With the help of Olivia, Marian was able to locate the residence of Eve, which she visited the next day as early as possible, Olivia has prepared a carriage to take her there though, so it wasn’t hard at all to get there and everything went smoothly.
Eve on seeing Marian outside her house was shocked, but that didn’t stop her from running forward to hug her. Although she was annoyed by the actions of Andrew, that didn’t stop her from being close to Marian.
She invites Marian into the house, juice and biscuits were being delivered in which they both ate and chatted happily like long-lost friends who haven’t seen each other for years.
After a while of chatting, Eve couldn’t help but say, “I didn’t expect to see you at my place at this time of the day”. “Ohh, about that, Andrew was the one who sent me here”, replies Marian.
“Ohh, he sent you here huh, that’s nice of hi....”, seems like Marian’s reply was just being registered in her head as she stands up screaming, “Huh?? He sent you down here? Why would he?”.
The scream startles Marian and she almost fell from the chair she was sitting on. But by some luck, she was able to hold onto her chair, she understood the shock from Eve but the shout was still too much according to her reasoning though.
After Eve calms down from her shock, Marian calmly explains everything which Andrew said to her. But she added some sweetening words so as to spice it up, although she was still young, she has matured a lot to notice a lot of signs from Eve which was clearly showing she has some kind of romantic interest in Andrew. And she thought that since she took herself as Andrew’s only family, it was her job to help him in this relationship.
The way she said everything made Eve blush furiously at times, before finally regaining her composure. She was shocked that Andrew cared for her and that she would send Marian to her.
From the way Marian worded things, it seems like Andrew has some kind of interest in her also and she was kind of happy inside at such a revelation.
Even she couldn’t understand how her feelings for Andrew came to be, after all from the beginning, Andrew has always harassed her in one way or the other. Although he had saved her, he slapped her just due to the fact that she has just said some harsh words and still took her along to the bandit’s den all to act as his shield. These were enough reasons for her to hate him, but these feelings of not wanting to see him being hurt, wanting to be around him and keeping him company, just blossomed out of nowhere.
She wanted Andrew to just stare at her the way he did to Marian but seems like the love was bound to be one-sided as although he saved her most times, she wasn’t sure if he would do the same if Marian has not happened to be by her side or if she wasn’t in the picture at all.
But in all, she did hope that it would have happened regardless and she had felt happy when Andrew spoke those words to her when he just regained consciousness. Although she knew it was meant for Marian, it couldn’t stop her heart from beating wildly. It was a very sweet and awesome feeling to be had.
After calming down, they discussed a bit more, after which Marian closed the conversation with the excuse that she wanted to go visit Andrew since she hasn’t been there today and had come directly from Olivia’s home where she was currently staying to this place.
Although Andrew has always been rude to Olivia, they were still very welcoming towards Marian and still allowed her to stay at their place. Eve just told her to wait for her as she went in to get dressed and ready so that she could go visit Andrew. Matters of the heart have always been complicated, just the act of Andrew asking about her put her in such a good mood that she wants to visit him as soon as possible. Marian just smiles wryly at this act of hers. She hopes to never fall this deeply in love with any guy, she was okay always being beside Andrew and if she would fall that deeply in love, she hopes it would be something shared between her and Andrew. But who could predict the future, it has always been unpredictable.
It took a long while though, which was annoying to Marian. She has decided a lot of times to go without her but held it in on numerous occasions until she couldn’t hold it in any longer.
As she wanted to stand up to leave, Eve finally comes out ready. Although she didn’t put on any make-up of any sort and just wore casual clothes, she seems way more beautiful than she has always been. She wore a short-sleeved cream gown, her hair was flowing freely, landing on her back, her face was all glowing, and she had put on a beautiful heel sandal. There was also a basket of fruits in her hands which seem to have been carefully selected. It seems like she was going for an outing with the way she was dressed, and after being stunned for a while, Marian couldn’t help looking awkwardly at her. She started regretting adding those other stuff when talking about how Andrew has asked about her.

On seeing the look levelled on her by Marian, she couldn’t stop to check herself if there was something odd about her. But after checking for a while, she couldn’t find any wrong with herself and thought of asking Marian, “Is there anything on my face or my dressing?”.
On being asked that question, Marian’s face regains its normal pose as she replies, “No it’s nothing at all. You just look amazingly beautiful”.
On listening to Marian’s comment about her, she couldn’t help blushing as she asked, “You think so?”. “Yeah. Definitely”, replies Marian. “Then he would be pleased seeing me this way also”, says Eve with an expression that says she can’t wait.
