Chapter 64 : One Had Risen

Chapter 64 : One Had Risen

“Kuh…” A grunt came out from a man as he was hurt by a sharp weapon that pierced his body. It was from Enjar, who received an attack on his right shoulder.

He avoided the attack at the very last seconds, as he seemed to realize that an ambush had approached him without any premonition. He looked surprised by the unexpected appearance of the man that seemingly appeared out of nowhere.

His left shoulder was pierced by the blade holder that he had killed before inside of the wall flame. Now, his right shoulder was hurt too. He did not use his left arm unless it was necessary because his arm had been hurt like this. Even then, the injury on his left shoulder itself was not that deep, it might be only a few millimeters deep.

Now, with one injury that had appeared on his right shoulder, it was hard to see how Enjar would contend against this new development. Because the injury on his right shoulder was quite apparent. The blood flowed and made his clothes dyed red.

Enjar took a distance with the attacker by jumping again, but he was met with an attack from Arin. He manifested energies on his weapon as he slashed that energies toward him. Enjar was midar so it was hard for him to parry it.

Still, he maneuvered by exacting sparks of fire on his feet that made him move a few meters directly, making him look as if he jumped even though he was still in the air.

Arin grunted in displeasure when his attack did not land on Enjar. He was injured on his thigh and he surely could not fight like before again. He did not even know whether he could stand or not at this moment of time.

Enjar took a look at who was attacking him. Just now, he could see that it was from Arin that was laying down on his stomach. And the other, who dealt damage to his right shoulder, was none other than Blaid, the leader of Wheatfield Village’s gang that he had kicked out before.

His expression looked grim as he glanced at Blaid that had a provoking smile on his face. He swung his sword sideways, cleaning his sword from the drops of blood after he had stabbed Enjar. He firstly intended to stab Enjar’s chest, but he missed his target and could only hurt Enjar’s shoulder.

Enjar stopped at a point and he advanced once again to Blaid’s position. He used the spear using his left arm as he swung it a little, doing a spear trick to make it more comfortable for him. And off he goes, toward Blaid’s position.

Blaid too used his left hand, because his right arm was hurt from the last fight with Enjar. But it has become better for him to at least make him able to manifest energies. He was not that proficient in using his left hand, but the condition forced him to do so.

The exchanged a few spars of weapons, in which Enjar dominated the spars for the first seconds before he suddenly realized that there was something wrong with him.

“Kahh…” Enjar let out a mouthful of blood in the middle of fighting. This created a chance for Blaid to strike a good attack.

But Enjar was able to jump back before he started to touch his head, as if he was feeling dizzy. His body started to sway left and right looking like he was drinking a high dose of alcohol. He started to conjure a high density energy into his left hand.

“Kah… Scorching Arson…. Flamefall!” Enjar muttered as he pointed his left hand toward Blaid. It was like a beam made up of flame, reaching Blaid in a matter of seconds.

“Dang it!” Blaid cursed out loud as he did not expect that Enjar was able to use yet another skill against him. He expected that Enjar was already losing out of energy after he had been fighting against them for so long.

Especially when Blaid had used poison on his weapon to deal more damage against Enjar. Even Enjar looked like he could not take it anymore and started to sway his body left and right. The poison had started working but it seemed that it was not going to be easy for him to defeat him.

Still, he thought that Enjar would fall after this so he only needed to bear this one last attack that Enjar had launched onto him. He started to manifest energies abruptly, and the flame finally reached him.

Now he finally knew just how strong this attack of Enjar that Alvred once tasted was. He was only in the dark ever since Enjar was fighting against the expert. He did not participate in the battle and was only looking for opportunities to deal fatal damage against Enjar, or even kill him.

He already knew that Enjar was a strong man that he could not defeat head on, so he could only defeat him by launching an unexpected attack toward Enjar. And now he once again tasted Enjar’s attack head on

“Ahhh!”

His manifested energy could not even hold for 2 seconds before he was blasted away. He was thrown meters away, smashing his body on ground before he was stopped by a tree that stood in his way.

But fortunately for him, the flame was put out just when he was blasted. It seemed that Enjar did not have any more energy on him, as he was panting and trembling like never before. He was calm and cool as he was fighting them, but now he looked frail as if every single one of them could defeat him right now.

“Kuuh… He-He had been poisoned-Uhuk-Kuh…” Blaid spat out some words as he tried to get up. He was truly hurt now, and his respect for Alvred was going up an inch as he was able to hold on longer even though it was miniscule. Still, Alvred was able to get up quickly and fought against Enjar again.

The onlookers seemed dumbfounded looking at this progression that seemed to advance in an unexpected way. Either the villagers or the gang, they had no idea that the fight would go on up till this moment.

Now, Alvred seemed that he had gotten better even though his bloodied and full of bruises body still attached on his body. He seemed like he could put up a fight anymore as he too was trembling.

But reality proved different when he once again conjured energy on his hand. And the onlookers were shocked by this revelation!

For Clind and his men, now they had jubilant expressions drawn on their faces. Now they thought that this was still not the end for them, there was still a chance for them to win this battle!

While for Lumberis and his men, they had perplexed emotions. They did not know that the fight would progress in such a way that now they were faced with a battle that might not be to their favor at all.

There were still no casualties among the villagers in the battle, even though there were still some who had been injured from the clash with Clind and his men before. And even their injuries were not fatal, only some grazes on some parts or their bodies, or maybe around 5 people who were shot by the arrows on their bodies.

Now, they looked at the direction of Clind and his men where they had braced themselves to clash against the villagers again. If Enjar was out of the fight, they did not know what kind of fate that they would face. Now Alvred had risen, what if the other experts rose to fight against them too?

They could see that Enjar was not in the right situation to fight. He was trembling, and he seemed like he could not muster an ounce of energy anymore. If they wanted to win this battle, then casualties would be one of the things that needed to be paid. And even then, victory was not certain for them. Most of them had complex expressions drawn on their faces right now, even though some still had the same unwavering will to fight.

And around this time, suddenly, a shout came out from the crowd of Lumberis. “We will surrender!”
