Chapter 66 : Unavoided

Timan, who people did not pay too much attention to, suddenly piqued their interest. This boy had a sharp expression depicted on his face. He looked like he was a young beast that would not be easily tamed.

“We have walked this far and now it was time for us to show our worth, to fight for our value! Don’t give up and make Mister Enjar disappointed by our cowardly action! Don’t take this bastard Raph’s words so casually!” Timan shouted out loud as he gripped his sword on his hand tighter than ever.

This moment was the critical moment for the villagers. If they lost this battle or surrender, then they would be under their reign again and extorted yet again. Enjar had given them the chance to be free from them,

Yes, the gang was strong and all, but look at this! They could still be defeated, and even to this point to boot! Alfred could barely stand too, and the other experts more or less had the same condition as him. If they did not use this chance to their utmost advantage, then they would most likely regret for being so foolish as to not using this critical moment.

“Big things need sacrifice, and we will do this to fight this oppressor! We now have the chance! Don’t you understand this Raph?! How could you not understand this simple thing at all?!” Timan exclaimed yet again as he looked at the direction of the said person. His frustration could not be more apparent, as his body was tense either from nervousness or something alike. And for someone as young as Timan, he truly understood some fundamental things that most were afraid to even mention.

How could he not be nervous when the chance to regain their peace from these oppressors was going to be taken away?

Enjar smiled when he heard what Timan was saying..Getting help from someone when one needed it the most was a blessing that many could fret over. This could also be a payback for Enjar by standing at his side at this critical moment. But if he was grateful for TIman’s decisive action, then why did his smile look eerie and weird though?

Lumberis agreed to what TIman was saying. He nodded his head as he looked at the direction of Raph. “I’m with what TIman is saying. Even a man as young as him understands, then why are you doing this Raph?” Lumberis glanced at Timan as he approved what Timan was doing.”

Raph did not have a change of expression as he heard what Lumberis had just said. He shook his head in pity, and he proceeded to move his hand forward. “Then I guess I need to settle this with force now. Don’t kill unless it can not be avoided.” Raph ordered with a flat voice as he looked at the direction of Lumberis.

The men that Raph had were quite in the periphery of the formation. He somehow was able to put his trusted men into those lines, which Lumberis did not think too much about back then. He thought that it was just a coincidence, especially when Enjar trained them to be the frontmost position too. But now, that coincidence was a bad idea that Enjar had put forward. Now, Lumberis’ own men were cornered on all of its sides. They could not do anything unless they broke through the formation.

Lumberis and his men were having gloomy expressions on their faces. It seemed that they could not avoid this conflict if they still wanted to have a fight with Alvred and his men. What should they do then? Should they fight among themselves and tire of their own power? Or just gave it up and be like what they had been before?

Because either way, the answer seemed the same. If they tired themselves too, then Clind and his men would certainly have more advantages in taking them down, and it would be almost certain that they would win this battle. The biggest advantage that the villagers had were the overwhelming numbers. If those numbers were cracked, then the advantage was no more.

“Never put down your weapons! Look at how Mr. Enjar had sacrificed!” A shout yet again came from Timan who still had a firm expression on his face. He looked at his fellow villagers who still stood on Lumberis’ side as he brandished his sword toward the villagers who put their weapons toward them.

“I don’t know what kind of idea all of you are trying to have, bu”

“Hmph, you’re just a boy, what do you know? Don’t talk in the middle of the adults’ talking.” Raph interrupted what Timan was saying. He did not even see in his direction more than two seconds before he looked at Lumberis again, as if he was just a nobody that no one should paid attention to.

Timan gritted his teeth as he looked at Raph with clear animosity now. His grip on his sword was getting stronger as the time passed. And the unavoided clash could not be avoided.

Sounds of weapons being collided into one another resounded. One thing that was easy to notice was that the villagers did not have the intent to kill, they only wanted to subdue one of the others. So there were no immediate people who fell from the wounds that they received.

It was all because of the heat of the moment too that all of them were put into this fight. They were just following the head of the group. In this case, they were Raph and Lumberis. Each one of them had different opinions about it, and naturally they too had different opinions toward the other group.

But then, another group of people included themselves into this fight. And they sided with Raph as they surrounded Lumberis and his men. Who else if not Clind and his men under him?

And because of the presence of another group, now the clash had become quite erratic. Clind and his men did not have the same sentiments as the men under Raph. They were more vicious when they were trying to bring down the villagers. They did not try to hold back, as their attacks were sharp and unreserved.

This was also a chance, a hot potato that they needed to take advantage of in a hurry. If they were not fast, the villagers might take a different way in handling things, and the situation might not be in their favor. How could they let that happen?

And because of the viciousness toward them, Lumberis and his men naturally retaliate with the same viciousness. They could not just hold themselves when their enemy was using the hard way to bring them down. They needed to show their fang too if they did not want to be killed.

Even more so toward the people under Raph. They were having bad thoughts running in their mind as they were in the middle of the fight. How could you be on the side of the people who were trying to bring us down? And how could we hold back our power if they were this vicious? Naturally we need to give them their own medicine!

And because of that, the men under Raph could not help but to become harsh too. They were under the heat of the battle, and they could not stop this moment of battle. Because if they tried to stop, then death would naturally be given to them. It was either trying to kill or be killed here, the situation forced them to be like this.

The situation happened too quickly, it was no more than a few moments before it turned like this. WHen the battle firstly were just like giving a jab or two, now the fight turned into a deadly battle.

Alvred was having a delighted expression on his face. It seemed that the situation could not get any better than this. If this trend was going to go on, then their win was like a guarantee. Their grasp toward the villagers would be unprecedented if they won, and their plan was going to be a total piece of cake.

“I give myself up!”

But Alvred was wrong. It was because it seemed that the situation was going to be better for him. Enjar, who seemed like he was on his loose end, shouted out loud, making the clash to be stopped abruptly.
