A warm porridge was brought before him after the doctor left, and that was when he finally look back to the people before him. There was a new unfamiliar face before him and from what Marian has initially told him, he guessed this would be the general who has come to their rescue.
Even though it was fairly in the morning, Olivia was still dressed very seductively, she had that air around her that seems to very much contradict what she was. At one time she appeared like a seductress, at another time a charming and beautiful woman, at another a young innocent woman you couldn’t help but want to protect, at times she carried the air of nobility and at another, had a cold persona.
Andrew was shocked at her appearance but wasn’t interested in her. What went through his head at this moment was that, ‘She is not a virgin’. He came to this conclusion just from looking at her. He must have a hypocritical personality. “Why are you staring at me like that young boy? Are you smitten by my beauty?”, Olivia asks with a beautiful smile on her face.
But Andrew just snorts at her, then turns his face away from her. This was by no way an attitude you give to those who had saved you but he didn’t seem to care.
“What a feisty kid we have over here”, Olivia says with an amused expression not caring about his attitude towards her.
“Can you feed me?”, he says towards Marian, not paying any attention towards Olivia any longer, to which Marian quickly nods her head.
Since he had made his judgment of her and wasn’t interested in losing his virginity to someone who wasn’t a virgin, he just decides to pay no further attention to her.
Eve has an awkward face from the way Andrew treated Olivia, from the way he was behaving, he seems to hate the fact that he was even talking to her. Marian pays it all no heed and just feeds Andrew. Although the action of her cooling the food before feeding Andrew was unnecessary, she still insists on doing it.
Andrew gulps down every spoon fed to him without any hesitation with warmth in his eyes towards Marian. He doesn’t pay attention to anything else and at this point, it just feels like only he and Marian exists in this place. Eve on noticing this was sulking and couldn’t help rethinking the relationship that these two people shared. Her thoughts go wild to the point of even imagining them having sex on multiple situations, and on having such thoughts, she becomes more annoyed and just walks off leaving Olivia with them.
After he was through eating, Andrew lovingly says to Marian, “Thanks”. Marian just blushes while making a “hmm” sound.
“Finished with your romantic meal?”, Olivia's voice sounds off at this moment annoyed. ‘This boy should have heard how he was saved seeing that he is not too shocked at my appearance and there isn’t even a bit of gratitude on his face and instead he treats me with derision’, was what went through her head.
She felt like Andrew had great galls to be in a military camp and still be behaving this way. But she still underestimates Andrew as his next words were like adding fuel to an already existing city-burning fire.
“Huh. Old hag you are still here?”, Andrew asks right off the bat as if he was inquisitive about that particular question. His face made him seem like he was asking how her night went. He doesn’t stop there though as he continues with more crazy questions, “You haven’t gone? Or do you have the hobby of going for younger guys? But as you can see am injured and I don’t think that I can handle your type of person. I would turn to a dried corpse in no time if I had a go with you. So please spare me”, he finishes it off with moist eyes filled with fear and appeal, as if he was a helpless lamb about to be killed unjustly.
Such words uttered by him cause a vein to pop up in Olivia’s head and she tries hard to suppress the urge to just kill this child before him, Marian was by the side giggling at the way Andrew spoke to Olivia, she doesn’t even try to change the manner in which he was speaking to her and just lets him off to his shenanigans.
“But if you can’t hold off your sexual urge. I can perhaps bear with it and put my life on the line to satisfy you. But I do hope you have the energy to climb on top and do all the work. You know am injured”, Andrew continues with a begrudging expression that says he doesn’t have any other choice but to help her. If that was all it would be fine but he had to end it all up with, “If you still can’t be on top, perhaps I can risk my injuries worsening and strengthen my will to go for a single round with you. You know I would be going through a lot so you will need to give some compensation of some kind”.

