Jovial Revenge

"Fuck! This is more unfair than I anticipated!" Park Jeongeun complained as the beast launched boulders towards his way—barely grazing his skin.

However, his taunts were effective. Perhaps a little too effective as the beast kept hurling boulder after boulder of different elements that materialised out of thin air towards him. The only reason it could never catch Jeongeun was due to his cunningness—shooting its eyes and causing it to focus on healing them if it wanted to capture the little, nimble mouse evading its onslaught.

"ROOAAARR!!!" It roared fiercely as windows shattered into smithereens from the intensity of its voice.

"Urgh! My ears…" As Jeongeun tried to shoot at the monster's eyes once more—a boulder knocked the gun out of his hand as it was crushed into oblivion.

"That's…not good." He muttered as he hastened his steps. Now that the beast no longer had to be cautious of his weapon—its endeavours of killing Park Jeongeun increased exponentially. He barely had time to catch his breath as even the slightest mistake could lead to his untimely death.

He jumped, rolled, ducked and crawled—doing everything he could to evade the beast's fatal attacks which gradually wore him out. Despite his weary condition, an energetic smile was plastered onto his face—as if he was thrilled to know that death was by his neck at all times—ready to take him away with one careless mistake.

After running for a little under three minutes—his movements suddenly halted as he stared at the beast with a crazed smile which only fueled its seething rage as it rushed faster than ever before. As its face was mere meters before reaching Jeongeun, its line of sight was covered by a mysterious green substance before spontaneously exploding—blinding the beast temporarily as it shrieked in pain.

"Now!" Takashi alerted as he emerges from behind the remains of apartment complexes alongside with the assassin.

Deftly, the assassin thrusted its daggers into the beast's eyes before it could shield them with its hands. Blood began streaming out of its eye socket uncontrollably as it attempted to flee from the scene.

But its attempts were futile as Kafil erected a fortress that encircled around one of the beast's legs. Irritated by the wounds inflicted and the restraints that had been put on it, a blood-curdling growl escaped from its throat.

"You shouldn't have done that, you dumb bastard." Jeongeun said as he entered the beast's gaping mouth with a long metal pole in his hand.

Before it could take any further action, Jeongeun started slicing and stabbing the beast's flesh from the inside. It screeched in pain once more while thrashing wildly, doing all it could to cough out the tiny human creating internal wounds.

Cars and buildings were flattened by its massive body as it struggled to exhale Jeongeun. Amidst the excruciating pain it felt every single second, the knight took the opportunity to shove a metal pole coated in Takashi's corrosive webs through the beast's wounded eye. With a match in his hand, he ignited the flammable liquid as it instantly burst into flames.

Part of its flesh, skull and brain scattered across the surroundings as it stumbled onto the ground, growling in agony as a mixture of blood and tears dripped down its face. But eventually, it stopped producing even the faintest of sound as Jeongeun burst forth from its neck—covered in blood from head to toe with an exhilarated expression splattered across his face.

"Ah…that was more fun than I expected." He admitted, leaping down from the beast's head.

"The rest of you can come out now."

Promptly, the mage, Sungah, and Uschi came out from their hiding spots as they all found themselves bewildered by the sight that stood in front of them.

A dragon-like creature with white scales tougher than iron—lying down on the ground as blood gushes out of its eyes, mouth, and from the top of its head profusely.

"Wie ist das...wie konnte das passieren? (How is that...How could this happen?)" Uschi asked in a petrified manner.

"Is…Is…! PATHUS POT LA TUMNA!!! (Finally…finally…! YOU FINALLY DIED AT LAST!!!)" The mage screamed jubilantly, kicking her corpse of the beast while shouting incessantly.

"Ist la tumna iop! Ist la tumna Jita, yetgy! Ist la tumna falsre! Ist! Ist! Ist! Ist jan kute! La yetoph tvi non! (This is for killing my dad! This is for killing my brother, Jita! This is for destroying my family! This! This! This! This is my hatred for you! Have fun rotting in hell, you bitch!)"

As the mage's temper gradually settles down, she collapses onto her knees as her comrades rush to her aid.

"Yytiya…yytiya…ornth…gre. (Finally…finally…everything is…over.)" She uttered, going unconscious as her body was caught by the knight and the assassin. They immediately escorted her to a much safer environment as Uschi chased after them.

"Wartet auf mich!!! (Wait for me!!!)" She yelled, swinging her tiny legs continuously to catch up to them.

"...What was that all about?" Takahashi questioned.

"Who knows. Probably some sort of anger she had all this time for that thing, and it all just burst out in one go. Just a speculation though." Jeongeun responded.

"So…Sir, what do we do about this?" Kafil asked, pointing at the beast's remains.

"Well, we can salvage its meat and scales. Although I doubt we can make any sort of armour since we don't have the tools but who knows. We may just find the equipment sooner or later. Now, come help me diassemble the carcass." He gestured at his subordinates.

Amidst their tedious task, Takashi accidentally stumbled upon a hoard of treasure while cutting through its dense muscles using a tomahawk. Inside its stomach laid an overly large egg that was the equivalent to Uschi's height, an ornate wand, two swords; one is an incredibly massive black sword too big for a normal person to wield and the other a slightly smaller yet still enormous sword with intricate drawings engraved on blade, four steel daggers with rather unique curved-like blade shape, a small leather pouch, and a full set of black armour with a black cape draping over its left shoulder.

"I hit the jackpot!" Takashi shouted fervently.

"An idiot's luck is the best type of luck as expected." Jeongeun commented.

"Hey!"

"Anyhow, well done. Although technically, we can just take all of these for ourselves…let's not. We can't even use most of them in the first place. Splitting them up is better. I'll go and bring them back, and from there, we can try to negotiate who will get what. Hopefully it won't turn out to be a mess afterwards."
