" it over " lee think

lee closed his eyes and let the green light heal his tired injured body

time passed

The first to emerge from the healing light was Jack, who had spent just ten minutes inside to mend three slashes that marred his body. After a brief walk around, he noticed the others were still suspended in the green light, so he decided to sit on the ground and wait for them to finish their healing.

Twenty minutes later, Ira descended from the light, bearing many slashes across her body. The third and fourth to exit almost simultaneously were Jan at thirty-two minutes and Oscar at thirty-three minutes. Finally, Lee was the last to descend from the light, taking nearly a full hour to fully heal.

Lee's perspective:

As soon as the green light set me down, I inspected myself carefully. I found that I was in perfect health, even stronger than before. Since gaining all those stat increases, this was the first time I felt 100% fit—no exhaustion from battles, no injuries, and no poison.

A message in my mind informed me that it had cost 140 points to heal myself, but I didn't mind the expense. What mattered most was that my friends and I had survived this insane world.

I looked at everyone and smiled warmly, saying, "I am so happy we survived this world."

Ira added, "Yeah, after everything we've been through."

She briefly looked terrified and continued, "All the blood, all the dead people we've seen..."

Oscar chimed in, "I know it's hard, but we have to keep moving forward and find a way back home."

I asked, "So what should we do now?"

Jan replied, "I don't know about you, but I am exhausted."

Ira agreed, saying, "Me too. I want to sleep deeply and wake up to find out all of this was just a dream."

Oscar nodded, saying, "I wish all of this were just a dream, but it isn't. Everything we've experienced was real."

I suggested, "If everyone is exhausted, let's get some sleep. Even though our bodies have healed, our minds need time to adapt to all we've been through on this mission. We can discuss our plans tomorrow at ten p.m. But for now, where are we going to sleep?"

Jack spoke up, "While you were healing, I went to one of the twenty doors here and opened it. When I entered, I found myself in a new white space. In my mind, a message told me that this was my space from now on, and I could imagine the room however I liked. So, I visualized my old room, and it appeared with all my belongings. I also discovered that if you want to enter someone else's space, you need the owner's approval; otherwise, you can't access it."

Everyone was astonished by Jack's revelation, but Jan, in particular, was taken aback, unable to believe the depth of knowledge this seemingly unassuming individual possessed.

Jan confronted Jack, saying, "Who are you really? You are not just 'Jack.'"

Jack was slightly surprised but maintained a playful smile. He raised his hand, pointing at himself, and responded, "Oh my, I am truly the Jack you know, yet not quite. Even I am unsure of who I am. Let's discuss this tomorrow; right now, I'm tired."

Jack turned and walked toward one of the spaces. However, as he was about to enter, he heard Jan angrily call out to him, demanding answers about his identity and his whereabouts during their mission.

Jack abruptly stopped and turned back, his demeanor shifting from playful to cold and menacing. He spoke slowly and forcefully, saying, "Don't speak about things you don't understand, my lady, and show a little respect when you're in my presence."

Jan mocked him, retorting, "Why should I show respect to a little punk like you? We risked our lives to complete this mission while you hid."

Jack's anger flared, and he said, "Oh, really? You think you shouldn't respect me? How about I give you some reasons why you should?"

He raised one finger and continued, "First, how do you think you survived the creature Chris shot at you? You should have died within twenty minutes, and we arrived in this dimension after thirty minutes. Did you think you could survive on your own?"

Jan was taken aback by this revelation, as she had only woken up less than thirty minutes ago and had not yet had time to contemplate how she had survived Chris's attack.

Jack elaborated, "Let me clarify: you survived until we arrived thanks to me and old man Mayson. I was the one who convinced Mayson to slow down the creature's growth inside you so that you could survive until we either completed the mission or obtained the antidote."

Everyone, especially Jan, was stunned by this revelation, and Jan felt remorse for her earlier harsh words.

Jack raised another finger and turned to Oscar, saying, "Second, who do you think knocked out Chris before he could kill you when you collapsed from the adrenaline injection? It was me who incapacitated him, and Mayson saved your body from collapsing due to the adrenaline rush."

Jack raised yet another finger and looked at Ira, adding, "Finally, Ira, you know that I fought alongside you against the catwoman. Don't tell me I didn't do anything to help you guys."

Jack took a deep breath and concluded, "Let's all take a deep breath. We've been through a lot in the last two days, so let's rest today and reconvene here tomorrow at ten p.m., as Oscar suggested, to discuss our plans going forward."

Everyone nodded in agreement and headed toward different doors to get some much-needed rest.
