The meeting went along for a long while before they concluded, of which they both agree that Andrew would be leaving the village in a week to sort out everything he needed, and for Cornelius to spend some bit of time with his daughter, he didn't know when she would come visiting again and didn't plan on going to the capital any time soon since he had a lot of work to do over here. He also needs to send down the letter to which he would be settling everything regarding Andrew in the capital and get a response about it all. There were messenger birds for all those kinds of stuff. Andrew had always thought that all the animals were huge in this world and he wasn't wrong, just that there were normal animals with different structures and names present in this world and only the ones found on earth had great variations in their size.
After concluding the meeting, Andrew felt like he just improved his understanding of this world by a lot more, but he wasn't a good talker and wasn't used to such long discussions and hence was tired. At this moment, he felt like he could finish a whole chicken by himself.
He walks back home in a relaxed manner, fully understanding that all was well. The village was being steadily rebuilt and the former grieving ambiance seems to have been reduced drastically, everything seems to be alright at the moment. He wonders where Eve could be since he didn't see her today, he has gotten used to seeing her almost every day and he felt awkward over the fact that they didn't meet today, after all, he has just left her house.
He got home fully relaxed, only to find Marian on the floor, his heart most definitely skipped a beat and after a second, starts beating twice as fast as it did, his head went blank for a while before rushing down towards her whom was on the floor. He raised her while checking every part of her body to check if there was any problem, after a period of heart-wrenching search, he finds out that she has only passed out since her heart was still beating stably, and there was nothing more to it. He was finally able to calm his anxious mind which had started thinking so far ahead
He couldn't be blamed after all, since he always treated her with so much love and care, and had grown very perfectly fond of her. He carried her to her room where he laid her on a perfect bed that he had installed in the room during his stay since he wasn't comfortable with the mat on which he laid, no matter how he tried. He was the one now sleeping in Michael's room though while Marian occupies his former room.
He watches over her throughout the period she was unconscious and forgot fully about the fact that he was hungry. He just sits off to the side while looking at Marian who lay as he thought about various kinds of stuff that have happened in his life to date.
A while later, Marian struggles a bit on the bed before she opens her eyes, she looks around in wonder, and on catching sight of Andrew in the room, she turns in the opposite direction not wanting to talk to him. Andrew notices all the actions of Marian but keeps quiet.
After a while of silence, Andrew finally says in a melancholy tone, "What were you trying to do? Are you trying to leave me all alone? Families stick together don't they?", he spills off other kinds of stuff but Marian keeps quiet all through without saying a single word. "I know you are angry over what was said at the meeting but that doesn't validate the action you took. I was even coming to share a piece of good news with you after preparing your favorite meal only to find you in that position", he continues.
"What good news is that? Have you found someone better to take care of me? Or you have finally decided to marry me off?", Marian asks in an angry tone.
Andrew was shocked for a while, then just smiles before saying, "I decided that you would be following me to the capital after a lot of thought. What you said earlier was correct, and I don't think I can stay at ease knowing that you are away from me also. So being by my side seems like the right decision. You opened my eyes to the truth". This scenario was highlighting that of a man and woman who were in a relationship and had a misunderstanding and were now trying to settle it. "You won't leave me behind?", she asks as she turns directly to Andrew while waiting for him to confirm it once again. "Yeah, I would be taking you with me to the capital. In a week, we would be going. So get ready for our movement towards the capital. We would be going with Eve and Ceros", Andrew just says in a loving tone to Marian.
On hearing this good news, Marian leaps off the bed to Andrew's arms. Andrew stands up to catch her, after which they twirl a bit in the room before falling on the bed, the lovers have finally settled. Andrew pats her head lovingly while they were in an embrace for a while before saying, "Something has been bothering me though". "Hmm?", Marian raises her head to stare at Andrew, their faces were just a bit of a distance from each other and just a little movement could allow their lips to meet in such a romantic setting.

