Action: I know my chapters have been short lately and a bit on the loose end but I'm back on track.

Action: Though I've been thrown off lately because I found out my stories are being pirated to Truyen without my permission to find out it is happening to other writers. Though you're here to read another chapter not to hear me vent.

(I Believe - Persona 5 Royal)
The appeal round has begun and I can say there are many talented performers in the school. All my friends already got their chance to shine, especially Ashley and Sonia, and even though they were partners Sonia was still able to stand out amongst the two. Mona and I were set to go last and we still had a bit of time till we had to be on the field. While I was thinking I guessed at some point my tail wrapped around my ankle. For those of you that don't know that's one of the signs that I'm nervous.
"You, okay Tyler" I looked to my left to meet my eyes with Mona.
"Oh, yeah I'm fine" I unravel my tail and just swish it side to side. " I'm just excited to perform alongside a top ranked student like you" that wasn't a total lie.
"Alright" she spoke slowly as if trying to see if I was lying "just don't forget it's all about the finishing pose" we started making our way to the stadium. That's the thing you don't get called down you have to make sure you're on time, I guess a way to prove you're a responsible student.
"Up next is our final group!" I could hear Marrion's voice.
"Tyler that means we're up" we then walked out and it was not like any other contest I've been in. First this takes place in the giant Ferrum Stadium and second all the seats are filled with students, teachers, and citizens.
"First let me welcome Mona Sanchez! A third year at the school and top of her class in contests! Next to her is one of the top first years Tyler Loft who specializes in element manipulation!" I've never heard such a rowdy crowd.
"Tyler, don't worry. You won't remember they're here when we start" Mona whispered and I nodded. Stop being nervous, you have to succeed.
"Now, let's go!" Mona screamed and a thin layer of ice covered the stadium floor. My eyes then glowed blue and I floated Mona up in the air while she started spinning and using ice beam. Just like she said there is a barrier around the field so there were some ice splotches on it. "Tyler you're up" I release Mona and fly up using heat wave.
"Woah, look at that smokescreen created from force and ice!" now is our chance.
When the fog cleared it revealed me in my mega form and Mona was Synergy burst. Though if you were to look closely there were eighteen orbs filled with a different type of energy circling around us.
"Let's finish this Mona" She starts to slide around and creates an ice slide spiraling up creating an ice spire. I then grab an orb that has a mountain emblem on it and my wings become hard like steel. I then Slice the orb and my wings turn a brown like color, I then fly up to meet Mona and her claws were glossed as if polished by steel and we clash. Sending sparks everywhere. Then what we wanted happened, an explosion ignited.
"Woah, that must've been a combination of Flint and steel!" That's just the half of it. When the explosion cleared. There was an ice replica of the Ferrum trophy.
"Finished!" we both say out of breath. It takes a lot of energy to make a controlled explosion like that but for me I'm drained. I used so much energy just for the appearance of those element orbs. I'm still so weak.
"Talk about an amazing finisher! With that being the last performance of the appeal round the Judges will soon reveal the sixteen teams heading on to the next round!" Mona and I started walking to the underground walkway, but I needed to rest there for a bit. I made sure no one could see me.
"Mona you can go without me I just need to rest a bit" she didn't like what I had to say.
"Nonsense let me help you back to the waiting room" I would protest if it was one of my friends, but she's being nice, how could I say no. She took me back to the waiting room where Blaze, Ashley and Glitz were waiting.
"Thanks Mona, we got it from here" Blaze had no expression but from his voice I could tell he was worried.
"Okay, and Tyler that was the most fun I had during an improv performance" with a hop and a skip she left.
"That was an amazing performance from the both of you but after using that much energy are you okay?" Ashley put one of her ribbon feelers on my head. "Blaze, he's not feeling too well" Blaze then pulls out a small canister with pills in it.
"Take two of these and swallow, they will help you recover faster because we also have some fights today" he gave me two yellow pills.
"What are those?" Glitz asked. I popped them in before I regret to know what's in them.
"Well if you want to know, small crushed up synergy crystals, but a very small amount. Potassium Ascorbate, mint, and bit of sugar " Blaze spoke.
"How much Potassium Ascorbate are in these?" Ashley sounded a bit worried and I didn't even know what chemical it was.
"Calm down only 50 milligrams, I'm not trying to kill him" Blaze got up in Ashley's face.
"You sure about that" my eyes widened as to what Ashley was referring to. Ashley looked as if she was challenging Blaze.
"He's forgiven me for that and so have the others!" Blaze started to bare his teeth at her.
"You two, if you're going to fight take it outside" Glitz spoke up.
"Sorry" they both said. I was in shock, Blaze apologizing and Ashley giving in to Glitz so quickly.
"Okay and we're back with the results of the sixteen teams moving on! On the screen are the last thirteen that qualify and I'll be personally announcing the top three placing teams" Marrion spoke. On the Screen you could see Blaze and Jason got ninth place.
"Where are the rest of us?!" I started to panic.
"Tyler, calm down" Blaze grabbed my hand.
"Now, in third place consisting of Tyler, and Mona!"
