Chapter 8 : Good Guy

Chapter 8 : Good Guy

The dark of the night has been replaced by the light that was rising from the east. Sun was rising and showing its might to the world, bringing warmth and light that illuminated the world. Signs of life were starting to appear more clearly, by the living things that inhabit the world.

Enjar was standing inside of a room, a pretty excluded room in a not really small house. His clothes were still the same, long sleeves robes and long pants were attached on his body. But now they were fastened instead of being loose like before. He was jumping up and down, moving left and right, stretching his arms and legs as if he was exercising his body. Punching the air, striking vertically and horizontally using his legs, piercing out the elbows, many fighting moves were also used on his moves.

"Haaaa…. It truly depleted huh…."

A slight frown appeared on his forehead. But he did not think about it too much and proceeded with his next move. And after looking like he got used to doing it, he stopped and started to recollect himself, calming his mind and body for a little bit. He then put on a standing still stance. He prepared himself before proceeding on his intention with seriousness. His right hand was facing up, while spreading his fingers on doing so.

*Suuaaassss*

Fire suddenly popped out on his hands. Seeing this, he focused on his hand and analyzed the situation. He looked at the fire for a bit and seemed as if he was in a trance, contemplating some serious things inside of his mind.

He had been doing these for a pretty long time. And after some moments had passed, the fire on his hand was gone. He retracted his focus and took a deep breath.

"Haaaa… Looks like it's going to take a while for me to be able to open it. Well no matter, I can just create a temporary replacement for it. Well, of course there are going to be disadvantages like even in a fight, but no matter. Being a weapon is not the main purpose of it anyway. Heh."

A little grin appeared on his face while he closed his eyes for a bit, with a mocking sigh that got out from his mouth.

A few moments ago, he was a bit in a hurry to find out about this result. He expected that his answer was not going to be this low, but the bitter truth came down. He could not do anything about it for now.

But at least, now he knew the answer and could be at ease for now. After all, it was related to his and his family's safety in some way. So he could not afford to postpone checking it, or an accident could have occured and he did not know what was the best way to handle it. There are unexpected things in life, after all.

The dark of the night had come to an end. Looking out the window, he could see that the sky was no longer dark, and he could see the surrounding place more clearly than before. He seemed to want to put an end to this activity of his, by wiping some sweat that got accumulated on his face while going to the door of the room.

He exited the room and met the two women who were also inside the house naturally. He was greeted by an inviting aroma of foods that were served on the table. Enjar looked at the table and realized that the menus on the table were more than what they usually have.

"Ohh? What's with the occasion?" Enjar said while smiling with a hungry look. He seemed to already know the answer though.

"Well… to celebrate you getting better again, why don't we eat with more variative options. You've been sick for 2 days, a pretty serious one too just from looking at the syndrome. A little celebration will not hurt right?" Vebi answered while bringing a hot pot to place on the table.

"Yes yes, you have not eaten anything since your last breakfast right? I know that you did not have the appetite before, not even having the time to eat because of taking rest on the bed…" A happy voice came out from behind Vebi. Tara, who also brought the supposedly last food in her hands, put it on the table and leaned forward to Enjar with her two hands beside her waist.

"… But this time you better eat them till you can't, okay?" She looked at Enjar with a cutely serious, seriously cute approach.

'…..Damn. Is this desert?. I can't even..'

He pinched her cheek for a bit then walked to the table.

"Uuuu.. Why did you pinch me you bad guy…" She said poutingly while also reaching for the table too. She seemed like she had been wronged. But her expression was so cute and sweet, Enjar could not stop looking at her.

*Blaaaskkk*

Enjar tripped on his walk. He took a look at her while pulling on the chair so he could sit on it.

'What's with this girl? Is she inviting? The last time was three days ago, right? Or am I just a pervert? Bah, every man is a pervert, period.' A mischievous smile appeared on his mouth. Tara blushed a bit when Enjar looked at her that way.

"Ahem… The food is going to be cold if we are not going to eat it now." Vebi said while preparing to eat first. A wry smile was attached to her face.

"*Cough* Yeah, let's eat them now. I can see that you two are putting much effort in preparing these. Thanks for the food!" Without further ado, he started to gobble up the delicacies in front of him. The two followed after him and also started to enjoy the food too.

Eating food made by the wife for a husband was some of the simple things that could bring happiness to the man, and harmony & peace in the family. The foods were top notch in taste and aroma. The quantities were not that small either, so to ease the pace of eating them, conversations naturally took place.

"It seems that you did some exercises just now. So I assume that you're far better now than before, right?" Vebi asked Enjar. A gentle yet serious expression could be seen from her face.

"Yes, just like you can see. Right now I'm feeling better than ever. Maybe I can breathe a fire or something because of how much better I've been getting from the cold, haha.." Enjar said with a chaffing laughter.

"Geez... So, when are we going there? An hour from now? Thankfully the weather has been better than last night. We're going to be there relatively easily then." Tara took a glance at the window and saw that no more dark clouds and rains were there. Clear sky and bright day was the obvious weather outside now.

"Yeah, let's go there in an hour while I prepare the carriage after this. You are going to follow me right Vebi? What about you Tara, do you want to stay here?" He took a bite of some meat after he asked the question.

"Well, I think it's going to be fine to follow along. And it's been a while since we went out together." Tara rubbed her belly, as if she was feeling full from eating the food.

"Ohh okay, nice then. Let's do some sightseeing while we are at it too. I need some information after all." He put another delicacy into his mouth again.

"Hmm… That's a good idea. I heard that the Blue Moon City is going to have some nobles visiting in that area right?" A curious look was shown on Vebi's face. She heard this story when Enjar was sick on the bed.

"Oh, is that true? Maybe if those people are interesting, we could see them for a while." Enjar said while smiling thoughtfully.

"Yes, maybe you could strike a deal with them, Dear? Doing business with nobles usually brings a pretty big profit for some people. Knowing you, maybe you can do it." Vebi gave advice to Enjar with an encouraging look. She knew that her husband was a capable person, especially in doing trades.

"Yes, of course. Doing business with nobles will bring us fortune naturally. Heheh." His grin became pretty naughty. Tara who looked at him like this could only shake her head.

"You still have conscience right? I think you should not trap them or something into a forced business. Just like your deal with the Gril family." Tara asked Enjar with a worried tone. Nobles were different from the common people after all, they had different standing in the society.

"Of course not. After all, I'm a good guy who punishes evil after all, hehehe." His grin got wider and even weird. Looking at him like this, the two of them could only smile helplessly.

"Ahh... That's right… about the thing that I want to talk before-"

Just when Tara was saying something, suddenly noises came through inside of their house. It was like the sound of a carriage that came over, with the galloping sounds of the horses that pulled the carriage in a fast manner. The three of them looked at the windows and they could see a wagon coming to their house from a distance.
