It's already been a week since the summer seminars started. Not bad if you ask me, I learned a new thing from Tailside, he is one powerful Eevee. I wonder, why did they decide now to hire him as a professor. That's beside the point, now the dean invited all students into the Ferrum stadium. I walked in with Tyler because we went to drop Lucifer off before coming. He sees me as another father and I think that gets me closer to getting Tyler to take me as his mate. We have already spent a lot of time together since I got here.

"Hey, Mikey," Tyler got my attention and then planted a kiss on my cheek like a giddy teenage girl. He is always sweet, as I remember. We made our way to the seats where our friends were.

"The lost puppy arrived," I let out a growl turning my head to meet face to face with Axel. Believe it or not, he has a third type and has an alternate form being dragon and dark because naturally, he isn't a dark type.

"Give the lost dog a break, all he needs is someone to rut into," Jason laughed. Liz and Axel joined in on Jason's little banter.

"Guys leave him alone," Ashley jumped in and I thanked her. I then decided to lay my head in Tyler's lap and he comforted me.

"Welcome, everyone and I'm your Dean, Dean Dark," Giratina appeared in center field. As well as the jumbotron we have. "I am here to announce the tenth annual summer festival will be starting next week!" The whole school cheered as if excited for the event. "The rules are the same every year, but let me explain for the new contenders. This is broken up into three stages. The first will be students fighting each other from their year so seniors will only fight seniors and so on. Each student will start with five hundred points. Before the fight, you will agree on a number of points to bet. Though if you ever reach zero you are eliminated. This will last two weeks, and the remaining students from each year will go to the second stage. Which is similar to the first but you can fight anyone from any year. Reminder in both stages you can at max have three fights in one day. You have to do at least one a day and you can select your opponent or have your Orb randomly choose an opponent. Also, your orbs will decide the victor. They are equipped with body scanners and we can't use officials for street fights, this segment will last a week," while he was talking there were demonstrations of what he was saying on the jumbotron. "One thing that is different is only the top sixteen scoring students will make it to the third and final stage for the finals bracket. You will be seeded based on the number of points you have. The tournament will take place over another week which averages about two matches a day," when he finished everyone was in a frenzy. "Don't forget the locals will be providing fun zones and food for everyone while competing. I almost forgot this year's prize, this time all of the legends chipped in for this year's prize even former Dean MT. It looks like Ho-Oh's feathers. We call it the god feather, it raises one stat of choice by massive amounts, and not only that if you take it off and reapply you can change the stat you want to raise. Also, when you apply the feather it will match your own set of feathers, scales, or even skin. That is all I have to say, you're all dismissed," Dean Dark quickly made an exit and so did the rest of the school.

"Everyone ready to head out?" I turned to Tyler and he was so chipper today.

"Sorry but nah, Mikey and I have some stuff we need to prepare," Liz gave me the look of 'You are not going anywhere.' I just slouched defeated,

"Same here, but I'm meeting with Professor Tailside for extra lessons," we all gave Jason a quizzical look because we all know he hates studying.

"Snap and I are going to the gymnastics gym, he's training me in being flexible," James said out in a grumble.

"He finally acknowledged me by my name," Snap squealed with glee.

"You act as if I don't hang out with you all the time," James turned his face to the side so we couldn't see it but I could see his blush. I let out a quiet evil chuckle.

"I almost forgot!" Mona said out with alarm. "I made lunch plans with Ashley and Glitz" Ashley gave her an annoyed smile as if wanting to choke Mona, while Mona let out a nervous laugh.

"I guess that leaves me with Arthur, Blaze, and Axel," Tyler started to count but had a confused look.

"Forgetting me, I'm so hurt," Flora said in a dramatic tone. Volcan waved her off.

"Sorry guys, you know I have a scattered brain," Tyler mirrors Mona and gives a sheepish grin.

"Don't worry about it, Flora was going to let me taste some sweet nectar anyway," Volcan sent a wink her way and he got slapped.

"You know what! You're paying for the new swirl slushie you ass hat. You can tone it down with the flirting," Flora started to drag Volcan. This is the first time I have seen Flora genuinely upset.

"So I guess we'll see each other later," Tyler raced off excitedly while Blaze, Arthur, and Axel chased him. I wish I could be with him but of course, Liz and I need to prepare for opening day.

They all mocked me, giving me a quizzical look as if I don't study. If I didn't train and understood my abilities, no way would I have made it to the second stage in the Chroma League and been able to put on a great performance. Also his lectures are kind of fun to sit through.

"Jason, I'm over here," I whipped my head around and saw Tailside at the cafe he recommended. He was sitting at an outside table with an umbrella and from what I could tell was tea in his glass. I made my way over and sat myself down.

"Professor-," I was cut off.

"Call me Milo outside the classroom. I'm not much older than you," he gave me a genuine smile.

"Well, then I have to ask how old are you?" I was intrigued.

"I'm twenty-five, but I graduated from battle college when I was eighteen, not the top of the class since most of my studies were in science. Oh, look at me, we're here for you and I'm talking about myself," he let out a chuckle. How is he so young yet has a calming aura and is so proper like an average professor?

"Oh, no, it's fine, I wanted to ask for your assistance on my lava control," I formed a ball of it in my hand and started to play with it.

"Of Course, I can help, let me just scan you for a full understanding of your capabilities," He then pulled out his orb which allows him to do his transformations and his eyes started to fill in the colors of the rainbow. "It would seem you are going about battle incorrectly, to begin with," I was shocked when he said that. His eyes returned to normal.

