Sitting in a chair of pure white I look down at my universe. Worlds of many kinds are filled with life. Most of those life forms did not come from me. Unlike my divine brothers, I do not enjoy the process of creating “Plantation Worlds”, and the “Idyllic Worlds”. The latter a world filled with life suited to their creator's taste and the former worlds filled with low intelligence creatures that reproduce quickly only for their creator to harvest them in great numbers to collect their souls in an attempt to increase their Divine Rank.
I enjoy creating diverse worlds filled with all manner of life and once I’ve done so I take a hands-off approach and let them progress on their own. I enjoy watching the development so much I frequently disguise myself as a member of one of the races and travel among them. The process is simple. I shave off a small piece of my soul placing it in a life form I created just for the purpose of exploring that world. Once it dies my consciousness slips back to my body in the heavens. By doing so I’ve learned so much about mortality and morality. I understand now the feeling of being weak, the desire for growth, and the thrill of achieving one's goals through one's own means. Every day I discover something new and exciting, and I love it.
As it turns out, so does my creator. He on many occasions pretends to be one of us or one of our creations observing his work and ours. I discovered this by spotting one of the other gods watching me with the same excitement in their eyes as I have when I spend time in one of my worlds. Noticing this I confronted our creator and he just laughed disappearing in a flash. Though over a few millennia I saw him more and more and eventually we began comparing notes and sharing in our love of the sheer creativity we all seem to possess. Marveling at how two creatures with the exact same abilities and environment can be so drastically different. It has been nearly 200 million years since we began chatting in earnest and today is no different than any of those.
Today I created a new creature. It's a form of spirit called a Will-O-Wisp but one housed inside living flesh. It has the ability to halt my growth as a god but only if it were to destroy all the worlds I created. Collecting souls as I do, using it as fuel for its own growth and reproduction. It looks close to a human with some unique characteristics. Faint blue hair and pale skin. Eyes as green as the most verdant forest and it has a special magic called creation magic. Similar to my own power Order of Magical Law. It has the ability to create whatever spell it wants. Though it takes more time and effort to perform this act. But it can make spells that it intends to use then use the spell much quicker than creating one on the fly. I’m naming this creature, “Will of the World”. One day I hope it can join us in the heavens as a god itself.
Placing the spirit in the deep forest creating land to be its territory I carve off a piece of my soul and begin to place it inside of my new creation. As my mind slowly reaches the body of the creature, I hear the sound of glass breaking back where my body is. Concerned I try to draw my attention back to my surroundings but can’t. Confused, I tried again to no avail. Pacing back and forth in the cave I just created for my creature I try to figure out what happened. The only reason I wouldn’t be able to view the surroundings of my body is if it was isolated from me somehow or my body no longer existed. Before I began to panic, I tried to use my Divine ability Eye of Omnipresence and finally see the room I was in before I moved into my new creature.

What I saw sent chills down my spine. There my body lay on the ground leaking golden blood. Pooling on the ground around my pure white body beside a basin of starry black water. Around me are 10 other figures of pure radiance. Their magnificent figures stained by the color of my blood splattered along their figures. I recognized them right away. They are what the other gods call the council. The 10 highest ranked gods among all the other gods. Each holds a Divine rank of S which is incredibly difficult to achieve. I was the only god to exceed S Rank. I was SSS and with this new creature I was about to Make the rank of Divine One. Which would have put me as an equal to our creator. They must have killed me in an attempt to raise their own ranks. Which I'm sure they are now SS rank due to the vast number of souls they are sure to collect from devouring my worlds.
I stood there filled with a sense of shock, rage, sadness, and betrayal. Those 10 were supposed to be my friends. I spent thousands of years helping each of them develop their domains, cultivating unique traits for their creatures, eco systems for them to live in, and ways for the worlds within their domain to connect to each other in a myriad of ways. All to help them grow to the SSS Rank. Each of them, however, failed to reach my rank due to their impatience and the mass culling of their creations. Once you reach S rank, souls aren't the only thing you need to evolve. You needed developed souls, ones that grew beyond the status granted to them from our involvement. Failing to harvest enough on their own, I guess they decided to take mine. And the only way they could do that was to kill me. So, they could devour my creations. It wouldn't be long now. Soon I’ll fade from this creature and parish and the countless eons I spent sculpting my domain will vanish with me.
I sat down along the edge of the cave wall and waited for my demise. I waited for what felt like days, but nothing happened. I could no longer access a visual of my room in the heavens, but it shouldn’t have taken this long. Yes, for them to consume all my creations sure that will take with all of them working together roughly 100,000 years but not to collect my soul. That should have only taken hours a day at most. Something is wrong. Trying to focus on my powers I could still see that I had all of them, strange. Even stranger is that I couldn’t access any of them. As I was about to stand up and try to get a firmer grasp on them a flash of light manifested before me only to wink out just as quickly as it came. There stood a young human boy no older than 12. Dressed in a black robe with the cosmos twirling about its folds with a trim of pure light.
He spoke, “Hello Savas. Before you start asking questions let me finish. I prevented the destruction of your soul. Granting them a duplicate of sorts, giving each of them the power that they would have gained by consuming you, but I couldn't bear to watch you die. You were my greatest creation and evenly became my friend. I’ve sealed away your powers granted to you by me for a time leaving you only with what was necessary for your continued existence. Live among your people and find a way into their domains and take revenge for what they have done. I do not condone actions like this, and it isn’t the first time this has happened with them. Rather than smiting them myself I find it would be fitting for the one they plotted against for so long to come back and strip them of their power one by one. This I think will have a greater impact on the others and act as an even greater deterrent than me just coming in to clean it up. Take as much time as you need for, I have granted this 1 creature of yours the Perfect Body trait. Good luck my friend. I hope you succeed.”
With those last words he vanished. Leaving me to my own thoughts. There was no doubt that he was my creator as he was the only one who knew my name, but I knew all the others. I’ll do as he asks and become the reaper god and clean up this massive mess.
