when I touched it, it had a consistency like quicksilver, but it was transparent like water. A few hours after I touched it, I developed a fever and I thought I was done for."
Jay smiled sadly, "Yeah, we all did. Zeana was with us for only two days but was screaming left and right how dangerous it was, how we should just leave him be or better throw him to the other zombies. We couldn't do that though, he was our friend and Zenix, as much as they joke around with being a loving couple-"
Ben interrupted him, "It's called BROMANCE. Thank you very much."
Jay rolled his eyes, "Bromance, they are as close as brothers. He was the one, who was against the idea of throwing out Ben, to fight for himself the most. We all believed that Ben could get through it and when he woke up he had hands full of lightning. We-"
Ben interrupted again, "It was the best feeling in the world, at first it tickled and then I felt it going through my veins. I felt like nothing could hurt me and then like this was what I have been looking for my whole life."
Jay looked at Ben, "Don't interrupt me again, Ben. Yes, after we saw that Ben wasn't a zombie and had these powers. We thought it was a blessing in disguise, but shortly after that we made this classroom our HQ and freed the classrooms and the closet, Ted uses, from zombies to sleep in. We were about eight at that time and Zeana didn't want to lift a finger to help us." Zeana looked over as her name was said, but then raised her nose in digust.
With a judging gaze Jay looked at Zeana's side profile, "So she didn't get food, anyone who doesn't work isn't allowed to get food. We gave her water so she didn't starve, but that's about it. We found a radio and Loraine five days after that, since then Zeana has been on radio duty."
Ben nodded, "She didn't want to do anything dangerous, so we gave her the radio job. With Loraine it was hard, not to bring the whole team in danger, Jay and Lea saved her from a lot of zombies. So many that they got scratched and had a fever. We thought now they really transformed, so we locked them in a room together. But we were surprised when they had powers just like me. So now we think maybe it has to do, with the willpower to live or the endurance to cope with the pain you feel."
Jay pressed his lips together, "Yeah it was so damn painful. Lea and I were the only ones after Ben who got them. As we know it, the others don't have such powers. And-"
Ben interrupted Jay's sentence again, "Only we three have them. I have the thunder, Lea has strength enhancement and Jay has healing stuff."
Jay looked at Ben, "I said, DON'T INTERRUPT ME. BEN." Jay's hand went up and hit the back of Ben's head. Ben howled and patted the back of his head.
"Sorry," he muttered.
Jay signed, "AND we began to make a taskboard as you see over there."
He pointed to the blackboard.
"Last week Zeana overheard on the radio that rescues will come. But also said that they take ability and the most useful first. Under useful was listed woman, science-gifted people, doctors, farmers, and children. Over the radio, they said to make a big SOS on the rooftop so that they could find us. So we are in the process of doing that and also clearing most of the rooms here. So that we can bring a bit of food with us and not get bored," Jay explained.
"And not to forget, yesterday you came to us. Like you just spawned in school, spawned... Oh, how I miss my games," Ben said sadly and walked over to Zenix, who just come through the door. Jay smiled at Noah and put a hand on his head.
He patted Noah for some time, before letting go "Your hair is soft, so nice to touch. You know the apocalypse can get pretty lonely, if you're up for it maybe we can destroy some zombies together. You know, in a room where there aren't many, just you and me. Getting to know each other better?"
Felix was so uncomfortable, but he was the sweet innocent Noah. Noah has been love-deprived ever since his aunt died and he had to live in an Orphanage that abused him. So although Felix would love to punch him and say don't get too touchy. He is in Noah's body, so he obviously can't do that. So Noah nodded his head shyly and avoided eye contact with him. Jay felt euphoric and smiled a very bright smile.
"Perfect, so how about in the afternoon? You and I go last, the group to make sure that the rooms where zombies should be cleared are really cleared and clean. And maybe get supplies by the way. How does it sound? Perfect right? Right. See ya then," Jay decided for himself and excitedly ran towards Ben and Zenix. Noah watched as Jay made heavy hand gestures to Ben and Zenix while looking at Noah occasionally.
Noah waved with his hand and thought to himself, "Not even asking me, nice. He sounds and looks like the dorky character, in a teenage movie. But somehow I think he's creepy and weird. Why is he touching my head so often and why the hell was he watching me sleep this morning? I hope I don't get sexually harassed if we are together this afternoon."
Noah then watched the trio of Ben, Jay, and Zenix go outside again. Leaving Noah with Zeana and Loraine.
'Great,' he thought to himself again. Zeana and Loraine now finally had the opportunity to talk to Noah alone, of course, they had to take it.
Loraine was the first to stand before Noah, "I overheard that little conversation, so you gay now? How nice and you heard what he said! They protected me BECAUSE I'M ACTUALLY IMPORTANT. Not like someone else who only came here yesterday!"
Loraine laughed and Zeana came up behind her, "Well to think they believed your little act yesterday. Now say the truth Noah Valentine, I know very clearly that you wouldn't know stuff like chemicals. The only thing you were good at, was getting punched, spit on, and of course being a crybaby the whole time. You even came to me once, to make them stop saying those awful words to you. But seriously why would I do that? It's my job to teach. I shouldn't worry about your well-being and certainly not disturb something you deserved."
Now they both laughed in glee at the unfortunate Noah.
Noah furrowed his brows, "Of course, it's your job. After all, this is something that happens in your class, because of these things a student can't learn or could you learn under such conditions?"
Zeana looked at Noah disgustingly, "No, and why would I? I was the most popular in High School and I was the one to do it to others as well. The students can't learn because of this, you are the problem no? If you wouldn't be in that class, then of course all students could learn." Noah was so mad on the inside, the audacity this Teacher had. He had to calm down, but this bitch is a teacher. Noah may have had a frightened and guilty look on his face. But inside he was cooking, thinking about how to murder her right now.
'It's best not to think about it. After all his Mother couldn't forgive him. Ever,' he thought to himself and just bit his lip in frustration.
"I always knew that you weren't qualified to teach anyone," came a voice from the door, it was Ted. They were standing there and looking rather annoyed.
Zeana signed "Ted you're such a good boy, you don't know what you're talking about."
"I'M NOT A BOY AND NEITHER AM I A MAN. I AM A PERSON, WHO DOESN'T FALL INTO EITHER MAN OR WOMAN. MY PRONOUNS ARE THEY/THEM AND IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO SAY, SAY MY NAME OR YOU," Ted screamed at the top of their lungs.
Roy came in this very second and hugged Ted, "Zeana how often, have we told you to respect Ted and their choices? Everyone else can do it. Why can't you?"
Zeana looked like she had swallowed a fly, "You kids these days, he is a man he has the genitalia for it, doesn't he?"
"THEY use the right pronoun. BITCH," Roy said menacingly and walked outside again with Ted. He comforted Ted the whole way out.
'So she's a homophobe and doesn't respect anyone. She will live the shortest lifespan here right?' Noah thought.