"I got third place with Mona?" I was questioning myself. I basically did better then most of the school. Though when I was back home I was struggling to make it and even when I came back I actually lost two contests in a row before collecting my last two ribbons.
"Nice job" Blaze picked me up and spun me around. Then he realized he was doing and put me down and let out an uncomfortable cough. I then notice Glitz walk up and say something in his ear.
A blush then crept on his face "I told you before I do not!" I would've asked something but Marrion continued.
"In second place the second year duo Flora and Liz!"
"For someone she said she hated, they sure did work well together" I had to agree with Ashley.
"I mean it doesn't matter what place we get, up next is battles anyway" Blaze was clearly upset, his rivals got a higher place then him.
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
"Finally the first place team of a senior Sonia and Freshman Ashley!"
"Nice job babe" Glitz trapped Ashley in a side hug.
"Thanks, but even though I was her partner it was as if she stood out during the whole thing and the thing is I can't hate her because she is genuinely nice" Ashley's eyes were glued to the screen as she spoke.
"Now this festival will continue tonight in the spirit of the Lunar Festival! Now go enjoy the booths that the students have setup!" The screen then cut out.
"Well then, Tyler, let's get a move on Volcan has everything set up and I made sure Lucifer was put in daycare" I didn't get a chance to actually respond because I was being dragged out by Glitz.
Today was exciting while at the booth we got a lot of pokemon coming to get a prize and since Jason and I had to be a part of the grand festival tonight, we weren't allowed to fight. Volcan didn't lose a single fight and Glitz lost about twenty out of the thirty she got. The pokemon that won either went for the tms/trs or for fusion crystals. I mean Mochi is good but I guess others haven't tried it before so while we were there I started snacking on a few. Though That's not important we were back at the Ferrum stadium taking center stage.
"Welcome back everyone to the Ferrum region Grand Festival! We are back with the top 32 contestants from this morning!" The crowd roared even though it was the dead of night.
"Talk about rowdy" Blaze whispered in my ear and I giggled.
"Please, just shut up" Flora hit Blaze in the back of the head.
' I mean who else wants to see teenagers and young adults look sexy and make a fight beautiful. It would be wrong if they did that with kids' Blaze invaded my mind space again.
A/N: If you don't understand the reference just look at May's, Dawn's, and Serena's ages in the anime.
"Now if you're ready tonight starts the second stage and only four coordinators will advance!" I thought my reality just broke. "You heard me right!" Marrion spoke with enthusiasm.
"Tonight's second stage will be a free for all battle performance! Your scores will be tracked through your Orb! To lose your points must reach Zero, you're knocked out of the ring, or you faint!" Vivian continued talking.
"The field may be small but don't worry!" Lillian explained as he stands started to spread out and the shield that protects the audience expanded to the end of the track. "Now, Only four of you can advance and you only have so many points and don't forget the judges are watching!" She points out that there are six judges prepared and waiting.
"Now let's not waste time! Everyone take a space at the edge of the field!" We listened, separating and waiting at the edge.
"Ten Minutes on the clock!Three! Two! One! Begin!" Even on the their marks, no one moved.
'Tyler, duck!' Blaze yelled in my head. I did as he said and a blast of ice came our way.
"Off the bat we have an Ice beam from Mona aimed at Tyler and Blaze!" That was from Mona! After that shot all hell broke loose with simultaneous attacks. I decided to fly up and get an overview of the whole field. About half of everyone was in the center. I then saw a Boltund run in and in the cloud of the fight and a surge of electricity came out. The cloud cleared and turned to orange sparkles.
"Come on everyone it's a performance not a fight, it's a performance" She spoke. That must've been Sonia.
"Wow she took out a lot of points from all those pokemon!" She's amazing. I can't focus on that. I'm here to win. I flew back down and came across a Mienshao. A belt of rocks appeared around him.
That must be Stone edge! In retaliation I created a giant Hurricane so it could suck up the rocks.
"It won't be that simple" he spoke. Even with the Hurricane he was able to shoot the rocks straight at me. I hear beeping in my ear and that's probably my Orb telling me I'm losing points. I have an idea, I pulled a purple crystal out my fur and pressed into it. A white light filled the area and my body changed to become more slimmer and agile, not to mention my scales becoming white.
"Time to show you what I can do" The rocks kept coming but I was able to slice them and send some back his way.
"You shouldn't be able to do this"
"Well, what are you going to do about it?" That set him off because he came in for a close combat. I guess he forgot were also fighting with elegance because his form looked as if it was for power and not grace. I didn't even need an attack to counter.
"Seems like we have a head on collision from Julius and Tyler!" I could still hear my points dwindling.
"As much as I love this fight we can't keep going like this" I then sliced him in the stomach and legs. Grabbing his ankle with my tail I sent him back into the shield.
"First elimination, Julius Whisker! Out" I looked to the screen and it showed his name and picture with a 'x' over it.
"Tyler, maybe you should pay attention!" Mona slides right into view. "Take this!" she charges at me with a Metal claw. I met her with my wing. "I guess they are right. Fusion does give you immense power, though how much energy do you have left?" She parries and strikes me twice sending me sliding back and forcing me out of my fusion.
