Level 10 Class selection

Level 10 Class selection

Waking up to pain was something Jack new all too well, though this pain wasn’t something entirely new to himself as he had had bullets hit his bullet proof vest in combat breaking a rib once before but this time, he could feel his whole chest and the pain that racked up inside of him. As Jack moved, he ended up shifting the rubble from the wall that had collapsed around him to reach for his potions bag and pulled out a fresh potion before guzzling it down as he felt the bones slip back into position while painful, he new it was helping him by saving his life in this hell hole of a dungeon.

So, Jack sat there in pain for what felt like ages but likely in the outside world had been mere seconds, cursing his luck of all things. Was that creature a boss monster and just being in its area of influence get it targeted on him or was it more devious than he had previously suspected due to its bulky nature as the raging brute.

Seeing as the creature was laying at his feet blood pooled and flowing out of the body that he had killed it, that’s when he felt the rush of energy inside of him.

Looking over his stats Jack was blown away six whole free stat points available to begin with was amazing which made sense four of them came from his class and he guessed you would always get two as the base which made sense to him. Looking over his stats was something Jack was starting to hate, no one ever wanted to see the full stat listings as it always felt like two much.

So, Jack hurriedly looked over his stats and chose endurance as well as Agility to be split down the middle so far, he was doing decent damage, but he was getting hit far too often for his liking getting endurance up meant less meaningful damage was taken as well as agility getting up allowed Jack to push forward and dodge the enemies in hopes of hot having to take that hit.

Endurance 15-18

Agility 14-17

With that at his next level Jack could figure out a direction that he would like to go in. So far, he had little idea of which was the best route for him but maybe monster hunter needed all four of the physical stats to work best? Shrugging to himself Jack figured he would just have to wait and see how it all worked out.

Groaning Jack pushed himself up but realizing that the potion had faded, and so Jack took another potion from his inventory and chugged it down. Once the potion was swallowed Jack pulled himself to his feet to survey his surroundings, over close to where he was there was the body of the hulking monstrosity seeing that it glowed brightly in his vision in the warm glow that showed hidden loot Jack rushed over which was more of a stumbling walk as he made his way over towards the corpse.

Arriving at the corpse Jack looked it over before then smell hit him making Jack wanting to back up a few steps but seeing as this corpse held something valuable Jack touched the corpse to start to look for things when a notification flashed into his vision.

Play Jack Rickson do you wish to loot Hulking monstrosity as you have delt 100% of the damage all loot will be deposited into your storage. Yes/No

Seeing this Jack slightly taken aback by the message he did mentally click yes in his mind before he instinctively new what had been looted.

Looking into his storage Jack saw two things the first was two gold coins which was a huge win in his mind. The other thing was a pair of glass vials that held a dark red liquid almost a dried blood colour. They looked far different then the health potion vials that he had previously purchased so either they were the greater version or something completely else, so Jack left them in the bag to ask Tokhta probably soon since he would need to acquire new potions that fit his level.

Before Jack headed anywhere else, he reloaded his sidearm ensuring his still had several full mags, but it was sad tow see a full one gone in just that fight. Sighing more to himself then anything since there was nothing, he could do about it Jack looked at his two new skills the first one the map seemed to be an instinctual map almost like a perfect recall and awareness as if placing himself in a top-down view of a map when he focused on it. This was great for marking interesting locations the first of which was the store location as well as the quest giver location that was Lord Gallen now no matter how lost he felt he would always know where he was which was a bit of a relief for him since this place made him always feel on edge and unsure.

The second skill was the tracking skill this one was straight up a passive skill instinctually Jack new that it was always there like a radar that constantly sent out pings into the aether around himself looking for monsters that may be hidden from sight no longer will a night stalker catch him unaware. Lowing himself slightly he nocked on the wood of the flooring since it was best to not test his luck on that, but at least it would give him some warning from what he felt it only granted what felt like a two-meter radius around himself which wasn’t a far distance by any means but as the skill grew it informed him that it would grow as well.’

Nodding to himself at how far he had come from this evening, It was beginning to feel like Jack had been in here several days now which was not something he appreciated hopefully he could find away out soon though knowing that he couldn’t rush to the finish, no Jack had to just take his time and make sure he was smart about things.

Moving towards the exit of the room Jack was about to leave to go back to Tokhta before he realized he didn’t explore the room first since it was clear of monsters a quick walk around the room would never hurt just be smart and careful was all and he would be on his way back up the stairs.

It was a quick looked around the room to which jack was slightly surprised he had found was looked like to be a coat hung up on the wall checking its pockets netted him two more silvers which he would never complain about since every silver counted as hopefully, he could get some armor and maybe even something enchanted like his pistol which would be a great help. Jack couldn’t liberate anything else from the room, so he started his slow walk back to the upstairs, the first few rooms Jack had spotted no monsters so far which was either a good sign or something very bad was going to happen.

Making sure to check his senses when he got to any door Jack would confirm no monster was in the room before moving on. Once Jack got back to the staircase though halfway up the stairwell was that female zombie that he had seen before back in the bathroom when he first arrived at this house, she looked him dead in the eyes before releasing a bellowing scream it sounded like a banshee as she wailed and flung herself at Jack. He was on the bottom part of the stairs he backed up and landed on the bottom floor as he watched the zombie banshee thing leap down at him from the top stairs hearing what sounded like to be bones snapping in a sickening squelch, she was slow to get up, but the wail only increased. Not wanting to both hear the Banshee any longer he drew his sword and slashed down at the banshee cutting off the scream to leave behind an Erie silence.

Jack figured now was his time to split and that’s what he did running up the staircase at two at a time nearly tripping before having to grab the banister before falling back Jack pushed himself upwards. Once at the top of the stairs Jack rounded the first bend and into the sewing room before making his way towards the back where the shop still stood open, and no blue barrier stood just waiting for Jack to swing on in and open. Behind him he could hear the pounding of footsteps making there way up the staircase making there way towards Jack he had moments to cross the line before what ever mass was following him caught up. Almost lunging Jack threw himself through the doorway before all noise was cut from him as he sighed in relief.