Even Marian who was by the side was dumbfounded by this new side of Andrew which she has found out, not to talk of the person to whom these words were being directed. The most feared general has met someone who could talk back to her undermining the fact that he was less powerful than her and even if he was as powerful as her, he was injured and even moving a hand on his part was next to impossible except he wants to go through a pain that would make him wish he was dead. Olivia was pissed off and almost lost it and attacked Andrew just to teach him a lesson, but she didn’t in the end and just decides to leave this boy, for now, storming off, her voice came from behind, “Since you are so sharp mouthed, I guess that means you can get your food and treatments yourself”.
“Sigh, such pettiness. I guess this is what it feels to be a martyr”, Andrew says loudly making sure those words get to the ears of Olivia. His plan did work as she heard it and turns back to stare at Andrew, only to see him having the expression of a lonely hero who has fought thousands of wars for his kingdom, bringing them victory only to be persecuted by the king due to fear of being too powerful, but the general takes everything calmly, and with a bold heart faces death.
Seeing such an expression on the face of Andrew angers Olivia more and to prevent herself from acting recklessly, she just moves with a quickening speed. The always cool-headed general has been riled up greatly by a child no more than fourteen years old, if people knew about this, it would be something of a great mockery. Some soldiers did hear the last part of the talk between them though since the cart was generally in the camp but since they weren’t there from the beginning, they didn’t understand what was going on between them and didn’t take the risk of inquiring, or who knows if the anger of the general would be directed towards them but that didn’t stop them from looking towards Andrew with great respect.
After Olivia left, only Andrew and Marian were once again left together. “Don’t worry. We are in safe hands”, Andrew says at this moment towards the worrying Marian.
The word spoken by Andrew shocks Marian, after all, he doesn’t seem to be familiar with any of the soldiers present and doesn’t know the heart of them all and still said they were in safe hands but she still believes in his words and a smile blossoms on her face at this moment. The smile together with the mature aura around her makes a nice pair which accentuates her beauty, not forgetting that this girl was just at the age of eleven, four years younger than Andrew.
Andrew just smiles while nodding his head towards her, after which Marian goes forth from the carriage to perform some tasks for the soldiers. Andrew just stares at the bustling and hustling of the soldiers around him and couldn’t help but be curious about if this was how it was back on earth when they were on a mission.
Later that morning, the carriages got ready to move. Seems like they were continuing their journey towards the capital. Andrew was resting initially but immediately as the movement started, he became fully conscious of the environment. Although he doesn’t feel strange around these people, he didn’t still feel safe enough to leave his life in their hands and well, he doesn’t think he would ever feel that safe.
Marian and Eve were in the same cart with Andrew once again, Eve was still sulking in the corner about the nature of the relationship between Andrew and Marian, while Marian had placed Andrew’s head on her lap while running through his hair. They could be lovers for who knows, after all, based on their behaviour and closeness, it seems very plausible. But Andrew doesn’t seem to be bothered about her thinking one bit as he was just staring at the ceiling of the carriage.
What he has been thinking about isn’t too complicated. The battle scenario of when he was easily defeated by Edson was all that kept being replayed in his head without pause.
“What is it?”, Marian couldn’t help asking while seeing Andrew dazing off. “Nothing”, he replies with a slight smile on his face. “Okay”, she doesn’t bother dragging the issue longer as she just keeps quiet and continues stroking his hair.
The journey on that day was uneventful and they had to set up their camp when the day got dark, while the military personnel who has been charged with checking up on Andrew also came by to change the bandages and clean his injuries.
He could see that Andrew was already healing quickly and even made a theory that before they would get to the capital, he would be healed enough to start performing some menial tasks on his own. This shocked him greatly but he just took everything in great strides and performed his job.
After he was through and was about to go, Andrew’s voice sounds out, “What’s the name sir?”. “Huh”, the man was astounded by the question being asked but Andrew didn’t take it to heart and just repeats the question with a smile on his face.
“Lancelot”, the man says. “Am in your debts, Sir Lancelot. I would try my best to repay you for all you have done”, Andrew says with a very perfect smile on his face. “Huh, okay”, Lancelot says, however wondering if Andrew wanted to pay him back with gold coins, that would make him happy though. After all, he was in dire need of money and that would sort out some of his pressing issues.
