Eden no Ori chapter 11-3

Eden no Ori chapter 11-3

On Oscar's side:

Two wolves and a tiger moved menacingly toward Oscar, who swiftly drew his gun and took aim at the nearest wolf. With precision, he fired, the bullet finding its mark in the wolf's head, causing it to collapse to the ground.

The second wolf, trailing closely behind, tripped over its fallen comrade, stumbling to the ground. Oscar seized the opportunity, advancing with his axe in hand to confront the approaching tiger head-on.

As the tiger lunged at Oscar, he sidestepped the attack with agility, evading its leap while simultaneously swinging his axe downward. The powerful blow struck the tiger's head, causing its skull to grotesquely deform under the force of Oscar's strike.

The wolf, which had just regained its footing, had only a brief moment to witness Oscar's swift execution. A howl of agony echoed through the air as the axe cleaved through the wolf's neck, ending its life.

"Kill two wolves and a tiger. Gain 25 points," the system announced.

Amidst the chaos, Oscar couldn't help but wonder about Lee's whereabouts.

//

Faint howls of pain reverberated through the surroundings, and Oscar's ears perked up as he strained to locate their source.

Then, a sound caught his attention. "Vvaann." It was the roar of a powerful engine, growing closer.

Oscar scanned the area, searching for the source of the noise, when suddenly, a loud "honk" rang out, followed by the blaring horn of a vehicle.

His gaze snapped in the direction of the sound, and he was taken aback by what he saw. "Get cover! It's coming!" Oscar shouted urgently.

Responding to his warning, Oscar, Ira, Jan, and the others sought refuge behind whatever cover they could find.

With a deafening crash, a truck burst into view, hurtling toward the building and plowing through the animals in its path.

Oscar pointed at the incoming vehicle. "Get cover, it's coming!"

The truck barreled forward, ultimately crashing into the entrance of the building, effectively blocking it with its massive frame. A man stepped down from the driver's seat and looked over at the group.

" sorry I'm late, guys," the man called out.

Oscar, Ira, and Jan couldn't believe their eyes. "Lee!" they exclaimed in unison.

Oscar, Jan, and Ira stood up and stared at Lee, who was now covered in dust and dirt.

Jan, with a hint of annoyance, remarked, "Lee, you look like a mess. Did you pour a bucket of sand on yourself or something?"

Lee glanced down at his disheveled appearance. "Sorry, but I was in a rush to save you guys. I didn't have time to clean up, and besides..."

Lee's gaze shifted towards Oscar, Jan, and Ira, noticing the damage to their clothing. Their shirts bore cuts and tears, revealing parts of their muscled bodies. Jan and Ira, in particular, had their bras and even glimpses of their private areas exposed.

Flustered and embarrassed, Lee tried to raise his head but couldn't resist sneaking occasional peeks at the girls. "I can see your underwear, so who's the one who's a mess here?"

Ira and Jan suddenly became acutely aware of their exposed undergarments and their disheveled appearance. Their faces flushed crimson with embarrassment, and they hastily used some less dirty clothing they had taken from the dead bodies to cover themselves before heading upstairs to change.

Oscar directed a question to Lee, "So, Lee, what took you so long?"

Lee apologized, "Sorry, Oscar, but there were animals everywhere outside, so it took some time. Oh, and by the way, when I ran over the animals, I still got points from them."

Oscar grinned, "You lucky bastard. That's a lot of points you racked up. By the way, Lee, next time, don't tell the girls that you've seen their underwear. They'll really kill you."

Lee nodded his head, realizing how precarious his situation had been.

After some time, Jan and Ira returned, having changed into cleaner clothes. Despite their initial embarrassment, they seemed ready to continue.

Jan inquired about their next move, "So, what are we going to do now? The truck has blocked the animals from entering, but there are still animals from the facility roaming inside the building."

Lee responded, "We'll keep moving forward to Adam's lab and take the keys from him."

Oscar considered the seven people and the commander who had aided them in the fight. "What about them?"

Ira voiced her opinion, "I'm still angry about what they did, but this isn't their fault. I say we let them be."

Jan concurred, "I agree. They helped us a lot in repelling the animals from entering when you weren't here, Lee."

Lee made a decision, "Then it's agreed. Let's move to Adam's lab."

The commander addressed Lee and Oscar, "Lee, Oscar, I know I can't ask this after what I did, but kick Adam for me, and tell Chris I'm waiting for the next time we have a beer. If it's not in this life, then after that."

Oscar replied, "Sure."

Lee nodded in agreement, "Count on us."

With a sense of closure, the commander watched Lee's group as they departed. He reached for his pack of cigarettes, only to discover it was empty. He sighed and closed his eyes, allowing his exhausted body and mind to finally find some rest.