"You're stronger then you look" I had to give her some praise.
"Thank you and you're not bad yourself" without a beat she continued moving and surfing on ice. I then saw a beam of steel form around her mouth and she shot it. I nearly dodged and ended up on the ground. "Nice reaction, though can you handle my multi shot?" She shot multiple beams in different colors.
I had to rely on sound, I closed my eyes and focused my energy in my ears.
"Look at that! Tyler is able to keep up with Mona's attacks!" Even with the praise I was struggling to keep up. I then opened my eyes and I'm shot right in the face.
"Clean shot!" I could hear her cheer. "Let's end it" I felt a major burst in power coming from her.
"I agree" though I couldn't use fusion and I couldn't tap into Mega, or Delta.
'Tyler, don't!' a voice screamed in my head but I used it and instead of a dark circle appearing around me. The mark on my wrist glowed in a black light.
'You are going back, but this time not because of rage, but sadness' I gasped at the deep voice and it wasn't Giratina. Who knew I was struggling with sadness? I didn't have time to think. My wings disappeared and red spikes ran down my back, my class and tail spade were red too, the rest of my body being black.

My tail coated in poison I swung at Mona.
"Woah this is new! Tyler seems to have another form!" The crowd cheered, but I wanted them to shut up. I didn't give Mona the chance to breathe, aiming my claws at her throat. I was then forced to stop when I heard a ring in my ear.
"Opponent Mona Flash, out of points, eliminated" my orb rang in my ear. I didn't start to think I started to charge into the field where others were.
"These simultaneous battles are heating up and there are only twelve performers left! Top contender with a great show of power is Tyler, following him is Sonia, Yowai, and Liz!" I continued fidgeting. Instead of elegance I focused on the show of strength, my fighting spirit was fueled by sadness. The memories of all my failures, in contests, the league, the virus.
"Snap out of it!" I was snapped out of my depressing bloodlust, when Blaze crashed into me using Wild charge.
"What do you want Blaze? You want me to knock you out too?" I spoke in a gruff rude tone.
"What are you feeling that you reverted to that power! You became the devil, not it's underling!" He looked at me with rage.
"You don't know how I feel! Why are we still talking,we're here to fight!" I charged at him aiming for his throat. He counted with his tail and it was hard as steel. Not only that he wrapped his tail around my wrist and then threw me behind him.
"I don't know what you're feeling, but please I want my sexy demon" he pleaded with me. He wants me, did he actually admit here that he wants me.
"Blaze I-" I didn't even know what happened. The next thing I was on the ground and everything was hazy.
"Knock out by Yowai! We are down to eight competitors!" I heard the announcer speak. Blaze, knocked me out. He distracted me with his love talk and took me out. He knew how much I wanted to win and he resorted to cheap tactics like my emotions, especially in the state I'm in.
The next thing I know I'm being carried off the field. Blaze . . . why? I didn't bother to pay attention to the performances anymore. While I was knocked down, I was forced back to my normal form.
"Everyone stop! We have the top four coordinators!" Everyone stopped moving and looked at the giant screen in the stadium. "In fourth place we have Liz Fang!" On the screen was an Obstagoon.
"In third Place Yowai Two!" Blaze was then on screen. I frankly couldn't be happy for him.
"In Second Place Flora Bloom!" Flora was then on screen.
"In First Place Sonia Sparks!" It was the Boltund that Flora was talking about.
A/N: Sonia in the official anime does not have a last name and dear god I love Brittney Cox who is her english voice actor and played Ingrid in Fire emblem three houses or how Leon is being played by the same voice as Yuri from Fire emblem three houses:Alejandro Saab but that's not important.
"Now we will be back tomorrow in the afternoon with this year's grand festival champion!" Everything that happened after that is really a blur. I remember getting to my room carrying a sleeping lucifer in my arms and letting him rest in bed. While I let him rest I was at my desk writing into my journal about today's events. I then noticed the box I got from Blaze a while back and I remember there was a dye kit and a textbook in noivern history.
Reading through it more than I did in the past it was very common for Noiverns to dye their fur and each color has a different meaning. I then pulled out a jar of Black dye. I first cut out the matted fur and made sure to wash the rest to get any lasting hairs and oils and grim out. I then applied the black dye to my fur and I have to say it doesn't look bad but it means a lot and I hope Blaze realizes that.
Action: Okay I know these chapters are coming later this month and it is later then what I wanted.
Tyler: But?
Action: My older brother is finally done with the Navy and is back home!
Gladion: Good for you.
Xavier: Yeah, we know how much of an impact he has on you.
Action: Thank you guys.
Skye: * Looks at calling card* As compensation you will?
Action: After the next chapter we will have our first secret truth revealed of one of the characters.
Arthur: Not only that but only four characters will get their own secret truth chapters.
Jason: However they will be a bit on the short side compared to a normal chapter.
Action: Reason for that is I'm revealing pasts and their actual thoughts over the span from maybe a bit before the series to now.