"What do you mean?" I always fight from a distance, Like a flygon would in a sandstorm unless close combat is needed.

"Your stat makeup is more physical attack than special attack and yet you use more special moves. In general, I feel like your lava attacks would be improved if you used them for close-range fighting rather than long-range," I nodded listening to what he said. "Not only that but you're quick so it would be easy for you to avoid things especially when you can use the lava as a shield. There is more you can do with it, but let's take baby steps here," We both laughed at his joke. He took a sip of his tea and a waiter gave me my passion fruit drink.

"Thank you for the tips and I'll be sure to ask in the future what to improve on," for once I was happy and not being snotty like I am with my friends.

"Sure, and make me a promise," I nodded, signifying for him to continue. "If I'm tutoring you, you can't lose the Summer Festival," I could see a glint of a rainbow in his eyes as he said that. I guess it happens when he gets very serious.

"I'll do what I can and I know I'm not a top student here, but if I wasn't aiming for the top, why am I here?" I gave him a confident smirk.

"Then, can you beat Tyler or Axel?" It was a simple question and it made me angry. Though why would those two be brought up in a sentence? Axel is a transfer who just started to hangout with us and Tyler is an old rival. "Tyler sees you as his friend yet you brush him off which makes him hostile to you. That is his fuel for beating you in all of your matches," his eyes started to glow again and how did he know that much of our relationship?

"I can beat Tyler but have you seen Axel, he was as dangerous as when I first met you during the Lunar festival. It actually looks similar to Tyler's old form before it changed again," I then thought about it.

"It's more than likely a quicidence but if you can't beat those two in the second stage you'll be going nowhere," He's right but that won't bring me down. I didn't even realize but while we were talking I finished my drink, it only happens when I become stressed. "One last tip and this is essential if you want to beat those two, their power runs on emotion," I was then surprised. I can see that for Tyler, but Axel too. "I would stay longer, but I have to attend some meetings this afternoon. I hope we can meet up again like this, it's refreshing," he left the poke on the table to pay for our drinks.

"Thank you professor, I mean Milo," I waved as he walked away. I decided to sit there and think over what he said. Why did he name those two specifically?

~Liz's~

"Liz it was fun to do that again, I hope Tyler will enjoy the performance," he was doing his puppy dog eyes again. Honestly it's hard to believe Tyler hasn't made fun of him for it.

"Mikey you gotta stop doing the puppy dog thing. What happened to the emo dog who didn't care about anything?" I leave for school and I come back and I am met with a lovesick puppy.

"Lizeretta, I did go back to my old self while in driftveil but it wasn't a good thing," the little cunt said my full name.

"Dip shit what did I tell you about using my full name!" I got in his face and put his hands up in a defensive position.

"Not to do it unless in private and even then it's a gamble," at least he remembers.

"Good, but don't wear your heart on your sleeve all the time. Plus maybe you could go after Jason or Mona," I spat out in laughter.

"I feel like you would ring my neck if I went after Mona," the bastard did his signature fang smirk.

"I have no idea what you're talking about. Hurry up and get your stuff together," I slinged my guitar over my shoulder and walked out the pavilion that was set up for our practice. Not too soon after Michael came running in behind me with his bass. "Now, don't forget we will have extras playing with us. We will have a full dress rehearsal tomorrow with them," I did my best to inform him.

"What's their names?" He gave me a sheepish smile and chopped him in his side.

"Ghana Specter and Rumi Inferno, Ghana placed in the top four while Sonia in the top eight in the Chroma league, but they also have a passion for music. Ghana plays the drums and Rumi keyboard," I did my best to remember even though I lost to Tyler in the first round. I'm still mad about that.

"They must be strong, anyway. I must be going, I promised Tyler we'd go stargazing tonight," Michael ran off towards the male dorms and I rolled my eyes.

"That damn mutt has been trying for years and still is getting nowhere. Tyler, just don't break his heart too much if he isn't the one for you," I said out to the sky while entering the girls dorm.

"I knew you had a heart," I jumped to the voice of Mona. When did she get in the hallway?

"Damn, Anyway, did you get what I asked?" I open my dorm room and she walks in.

"Are you blind or do you not see me holding a hanger?" Retorting with sarcasm, she's already looking for a fight. "I made it myself 'Pop star princess' in purple just like you asked," she presented it to me and for once I actually liked a dress.

"I'm only here to drop this off, I'll be on my way," the sass in her voice always rubs me the wrong way and makes me want to fight her. She walked out and Placed the dress in my closet.

"Been a while since I performed for a large crowd and I'm doing it with my little cousin so I can't let him down," the only place I can drop my guard is my room, I no longer have my natural rude attitude and sleazy tone. The winds of change are moving and they are doing so rather quickly. I honestly forgot where I heard that, but it's true for what's going and what's to come.

Action: Okay, the setup is done.

Tyler: Is this the first chapter without my point of view?

Action: That and more to come.

Jason: I'm intrigued to see what is going on.

James: I agree with Jason.

Axel: I'm not so sure, it would seem there will be alot going on within the next four weeks during the festival.

Action: You can't be more correct. Also I did change Milo's age to twenty five to fit certain things for the future. Also Not only am I excited for this but the next book Sea of Change.

Giratina: You've changed that story's name like three times.

Action: And I may do it again.

Action: Also something I'm going to try is at least one chapter a week. Since this is a summer story I want it to be done during the summer. If I do another chapter it may be for another story or an additional one if I'm really 'feeling the flow.' I hate that season of yugioh but anyway bye!
