The wolves walk step by step towards Andrew who was laying in the puddle of his blood, they seemed pleased with their feat and they bowled at each other as if arguing about whom gets to eat Andrew. As Andrew has trained and he was this strong, he seems more filled with nutrients than twenty average warriors put together, so they all want to eat him but he was only enough to be eaten by one of them. After a long period of howling, one of the wolves finally starts walking toward Andrew, seems like it won the argument and was the one going to eat Andrew.
It gets close to Andrew who lay down defenceless, his cutlass has already been broken by the hit and some shards of it even seemed to have stabbed him. Looking at the way he was, he seemed to have lost consciousness, the wolf walks in gentle steps as if it wasn't hurried at all towards Andrew. On getting close to Andrew, it bends its head to gobble him up. Its head was a breath away from Andrew before there was a movement from Andrew, at a speed that the wolf wasn't able to react, Andrew swings a knife which was in its left hand quickly and cuts through both the eyes of the wolf in front of him in a quick succession with a knife in its right hand. He uses the broken cutlass to pierce the neck of the wolf at full force understanding that the normal force won't be able to pierce through its hide. The broken cutlass goes deeply with Andrew's hand piercing through it at the same time. It was in a quick mode and the wolf was unable to react in time so everything went through without a hitch.
Andrew when being pursued by the wolves understood deeply that if the pursuit continues in that fashion, he would eventually run out of stamina at some point if the wolf doesn't give up and going too deep into the forest would bring him to the territory of a very dangerous beast which meant sure death for him without any doubt. Just these three wolves would most definitely kill him. Thinking about encountering a beast of whom he won't be able to retaliate before being killed, chilled him to his bones hence he had to stake his life on this bit of opening. Seems like the training and his instincts enable him to be capable of thinking properly, there has been a huge development in his brain structure.
He made a decision to distant himself from the wolves and then start slowing down bit by bit without going too deep into the forest, then he would allow himself to take a hit from the fastest among them, he wagered his body on the probability of being able to stand up to the blow from the wolf. Using the cutlass as a shield, he uses it as a block before the paw of the wolf. And immediately as the paw made contact with the cutlass, he pushed himself back to avoid the full force of the strike, and he seemed to have made it believable before the eyes of the wolves. The blood which flowed out from him was caused by superficial wounds which occurred as a result of the shards of the broken cutlass piercing through him, but he prevented the shards from piercing any important parts of his body and in the end faked being unconscious, he has after all learnt to be stable during such situations since he has been through such life and death situations countless of times. So it seemed like he was gravely injured, but the injuries were just on the surface so it didn't inhibit his movements too much. On the wolf getting closer, he first blinded its eyes to avoid it from successfully counterattacking him before piercing through its neck before the other wolves come any closer to him.

After piercing through the neck of the wolf, he retreats with full speed while watching the wolf bleed out with his cold eyes. He coughed out blood afterwards, after all, he received the impact from knocking over many trees and they were all strong trees. No matter how much he had trained his body, it was not enough to withstand those actions.
His fighting power had been reduced by more than twenty per cent, he won't even be able to handle one wolf in his present state, he would be killed without a doubt but his eyes don't seem to have given up. Wasn't all his training exactly for such situations? He was going to surpass his limits at this moment and defeat these wolves in front of him. He roared as he went on the offence this time around, running in the direction of one of the wolves. He seems to be motivated by something and wanted to try his luck fighting the two of them, this battle would determine whether or not he could surpass his limits and be stronger than even Michael.
At this moment, Michael and the other hunters have just gotten to the entrance of the forest, the hunters have been quiet all through the way and didn't say a word, afraid that anything they say would make Michael grow annoyed with them and feed them to some beasts wandering around in the forest. "Would you show me the way or would you want me to get it out from you?", screamed Michael angrily towards them. It was then they remembered that they have to point out the direction of where Andrew has been lastly. They nervously pointed out the direction. But this time, there were beasts in every direction they took, which they couldn't avoid no matter the direction they choose to go through, this got Michael annoyed and he cut through them all at the fastest speed possible but they seemed to be unending as the more he killed, the more he found at his path towards the direction the hunters were pointing. The hunters joined in the fight and the funny thing about the situation was the fact that they only met with insect-type monsters, inedible beasts and it felt like there were some other powers in place which were preventing them from being able to rescue Andrew quickly but at the same time didn't want them dead. The pace at which they were progressing was becoming slower and slower as the time went by which got Michael all the more annoyed by the presence of these beasts and fought in anger. As a result of this, his defence was broken through by one of the beasts and although the injury gotten was non-fatal but was all the same shameful for Michael who has always been cool-headed and was hailed as the strongest warrior and hunter in the village.
When Michael stood up, something seems to have been broken inside of him, like a restriction has been removed. He felt like more power was flowing inside of him and on dashing in the direction of one of the monsters, due to him being too fast, he bumped into the monster. He doesn't seem to realize it but the more he fought, the more he felt like the beasts were becoming slower and weaker. Like they were all lying in wait for him to kill them. He almost lost his balance a few times due to his overwhelming strength and speed.