"How did you get yourself in such a position? What were you trying to do to yourself?", he asks. "Ohh, about that. After getting away from there, I was running back home while crying and on entering the house, I don't know what happened. I guess I slipped and fell", Marian says with a thoughtful expression on her face. "Ehhhh", that was the only sound that was capable of leaving Andrew's mouth. He wasn't able to grasp all that happened immediately as his brain short-circuited for a while before rebooting. 'That was what happened?', he couldn't believe how incredulous the scenario was and now, he notices there was a bit of a bump on her head, while he was patting it. That must have been the part she used to hit the floor, he just smile awkwardly and kept shut without saying anything more.
After a while, he laid her on the bed to rest and didn't allow her to follow him to the kitchen while he goes to prepare something for them to eat.
Eve was at home when they came through, but on hearing his voice in the discussion room with her father, she ran back towards her room. She didn't understand how she felt towards Andrew and her heart usually beat fast when around him, and she was the definition of absolute nervousness.
She felt like this feeling could make her go insane eventually, and hence decided to hide in her room until he left, but throughout that he was in the house, she didn't feel easy one bit. She didn't think it was any feeling related to love since she felt like Andrew was younger than her, and even though he might be going through puberty or has perhaps gone through it, it didn't mean anything to her.
She usually questions herself that since it wasn't any feeling of love, why was she then feeling this way, and no matter how hard she thought, she couldn't create any answer. After a while though, she heard the room open up and thought it was Andrew leaving and her heart was finally able to calm down a bit, she opens the door intending to talk to her father about what they had talked about. But on going out, she sees Marian running out of the room with tears streaming down her face, she frowns at the sight, but on seeing Andrew still in the discussion room obviously with her father, she runs back to her room but this time, she was able to settle her thoughts since thinking about the reason why Marian was running out of the house with tears was all that was on her mind.
She still couldn't figure out any reasonable answer, and she was sure that her father wasn't the cause because Andrew was still in the room, and Andrew was so fond of the girl whom he usually termed as his only family. Eve was even jealous a bit of the way Andrew showered Marian with care and attention, she feels like there is more to them than what they said they are.
After a long while of jealousy, envy, and thinking, the door opens up for a second time but Eve didn't dare to open up the door and just stays cocked up inside her room. After a while, a knock could be heard on her door, her heart jumped thinking that maybe Andrew hasn't left and had instead come by her room, wanting to see her, but she was bound to be disappointed as a female voice came out from the other side of the door, "Young madam, the head seeks your presence in his study room".
It was from one of the maids in the house. Although she felt relieved, she still felt down for some reason, as maybe she did want Andrew to come to see her. The maid seeing that she hasn't replied knocks once again to try informing her of the head's intention, but Eve shouts at her, "I heard you the first time. You can go now".
Eve just tries clearing her head while straightening her clothes before going off to meet her father. On getting to the room, she finds Ceros already standing beside her father. She runs along to hug her father, they were a real father and daughter pair. Cornelius has a dotting expression on his face as he shows absolute love to Eve. "You are finally out, dad. Do you know how bored I was? I came visiting you but you just had to hole yourself in your room cultivating", Eve says grumpily, every bit like a spoilt child. Cornelius just touches his nose and stuck his tongue out in a playful manner before saying, "Your old man is at fault here. Would you be able to forgive him?". Eve just acts spoilt more, while Cornelius apologizes for more until she finally relents.
They talk about other miscellaneous stuff which took some of their time before Cornelius clears his throat to say, "In a week, you did be going back to the capital. You have been away for too long, and that is my fault. And so as for it not to affect your academics in any way, you would have to go back earlier". Eve understands that what her father said was right and indeed being away would affect her very badly hence, she nods in acknowledgment.
"This time around for better security, Andrew would be tagging along with you. He doesn't know much about the capital so you would be taking care of him over there. Although am sure he won't need much of your help though...", Cornelius says. But Eve didn't grab anything else that he said since his first sentence made her head go blank. It was more than a day's journey from the village to the capital and being together with Andrew for that period would put her on the edge. She didn't speak or listen to anything and was in thought all through until her father concludes by saying, "I would dedicate the remaining days to us. So don't worry about not being able to spend enough time with you".