On listening to these new words from Eve, before she said any more, Marian clears her throat before saying, “We should get going then”. After leaving those words, she walks quickly towards the carriage which has initially brought her here. Seeing that Marian was about to leave without her, she quickly recovers from her fantasy and speeds to enter the carriage on which at a point, she stumbled and almost fell but seems luck was on her side as she was able to hold on and enter into the carriage.
The carriage speeds off towards the hospital during which the girls resume their conversation but if Eve ever tries to bring up Andrew, Marian would divert the conversation to another different angle.
‘Andy, you got yourself one hell of a crazy admirer. I think am about to have a migraine just talking to her’, was what went through Marian’s head anytime Eve brings up a topic about Andrew. And so they struggled forth and back on their conversation and soon enough, they got to the hospital.
Marian quickly gets off the carriage without even waiting for Eve and dashes into the hospital as if her life depended on it. Eve was stumped at words due to the behaviour of Marian, after all, she hasn’t done anything wrong that would make Marian purposely try to avoid her. But she doesn’t think too much as she rushes into the hospital too, she now wants to see Andrew as quickly as possible due to what she has heard from Marian.
On getting inside the hospital, she quickly locates the room in which Andrew has been admitted, she knew that the room hasn’t been changed and she hurries forward. But she meets Marian standing at the front of the door with her mouth wide agape. She was confused by the reaction of Marian and wonders what she could have seen that would make her this shocked. Her thoughts went wild and she couldn’t stop the thought that there was another girl with Andrew doing something lewd.
The thought of another woman being in the room causes her breath to quicken and she felt like her world has collapsed. She slowly walks to the door of the room to see for herself, forgetting that Andrew has just gotten to the capital and came in injured, hence there was no way for him to flirt with any woman and even bring her into the hospital to perform any sort of activity.
No one knew he came from the capital apart from Michael whom he had just mentioned it to casually on some few occasions. After all his stay in the capital wasn’t that long, and although he was familiar with some stuff, that doesn’t mean he knew most things about the capital and the fact that he never knew that such a bank as the supreme world bank existed could accentuate that point.
On getting to the room too, Eve was gobsmacked even more than Marian. It was not due to the fact that Andrew was standing up while staring at the window but was actually due to what was littered on the floor. The stuff even made them forget that Andrew has recovered enough to stand although it was with support, it was still amazing.
Jugs of wine were found on the floor, about six and one could be seen on his hands which he took a swig from now and then. This setting made it seem like Andrew was some kind of hermit who has gone through everything there was to life and has found life to be a fleeting thing that couldn’t be grasped. It wouldn’t be too farfetched to say he has seen all there is to life, after all, he has actually died and come back to life and during his stay in this world, he has been at the jaws of death multiple numbers of times and although he doesn’t fear death any longer, it was still a wonderful feat.
But this kind of feeling came from a fourteen years old boy which was odd to anyone who saw it. While drinking, he finally notices Eve and Marian to which he smiles while saying, “Ohh, you are here already. Get in, why are you standing at the door?”.
As if they were zombies, they slowly walked into the room. On getting in, Marian takes a look around the room before staring at Andrew, and she says almost as if screaming, “You haven’t recovered enough and you are drinking again. What do you think you are trying to do posing that way in front of the window? Don’t you know it’s cold outside? Do you want your condition to worsen?”.
Andrew just smiles while trying to pat her head, on which she swats his hands away, she was angry at Andrew. She has always been worried about his health and here he was drinking away when he hasn’t even recovered enough.
Andrew's smile doesn’t vanish from his face while he turns back to the window before saying, “A good wine makes one forget all about his pains”. He takes a swig before continuing, “The sun is high up over there shining brightly, covering the earth. Just like the sun warms our body so does a good wine. A good wine not only warms up the body and soul but also makes everything clearer like a light shining down at a dark path....”.
He continues squabbling about nonsense, with which question marks couldn’t help growing on top of the heads of both Eve and Marian. They couldn’t understand a single word that he was speaking at this moment and the way he was saying the words with utmost confidence made it seem like he was talking with a profound sense, like a sage tutoring his student. But to them, he was just speaking gibberish, thus out of anger, the two girls as if thinking the same way hits him exactly at the spot where he was bandaged. Since Andrew didn’t seem to put up any guard against them, their hits landed successfully, in which he groans in pain.
When they saw his facial expression which seems to be speaking about the great amount of pain he was holding in and the fact that he could barely stand, the girls rush towards his side and leads him to his bed to rest.
