There’s that blue haired man again. I wonder who he is? Obviously, he’s a friend of Thorn’s somehow but where did he come from. Thorn has always been a loner. After the death of his family, he isolated himself from everyone. So much so that my father and the hunt chief decided he was a liability. Now that this man has shown up Thorn has become far more active in his duties. I should keep an eye on him just in case he’s a threat to the village.
Walking back to my realm I couldn’t stop reading the data from the scan I made of myself.
Scan Results
Creature - Will of the World, Demigod, God of Creation, Divine, Dungeon Master
Combat Type - Druid, Enchanter, Assassin
Threat Level - Unknown
Reading these results, I could impart my own creature data to my dungeon defenders. I probably shouldn’t give them my Demigod or God of Creation subtypes just to prevent any sort of major global changes. But Divine and Will of the World. Those I can work with. I also noticed my Combat Type Assassin and Threat Level Unknown. Those confused me. Sure, I saw myself as more of a druid and enchanter but an Assassin? I’m still on the fence about that. Then we have the Unknown. I guess I could also understand that given that I’m a sort of reincarnated God. The god that created the planet and all the creatures living on it now. Thinking more about it. I guess it made some sense.
Tossing those thoughts to the side for now I focused on what I could do with the Divine and Will of the World Creature types and how they would affect my goblins. Divine creatures typically have strong bodies with some sort of survival traits built in and are usually strong with magic. So, assuming I gave the goblins the Divine subtype they would probably have some sort of regeneration, access to light and dark magic. Now Will of the World is more vampiric in nature as it simply adds to existing traits the creature type already has. Only changing some of the things they need to survive. Like how vampires need blood, replacing normal food. The Will of the Worlds needs souls. That fact alone could hamper my growth, needing to split the amount of nourishment I get when hunting with any of my defenders. Resolved, I decided to add only the Divine subtype to my goblins, only adding Will of the World to any who earn it.
I was only about halfway back to my realm when I noticed the forest was quiet. That normally meant there was a predator in the area if my memory serves me right. So, I decided to make a turn leading in another direction. On a whim I cast Fog in my area, then entangle right behind me, Boom Shroom surrounding the entangled area, and then Flight on myself. Spending more than half my magic in one go. I leapt into the air, quickly looping around to see if anything had been following me. Before I made a full circle, I heard an explosion from one of my mushrooms. Suspicions confirmed I sped up finishing my counterattack. I saw two elven people. One a man who seemed to be the one to detonate my mushroom. Laying on the ground covered in deep burns. He had long blond hair, a full set of leather armor, a bow strapped to his back, and what looked like a single edged great sword laying on the ground next to him. The other was a young woman with vibrant orange hair. Like the color of fall leaves, equipped with a wand in one hand and a dagger in the other. She wore light green robes and was currently thrashing around in my vines. Desperately trying to free herself, to no success.
I hadn’t seen them before, so I was a bit cautious, but on the other hand they clearly looked like they came from the village. I slowly approached the woman letting the fog disperse.

“Who are you and why are you following me?”, I said to the young woman. My eyes glowing green with magic unbeknownst to me.
With a shaky voice she said, “We are from the village of Forest Rain. I saw you leave and decided to follow you. I’d never seen you before, so I decided to follow you. Please let us go. We meant you no harm.”
Never having heard the village name before, I assumed they were from the same village as Thorn.
“If you meant me no harm why did this man have his sword drawn and why do you have your weapons drawn as well? Choose your next words wisely young lady. Though I have friends in the village. I’m no friend to the village. If you lie to me again, they may be the last words you ever speak.”, I said, voice rising as the winds began to lift me higher into the air and the weather seemed to change from sunny to stormy.
Trembling, she said, “I saw that you’d been in the village with Thorn a few times. He has no friends or family in the village. I was worried that you might be a threat to us. I wanted to follow you and see where you went. Then he said that you’d noticed us and drew his sword. So, I did the same, not sure if you were going to attack us or not. The next thing I knew the sky got foggy and he stepped on some kind of mushroom that exploded putting him in the state he’s currently in. When that happened, these vines grabbed me up and then you showed up. I know it looks suspicious, but I swear to you I mean you no harm.”
Tears now streaming down her face she pleaded with me. Fear, plain to see in her eyes. They were not the eyes of a killer but those of a young girl who’s in way over her head. One who’s now afraid for her life. The thoughts of my fellow gods flashed through my mind for a moment before I calmed down and released the girl. Once I reached the ground, I gave the man one of my potions to heal his wounds and he regained consciousness quickly after that.
Realizing the situation, he was in, the man scrambled to his feet. Quickly grabbing his sword. Pointing it in my direction. Raising an eyebrow, I looked at the girl and nodded my head in the warrior’s direction.
“No harm?”, I said to her with a questioning tone.
Without missing a beat, she shouted at the man who seemed confused. He clearly didn’t understand why she was yelling at him. But he knew one thing for sure: this man was dangerous. Staring each other down. Me with my scythe and him with his sword, we were about to lunge at each other when a soft fist came crashing down on the back of the warrior's head.
“Don’t be stupid, He had already won the fight. Then he used one of his potions to heal you. Don’t be ungrateful Halvar!”, she said to the warrior now known as Halvar.
He said to the young mage, “Lady Evalina! This man is clearly dangerous. He needs to be dealt with right away before he causes problems that can't be fixed later. He even attacked us unprovoked. More concerning is that I’ve never seen someone like him before. What's to say he isn’t a spy seeking to take over our village? I’m sorry, my lady, but I cannot follow your orders in this matter. You can either help me deal with this threat or you can sit the fight out. Either way he is going to be dealt with. Now!”
I had already drunk the lone mana potion I had so I was at full mana. It was a good thing I did so because it didn’t look like he was going to give me any choice but to fight him. I readied my weapon and prepared a spell. The moment he was done speaking he dashed in my direction swinging that massive sword with surprising speed and skill.
Not ready for it. He managed to score a cut on my cheek, drawing a bit of blood. I still had flight active, so I leapt into the air casting fog once again. Followed by Boom Shroom scattered around the ground. I then began firing off Wind Blades in his direction, scaring the earth with each pulse of wind that left my hand. All of which he managed to dodge by nimbly leaping around narrowly avoiding the exploding spoors. Not wanting to give him more opportunities to kill me I flew off into the trees gathering a large handful of leaves scattering them through the air. Quickly I cast Bioluminescence on them using the distraction they brought to change my position. He was about to dash off deeper into the fog when he found my blade of pure wind less than an inch from his throat. Poised to remove his head from his shoulders.
Silence hung in the air for a moment before he dropped his sword and slowly raised his hands in the air. Signaling his surrender.
