This whole story was made entirely of a conversation I had with my friend. We were discussing the third generation of Skins (Go watch it it's peak TV) and how they teased two girls getting together but they never did. The whole basis of this story is for that wish fulfillment. The last chapter was already written in my head on day one. I just had to find out how to get there. Nothing besides that was planned. I just wrote and this is the story, I guess you can say it's all written freehand.

Elise was inspired by anyone in particular. I just took my love for Manga and making poems and wrote her out of those hobbies of mine. I admit that her character is the least interesting out of the two, but that's okay. I think in the end Yuna was meant to be the main character.

As for Yuna/Yuele, at first, they were supposed to be an androgynous person who just never tells Elise they're a girl when Elise thinks otherwise, but somewhere along the way didn't pan out. The idea of being genderfluid but not quite trans comes from one of my former friends. Our friendship was brief but man were they cool.

If you noticed, I don't name or introduce a lot of characters as I thought it would only bog the story down and solely wanted to focus on the girls.

Did I blitz through the story? Yes. Even having Elise figure out Yuna's secret past the halfway point felt like it took too long. I did write her to be kind of dumb tho. As for Yuna, I kind of hated how I made her become super vulnerable and girly around Elise. I want to explore her abrasive personality late on but I need a break. After all, I wrote this entire thing within 14 days with a 14-day break in between. I also wasn't sober at a single point LOL. I wrote like 4 chapters sober but I threw them out cuz they were shit.

the entire story was written with Yeule's songs on repeat then Leaving Laurel for the last few, which is why each chapter is penned under one of their songs.
