Not sure how long it took but it was deep into the night before Andrew returned to the village. Although it seemed like he was lucky since the dead boar did not attract the attention of any other wild animal, he still sustained scratches from thorns and other things when getting down to the village. He was way exhausted when he got to the village as he had to clean up the signs of dragging the boar which was made while he was taking it down to the village and due to the curfew imposed owing to the warring times, there was no shop open and every family were inside their houses either resting or talking.
It seemed like a deserted village if not for the light still being seen on from different houses.
The village wasn't too large but big enough to fit some odd five hundred people. Most of the men went out to do all the food gathering from hunting to gathering herbs from outside the village. If you were able to own a farm in this village that goes to show that you are very rich. There were just three farms in the village with one being for the village head, Cornelius and the other two being owned by the wealthiest man in the village, Paul. They have several labourers under them whom till their lands, plant and harvest the crops.
Getting back to the village Andrew locates the remote area in which he has been living in. He doesn't rest immediately and instead finds some dry wood to start a fire, cleans the location and tries to find something sharp to skin the boar. "Well I guess I did make do with this", he says to himself while looking at the knife he tied to his waist which he used initially to cut up the boar.
He first digs up a place to hide the coins before someone comes to where he was due to the smoke. After he hides the coins he stole, he sighs in relief then looks towards the boar and says to himself, "Well, here comes the hardest part", before starting to cut the boar. He tries his hardest to remove the hair from the boar using the fire, then he drains the blood to the best of his abilities to prevent the meat from being rotten quickly then he cuts them into smaller parts to make it easier for carrying then dries them all by the fire. The guards patrolling the village saw the fire but on getting to the site and seeing what Andrew was doing they were shocked. He was so skilful with what he was doing like he has practised a lot of times. Well, he has at a point just that it was in his former life. Among the odd jobs, he performed to strive by the day, butchering, skinning and tanning animals were among them.
Greed almost had the guards steal the boar but seem like they had a bit of conscience as they let Andrew be and continued their duties of patrolling. Andrew noticed their gazes and although he wasn't used to killing didn't mind putting them down just to survive another day. He wasn't just about to waste this second chance he has been given by being a goody two shoes.
He works a lot longer than he expected since he is young and frail and doesn't have the required strength to do it efficiently and quickly. It was almost dawn before he was through with it all. He has dried all the meat he got from the boar.

He rested for a bit until when the sun was out before going out to the market to try selling his meat. The villagers were shocked about how and where he got the meat from but seems like he hasn't stolen it since nobody has said anything about anything being stolen, hence they all stopped bothering about his business.
Andrew wasn't able to sell anything at first because of suspicions of people no matter how loud he hollered at the villagers until it was deep into the afternoon before a customer came to buy from him. Such quality meat is rare to find, after all, the buyer happens to be the steward of Paul, the richest man in the village. He bought all the meat from Andrew in one go at the price of fifteen silvers. This could get Andrew a lot of things. The conversion rate was a bit different from the norms, a hundred bronze coins can be exchanged for a piece of silver, a hundred silver for a piece of gold and vice versa. So he already has fifteen hundred bronze coins equivalent with him right now.
Packing up, he stands off, ties the money on a makeshift purse then set off to the forest. This time not to hunt but for wood, he wants to try his hands at building an apartment for himself. Although he sold most of the boar meat, he still kept some hidden just for his feeding. Although he still hasn't eaten, he is used to such a situation from his previous life and although might inhibit his work but it won't be to a large extent.
Before he goes to the forest, he buys an axe, some ropes, clothes(his only piece of clothing is what he is putting on right now) and a hoe spending up to thirty bronze pieces. He branches off to drop his clothes at a place he dug up to hide stuff before going off to the forest for the day's work.
He finds some wood quickly, and with his young body, he starts working. After doing enough work for that day, he eats some herbal soup made by him from some herbs he gathers up from the forest with a little piece of dried meat. Building the house takes him up to a week and the space he was using didn't cause him any conflict with the villagers since it was almost at the outpost of the village where security was thin and there was a danger of wild animals attacking.
You did think he was bold building his house over there but while building his wooden house, he lays traps along the way for preventive measure although not enough to kill most wild animals, it would at the very least alert him of the danger ahead so that he could escape before they got to him.
During these few days, while he gathers wood for building his house, he was able to catch a rabbit which was bigger than the norm, the size of the rabbit scared him and he was almost killed by it but in the end, through the help of the terrain and some traps, he was able to kill it and its meat was added to his meat collection. He also purchases some guides for herb collection.
Although the house would not be enough to resist a strong storm, it was enough for him to keep him sheltered from the rain and sun, and also to keep him warm at night.
It has completed a month since he has come into this world and he has gotten pretty accustomed to this lifestyle for a bit. He doesn't spend much, his old habit of being stingy to himself still guides him.
Today waking up, he realizes that he is not using this new chance for the best. He vowed to not be poor anymore but there have not been any improvements in his living style in the village. He eats meat most of the time with some vegetable stew, although good enough for the average man in the village he didn't want to be restricted to anything or place. He didn't just want to become great in the village but this world. He didn't want to have his fate decided by anyone based on their mood or feelings. He wanted to grab his fate with his hands.
