“Rex!” Tim yells out as he and Percy brace themselves on the spiral staircase. The carrier ship they were on began to shake violently. “Start the preflight prep.” Tim says as they rush down the steps after the boat stops moving.
“Aye, captain!” A bright blue wisp pops out from beneath Tim’s shirt, its thread-thin tether leading back to a glowing magical gemstone embedded into an amulet around Tim’s neck. “The Raptor’s preflight, packing, and refueling have all been completed.” The wisp orbits around his head as the duo sprints along the hanger’s deck.
“Has the crew boarded?” Tim asks the little comet-looking spirit while stopping at a glowing console beside his airship. Percy sat down in the empty chair and began to input a series of codes while flipping many switches. Tim typed in a long string of codes on a pad before it flashed green and sank into the panel. “Codes set for launch. You set Percy?” He places a hand on the busy older man’s shoulder.
“Get your ass moving, Captain before you miss the Storm Run.” Percy smiles playfully while brushing Tim’s hand off his shoulder. “I’ll watch your demise from the safety of this ship, so put on a good show!” Percy yells at Tim as he runs off to board the airship.
“Crew is all buckled in and ready for take-off, captain.” Rex quickly circles the captain’s head while flashing as he speaks. “Raptor is warming up as we speak. We will be flight-ready once you are set, captain.” Rex flies back into his gemstone beneath the captain’s shirt as they reach the airship called Raptor.
“You ready, girl?” Tim whispers to the airship while gently caressing its exterior. “Let’s go on a wild ride.” His soft smile fades as he steals himself for what’s to come. “Open the hatch.” The Raptor airship responds to his command and opens the hatch for him to enter. “Seal hatch, start main flight sequence.” The hatch closes behind him while locking itself tightly.
Once the hatch is sealed, Rex floats from the gemstone. His wispy form expands into a large, fragile bubble before he explodes to cover the entire interior of the Raptor. “In position, captain.” Rex’s voice comes from the ship itself.
“Status of the fleet?” Tim asks while he stops by a small locker room. Opening his personal locker, he starts to put on his tight flight suit and survival accessories.
“The StormWall has cracked its barrier, and the sea monsters have started their charge. Orders, captain?” Rex magically shut and sealed the locker and the room after Tim left it.
“Tell the crew to brace for lift-off. We fly after the escorts are finished with their fun.” Tim said while walking down a tight hallway. The door slid open to allow him entrance into the rowdy, loud room beyond.
“Shut it, you short bitc-OW! Stop throwing things!” Tanner shouts as metal tools are thrown loudly off his armor. “Stop it, Tina! Shit, I’m sorry! Alright?!” He complained while guarding his head. His helmet was on the other side of the room, still stuck in his seat.
“I dare you to say that again, you nasty bastard!” A petite, short-headed girl threw another magical wrench at the cowering man in armor.

“Tina!” Tim snapped his fingers loud enough that they echoed around the cabin. The fighting pair went silent as they both turned to him.
“Save- ugh!” Tanner dropped his guard before pleading with Tim, and Tina took full advantage of it. The wrench bounced high into the air off of Tanner’s thick skull.
“Enough.” Tim’s outstretched hand glowed with a hazy aura before a matching aura appeared around the wrench, pulling the tool into his waiting grasp. “Tina, make sure the weapon system is ready to go. Tanner…” Tim sighs before snapping his fingers again, and the stuck clasp releases the armored man.
“Freedom!” Tanner shouts before sprinting from the engine cabin to join his fellow Adventures in the passenger cabin.
“Rex, make sure Tanner doesn’t touch anything important…” Tim and Tina both let out a sigh.
“Make sure Bucky has left the Raptor before joining Percy at the Controls.” Tim hits a button to retract the seat and table Tanner was using, and they both sink into the airship's frame.
“Fly straight, captain.” Tina snaps into a Trinity Fleet salute before she springs forth to hug Tim quickly. “Please survive the StormWall.” She softly prays before rushing out of the room.
“The carrier is lifting off, captain.” Rex informs Tim as he opens the hatch to the airship's cockpit. “Brace for impact!” Rex’s warning shout echoes throughout the airship for all passengers to hear.
“Woah!” Tim quickly sits on the floor as he holds onto the safety rings lining the hallways. The top deck of the carrier had magically retracted into itself, allowing four balloon-styled airships to take off. These airships were attached to a chain at the four corners of the carrier ship. Once they reached a height where the chains became taunt, the air balloons glowed with a powerful magical energy.
“Lift off!” Rex calls out as the carrier takes to the skies. The magical balloons keep rising until they reach the top of the dome. The airship carrier was now safely out of the reach of the sea monster below. “We reached hover height, captain. The Trinity Fleet has started their naval battles against the enemies.” Rex’s report comes in as Tim stands up.
“Sound the launch alarm; I want everyone strapped in and ready to go now.” Tim smashed a button on the wall to open the hatch to the cockpit. After entering, he retrieved a helmet from the wall and equipped it with a satisfying click. Unlike the traditional style of control system used by every other airship, the Raptor had a customized setup designed by Tim for Tim.
Tim swings his leg over the low saddle-like seat and places his foot into a metal pedal device that closes with a click. After clicking in the other foot, he leans forward to grab the control rods. Once in hand, the clear window of the cockpit starts to glow with magical symbols and charts flashing around the controls. Various readings and data are shown as holographic magical lights project onto the glass canopy.
The airships next to the Raptor start to shake and glow as it comes to life. After a moment, all the airships within the carrier roar with magical lights. A few sleeker, slender models near the outer edge of the group are signaled to take off.
“This is your captain speaking; the Hornets have just left the nest, so you had better hold onto your asses; we are about to launch.” Tim let go of the intercom button before letting out a sigh. “Here we go. Are you ready, Rex?” Tim asks while glancing at a small blue orb hovering between the handlebars.
“Born ready, captain!” Rex shouts with excitement as other airships take off with an explosive roar.
“Tower, Raptor. Ready for Drop.” Tim says while holding the side of his helmet.
“Raptor, Tower. Copy. Drop in Three. Two. Drop!” A voice replies to him from within the helmet.
