He opened the cylinder and let the bullets out. He grabbed the duplicate bullet and compared it with the original, but with his limited knowledge and tools, he couldn't find the difference.
Then he thought of a way to check its authenticity while earning money, but first, he wanted to check the last new tab he got.
[Inventory: Only duplicated items can be stored in the inventory.
[1 available slot]
He grabbed the duplicate revolver, thought about something, and stuffed an original bullet into it, then tried to put it in the inventory.
Instantly, the duplicate revolver in his hand disappeared, but the original bullet was left behind in the air, and it fell to the floor.
Grabbing the fallen bullet, he willed for the revolver to appear in his hand again, and like magic, it just appeared.
Then he put the duplicate bullets on them, and he managed to successfully store them in his inventory.
'Whats the difference between the duplicate and the original? Why can I only store a duplicate? Where do I even store them?'
Questions filled his mind before he shook them away. Too many things are currently not making sense, so what's a few more? ...
Then he returned the original revolver and bullets to its case and back to the location where he found it...He stored the duplicate in his inventory and readied himself to go somewhere.
There was also the Build tab in his system, but it was too long and complicated to process for now.
He proceeded to get out of his apartment and out of the building.
He avoided people he knew... And walked in the southern parts of the city. He could have gotten a cab, but he wanted to enjoy the night scenery of a cyberpunk-like city.
After 15 minutes or so of walking, he found himself in an alley where a large, bending machine-like cube was placed.
Approaching it, he observed his surroundings: a few people were deep in the alley smoking something, and there were a few women in the street with revealing outfits.
Making sure nobody was approaching and his face was hidden, he touched the sell button on the screen, and a small rectangular hole appeared along with the words above.
[Place your item below]
He then quickly put the revolver inside and the hatch automatically closed.

[Scanning the item... Please wait..]
He was nervous deep inside, especially since he had forgotten to bring an extra gun.
[Item identified: Phantasm Revolver V2.1 along with 5 compact zapper bullets]
Axis sighed in relief seeing the description; despite being old, these machines can scan the authenticity of an item, so the fact that there was no problem with the duplicate revolver and bullets means it was no different from the original.
What does this mean?
Well, the machine answered one of its important purpose...
[Calculating price..... Phantasm Revolver V2.1 = 250 credits
5 compact zapper bullets = 150 credits each.
Total: 1000 credits]
[Please place your credit chip for confirmation.]
A thousand credits. He did a life-threatening job, and he only got just over 100 credits for it, but this...
Everything wasn't clear yet; he still had no idea why he woke up in this world or what he was going to do, but no matter what world it was, there was one undeniable thing that was imperative:
Money.
He smiled widely as he put his credit chip in the deposit slot.
----------------------------------------
[1803 credits]
Axis couldn't stop smiling seeing the amount of money he had, even though he had looked at it over a dozen times already.
At the same time, he couldn't help but wonder if he could duplicate the credit chip itself. Wouldn't he double his money without selling things? He immediately shook his head, however; although it looked simple, the credit chip was a special device issued directly by the officials of Neodurn City.
A case actually happened in the past where a group of netrunners tried hacking into credit chips and somewhat copying and duplicating credits; however, the credit chip was connected to Cyberbank which was part of the deepest and most advanced part of the net, the cyberspace, where AIs directly managed the credit system. The AI noticed it and immediately stopped the action and sent people to 'apprehend' these netrunners.
The Neodurn family was the one who created and issued the credits, and with them, they run the city and buy anything they want. They wouldn't let anyone interfere with its system.
He found himself by the door of the apartment again, and as he went inside, he noticed a person with almost the same features as him but simple black hair and about an inch taller than him, 1.80 tall, wearing only a shirt and black pants.
"You're back. I heard what happened."
He crossed his arms and said with a smirk.
"Hey, Yuri.. yeah.. we handled it though." It was his brother, Yuri Smith, who was 5 years older than him.
"I heard... You were the one that took them out?"
Then his brother grabbed some veer on the side and said with a smile, "Come, let's celebrate your first successful car chase!"
Axis thought that it would be awkward to meet his 'brother', but what he was feeling right now was only the natural feeling of family. He took off his jacket and asked...
"How about yours?" "Job well done?"
"You know me. Of course, I got it..."
"Hahah"
Then Ax grabbed the small coffee table in the living room and placed it on the balcony along with some chairs...
"By the way, I got you something."
"What?" asked Ax nonchalantly while preparing for their drinking night.
When he turned around to face his brother, he threw something at him.
"Wha? Isn't this??"
Ax gawked at what was thrown at him; it was a leather-like black jacket with a red lining. What was special about it, though, were its materials.
"Yup, synthetic carbonite silicone leather... Bulletproof jacket, for short, was saving it up for your birthday, but..." His brother Yuri shrugged as he grabbed the bottle and placed it on the coffee table.
"...Thanks..." Ax couldn't help but feel a warm feeling on his chest; the last time he checked, these jackets cost 350 credits, which weren't easy to earn.
He wore the jacket, rummaged his hands around them, and said with a smirk, "Don't I look badass?"
"Fucking badass," Yuri responded with the same smirk.
"Hahah"
"Hahaha"
